The 8 episodes and 24-25 minute format are not gonna work for season 2.

In season 2, we gonna have charlie and vaggie singing, alastor backstory, the vees being the main villains, sir p being in heaven, so by my guess, we gonna see more of heaven. And so much more!

So, 8 episodes that are only 24-25 minutes long with this many things to cover. It just not gonna work. It is either going to be rushed or never bought again until the plot point is needed.

In my opinion, season 1 already suffered from being rushed, I do believe in the later episodes it found it footing and slowed a bit.

But still, with this, many things to cover for season 2. I fear that season 2 will/might suffer from being rushed

We were actually robbed of seeing Arthur with knowledge of Merlin’s magic. He would be insufferable. Can you imagine. His stupid cocky face when an enemy thinks they have him captured and disarmed, only for him to drop some cringe line like:

“You’re just too stupid to think outside the box.”

Before Merlin emerges from the shrubs and eviscerates every single one of them. & Arthur looks at him stupidly impressed and they share one of those long, knowing looks. Like. They could never have done it because it would have been so sexually tense it would have knocked every viewer out. Cowardice.

It’s the fact that when enchanted!Merlin calls Gwaine filthy, instead of a hands-out, “What the hell, man?” he just turns into a kicked puppy.

…Or perhaps, more accurately, a pangolin.

What if everyone in the digital circus is ai expect pomni?

Just imagine the biggest plot twist is everyone from Ragatha to Kinger turns out to be ai. And Pomni is the only real human, maybe a test experiment to see how the ai interacts with a real human.

it started on a hunting trip, gwaine was teasing mordred and took his stuff and hid it. merlin told him very sternly to give it back and mordred said "thanks dad"

from then on they all started calling merlin dad

with leon it came slower and from lancelot. lance was struggling with his relationship with gwen and he confided in leon

leon helped him work through it and when lance left he clapped leon on the shoulder and said "thanks pops"

of course the others all found out about it and started calling him pops

neither of them fits into "mom" or "dad" categories but they each have a role

the kids go to leon when they need solid advice, when they feel like they cant handle something alone and they need a real answer to a problem

they go to merlin when theyre hurt (physically or mentally) and he helps heal them. they also go to him when they need someone to vent to and not get a real answer from, merlin is more than happy to bitch with someone and he'll hold your grudges for you

when on hunting trips, leon makes sure they have food and merlin prepares it and makes sure everyone gets their share

theyre equally protective of the kids and they'll work together to move heaven and earth for them

when they dont want to deal with the knights they try and pawn them off on each other. they ask merlin for advice and he says "oof that sounds like one for pops"

gwaine gets mad at arthur and goes to leon, who tries to give him advice, gwaine gets even more upset and leon calls for merlin because he cant handle the big shows of emotion

the kids all fight to be the favorite. arthur tells the others he has to be the favorite because he's king, leon grounds him for holding his station above the others heads

merlin's favorite changes based on how much trouble they've cause him

leon's changes based on how well they did in training

raising the knights eventually gets merleon together.

MY REVIEW OF EPISODE 3!

Summary of the episode: The episode follows the hotel as they do trust exercises, Charlie puts vaggie in changes. In plot B, we follow Alastor as he goes to an overlord meeting.

My problems short formed:

● so much was going on, but it was still boring

● Some things should be saved for another episode

● cut back on characters

My problems long formed:

● this episode was really boring. It just was a miss for me, I mean, we knew about the angel head. I was surprised when Velvette had the angel head, and Camille was the one that did it, but the shock was over because after that episode, we got nothing on angel head at all.

So I suggest separating Vaggie plot for her own episode, then leave this episode to Camille and velvette as a whole. Before I forget, I suggested in my earlier reviews, keeping the audience from knowing about the angel head, and then when the angel head is thrown, I just know all the audience would be completely focus.

● like I said, vaggie should have an episode focused on her. And who she is without charlie, all the people I seen who like vaggie only like her because she with Charlie.

And I personally feel like you should like the characters for who they are, not who they are with. And for vaggie without or with Charlie, she basically summed up to be angry, doesn't trust anyone, and without a second thought, and pull out her spear.

(I just find it funny that vaggie doesn't do anything with her spear fighting wise until the last couple of episodes)

● I suggest, to cut back on characters, and the overlords could be those characters. I mean, none of them even really spoke except maybe 6.

I think the episode should've the overlords meeting being canceled because everyone was busy or made up excuses on why they didn't show up.

My rewrite:

So we see Camila working, then velvette kick the door open.

Velvette is demanding for Camila use the information she knows. Camila doesn't want to be part of it.

Then velvette talk about how in recent years Camila has been losing more respect form the overlords. Then respectless happens, and then velvette is kicked out. As Camila starts to be more tense, her shadow starts to stretch out, becoming alastor shadow.
