He passed the Blademaster exam in record time, set a new record in combat training, and even managed to master the Lightning Helm! He’s a wiz with Zonai technology, and one of our scouts saw him slay a Gleeok single-handily!

Granted, the new recruit’s professionalism still needs work. He refuses to dye his hair in accordance with regulations, keeps approaching uncover operatives while fully uniformed, and won’t stop trying to eat the bananas meant as bait for Link.

But despite those shortcomings, the newest Blademaster is still the best recruit we’ve gotten since the Great Calamity. If anyone can finally defeat Link, he can.

Oh, and what luck! The new Blademaster is here in the hideout right now! Here he comes!

At some point between the Silver Chair and the Last Battle, as Susan is slowly falling away from her faith in Narnia, she and Eustace have a fight about it. She just can’t understand how someone who used to be so logical, someone who hadn’t grow up on fairy tales at all, could believe something so fantastical. She calls him a baby, tells him he needs to grow up and open his eyes to the real world because this is all there is.

His answer?

“Well, you know, I don’t really care what you say about it. Maybe it is all just a silly game, something we made up to pass the time in a world that is so dreary and dark. But it was real to us anyway, and that’s all that matters. So I’m going to go on believing in Aslan even if there isn’t any Aslan. I’m going to keep living as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn’t any Narnia. Because even if it wasn’t real, that make-believe world, as you called it, is a good deal better than this one.”

(Bonus: He doesn’t even realize he echoed Puddleglum’s speech to the Lady of the Green Curdle. But the situation is uncanny, and Puddleglum’s words had stuck with him in such a way that he’d never forgotten them.)

I’ve thought like really long and hard about all the male characters presented in Remarried Empress and, might as well do a blurb on Heinley… err Heinrey I’m still flip flopping between the translations for the name

I’ve done previous breakdown on my opinion of Sovieshuu here if anyone’s curious. The reason why I love Heinrey so much is not so much to do with the fact that he’s the classic good looking male lead or whatever but because he is honest. And that really is what makes it or breaks it imo when it comes to Navier’s relationship. Prior to the divorce it’s really hard to see this!!! Because of the whole bird thing, it really covers up why their relationship works!!! This honesty doesn’t even manifest until after they go to the Western Kingdom!

Natsu preaches his love for his friends, and he’ll die protecting them, no questions asked. Except I think he holds grudges. Never allowed to express them, because he’s always expected to love his friends. But sometimes he sits across Lucy’s table and breaks the silence of them eating, by saying something along the lines of “I didn’t like it when Erza punched me in the face today. I seriously didn’t mean to ruin her cake, it was an honest accident. She didn’t even apologise, even though I did.” And Lucy won’t say anything, because she knows he doesn’t want an answer - he just needed to air his frustration out. “Happy gave me the silent treatment, but I don’t think I deserved it. He always butts into our conversations, but I can’t say hi when he’s talking with Carla. He has double standards and I can’t help but feel annoyed.”

Lucy once tried to get him to tell his friends about the troubles he was having - that he didn’t care for being punched or being treated like nothing when he was doing all he could for everyone, but Natsu just told her that having someone to talk to about it was enough. Except Lucy couldn’t help but wonder if she ever made him feel that way - defeated, overlooked. So she asked him. He only said that his wishes regarding her hadn’t been because she upset him - it was him being possessive. Wanting her to stay in bed for longer, wanting her to spend more time with him rather than her books - all things he’d also be sad if she did, because he knew she loved reading and writing, and he loved the coffee she made every morning for the two of them.

Yes, Lucy was the one person who Natsu could never hold any grudges against. She who had offered so much to be with him - how could he be anything but grateful

It's better to "test" the road by accelerating quickly than by slamming on the breaks. One is how much you won't move and the other is trying to stop moving, which is more dangerous.

Winter Driving Tips from Your Internet Brother:

Make time to scrape off your car before you go. Scrape off all of your car. This means the roof and the rear windshield as well.

If the road looks wet but you’re not sure if there’s black ice, look at the wheels of the car in front of you. If you can see droplets flinging up, the water on the road is not frozen.

Your stopping distance will increase exponentially with how bad the weather is. Give yourself at least twice as much room to stop as you normally would.

Yea, he’s a goofy little guy. A silly fella. But all those puzzles you do in the games are canon. Even the ones that were so hard you had to give up and google them. And he doesn’t even have the visual advantage of a 3rd person POV like we do.

Not only that, but he does a lot of these puzzles in dangerous areas. He’s very smart. He may not do heavy research or have an encyclopedic knowledge of ancient history like botw/totk Zelda does, but he still displays quite often just how smart a thinker he is.
