Me and Xoinu! 💕 Sometimes you just gotta draw yourself with your little blorbos.

Welcome to my twisted speedpaint where I struggle to fit everything clip studio has to offer on my small iPad screen. Also, you would hate to see how I sit while drawing nowadays. (Imagine there’s cool music on this) Anyway here’s a cool concept sketch I made tonight! Enjoyyyyy :)

Cosmia’s ultimate form. Most Xarix cannot unlock this form within themselves, it takes incredible magical prowess to do so. However, she suppresses this form because she cannot control it. That’s why she wears her magien earrings- they are actually implants embedded into her body to help clearly channel and tone down her magic so she doesn’t lose control. She has had a few occasions where this form almost broke through, despite her implants. This was during times of extreme emotional stimuli- mainly negative emotions.

Did you know? These aren't just random scribbles I've made. It's part of the language I'm developing for my story.

Since it's a more brushed calligraphy style it's less clar than writing it normally- but it's what we sacrifice for artistic stuff lol!

Top says Gorro and Nobu (two characters that live there)

And bottom says Mevérenzi and Kavirenzi respectively with a dividing in the middle.

Mevé meand metal, and Kavi means clothes. Renzi means "smith" or "creator as a suffix to a word. You can use this for anyone who makes stuff! 😊💖

Character development, story development, dialogue, lore, worldbuilding- all done by MEEEE and someday it will pay off but until then y’all get out of context art as I improve my skills. >:)

I’m very excited to draw the other six- and no they are not directly related to Xoinu’s family. You’ll see someday 👀

Image one has delicate lineart that while it shows varying degrees of pressure, the characters are overlapped in a way where they are too homogenous. My solution to this issue is to clearly define each character with a uniform outline running along the very outside edge of the character while adjusting inner outlines as needed to unify the appearance of the outlines overall.

If you are using color to complete your image, image one is fine enough for that because the colors will make the characters stand out as long as the palettes are different enough. However when we are working in screentones / monochrome, a thicker outline provides more clarity amongst the dots and lines.
