Hello! My name is Logan and I am the creator of the webcomic series “Journey From Ashes” on WebToon Canvas! I’m an artist who loves to draw my own characters, but on rare occasions I make fanart, too! Please check out my .carrd for more info about me along with commission prices.

Anyways here’s a goddess that’s going to be in my comic. I wish i could give you context but y’all will just have to wait LMAO
To add on to my last post:
When you create something, you do not owe anyone anything. You do not owe perfection, you do not owe your content to even be good! Fuck it- be bad at writing! Be bad at drawing! It’s okay to make imperfect things because the more imperfect things we create the better our skills get over time.
It’s important to be able to take criticism, but it’s also important to not let expectations crush your spirit. It’s so easy to freeze in the face of trying to be “good enough.” And then with that you don’t get anywhere.
Like there’s nothing wrong with making something bad or making something that’s just “okay”. Perfectionism much like comparison is a death sentence for creativity.
I typically don’t post stuff like this on my art blog but this is something I feel somewhat passionate about considering I am a fiction/fantasy writer. Sometimes (not all times) people ask these questions in bad faith. If it’s a stranger, I’m more likely to be inclined to believe it is in bad faith than if a mutual or friend asked me about my world building.
World building is absolutely important, but some people love to ask these questions in an effort to shut down your idea entirely; They want to make you feel stupid for even having the idea in the first place.
My rule of thumb is:
If someone asks a question about your worldbuilding, it may be important to ponder the question to flesh things out more, but at the same time you don’t owe people immediate explanations and you have time to think about things! It’s okay if you can’t figure out what a megafauna in your story eats until you’re deeper into development. It’s okay to not know yet!
And I’m gonna be honest here:
It’s ABSOLUTELY okay for some things to “just be” because they’re cool. I have this weird elk creature in my comic that comes up in a flashback event, and someone asked me in bad faith
“How does it even run around in the forest as a predator, its antlers would hit the trees”
And you know what? That may be true if it were real! But it’s not real. I like my design of the creature and that’s good enough for me. Not everything has to be analyzed and dissected under a microscope.
You do not owe your audience perfection. Grow your worldbuilding at your own pace, it’ll come in time.
When you are a queer author, or an author of any minority group, people love to pull “Gotcha” scenarios all the time to shoot you down. It’s important to keep this reality in mind when speaking on this because there are a lot of bullies out there looking for blood when writing is supposed to be liberating and fun at the end of the day.
The thing about fantasy worldbuilding is that verisimilitude and the rule of cool are not enemies. Someone who looks at a pod of flying whales and asks "what do they eat?" is not being a spoilsport – they're engaging with the premise. There are any number of much more serious objections to aerial megafauna than lack of any obvious role in a trophic web that could have been raised if they just wanted to shoot the idea down; a person who wants to know what the flying whales eat is all but explicitly yes-anding the idea. Sure, you might not have an answer at your fingertips, but acting like it's unimaginative for them to have asked is a really fucking weird way to react.
I know this is from a 4 panel funny manga strip I’m making, but making manga panels just feels so good and right. It’s what I’m good at! ✨
Drew @rulerofthedistortionworld’s oc for art fight!! :) ✨
I don’t typically draw anthro characters but maybe I should more often!
I am still uploading character pages so thank you for being patient with me! 💖
Let the games begin >:)) (Even tho I'm starting a bit late!)
I'm working on your artfight attack but I gotta go to bed lol (it won't be super special compared to other artists' skill but it will be mine and I will be happy with it)
Aaaaaa I will love it no matter what! I love and cherish every piece of art of my ocs I’ve ever gotten from ppl! It just means a lot to me that people like my characters enough to want to draw them at all! 🥹✨
This is Nove by Apokalypsa on Toyhouse! My third attack! Thank you for letting me draw your badass OC! 😎✨
My first two attacks!! :)
First character belongs to Pure_Daydreams on ArtFight and the second character belongs to @grimothy5 ! Both of their designs are sooo fun! If you’re reading this you 🫵 should attack me! (I might just attack back 👀)
LET'S GO TEAM STARDUST WOOOOOO!
I'm so pumped!!!! I'm working on uploading everything right now. Stay tuned!
This is my first fight so please be kind and patient lol

An old piece but it crossed my mind again so I'm posting it here🕺
This is from my personal blog where I post memes and other stuff I like. Follow if you want, I'm posting this here to share awareness of this blog's existence, but also because I think this post is hilarious 🤣
Tfw you made your first d&d character as a kid and then you continue to draw him and change him for the next literal 12 years.
..And now he's the main character of your web comic LMAO
"Art regression" this. "Art regression" that. Progress is not linear and your style will continue to ebb and flow, expand and contract. Not every piece of art will be a masterpiece and that is alright.
What IS important is that you don't listen to negative people and you keep drawing. It utterly breaks my heart to see young artists give up on their passions because of stupid bullies on social media making fun of their style.
Never stop creating. You're doing great! ✨💖
Had a moment of no pain so i took advantage of it! Imma post later ;)
Hello! I've been recovering from surgery so that's why there's been a lack of artwork. Drawing is hard when you're in pain! But I'm hoping to get back into it when I can, I really want to make more Sun Haven art and work on JFA again.
Anyways, thank you for understanding and still following me throughout this time!
Yes I have been playing Sun Haven and yes I still have INSANE brainrot. 🤪
So you've learned the 12 principles of animation but don't know where to actually apply them? Fear not!! For here is my step-by-step process, very very condensed, into one singular giant GIF.
Hope it helps!
(You may need to open it in a new tab to read the text)
Ignis and Shang’s daughter!! I know the child system in game isn’t super in depth like this but this is how I imagine her lol
I love Sun Haven so much, here’s more of my fire elemental OC! ✨ His name is Ignis :)
Do any of you play Sun Haven? Because if you haven’t and you like farming sims and fantasy, you should :))
Oh and btw if you like my animated pfp go follow my friend! The original image is a cool collab I did with them, I linked their blog on this post:
Check it out if you haven’t already! It came out really good 🏳️⚧️
