This is William Vangrove, an avatar of the Dark and the Flesh.
As a disgraced surgeon, the debt began to pile up and he needed money, so…the black market organ trade was an enticing path. He was a good surgeon. He *was* a good surgeon. He would be good enough to collect organs without much issue. It was easy enough to find victims, but…he picked the wrong one eventually. This victim was taken over by something else and its home had been disturbed so, they needed a new one. The creatures, a mess of liquid void, eyes and teeth, filled every part of his body and influenced his mind. Urging him to spread the creatures and find more hosts. The creatures need darkness and food to develop and that makes human bodies the perfect incubator.
Designing this avatar was fun! I especially love the creature but I think I still like Caelum Fairchild (the Vast x Spiral avatar) better. He’s just so silly.

Updated my Spiderman OC yet again.
Alright, let’s do this one last time….
My name is Lucas A. Letter. I was bitten by a LOT of radioactive spiders and now I’m my world’s SECOND Spiderman. Every night I go out and try to take down the criminals of New Light, to get the crime rate down. I want the world safe for my niece. I still remember the stories Spiderman passed down through my family and that’s the life I want for both of us.
You actually hit a lot of the big ones and even added some things I didn’t even think about! Here’s are the things that I thought of when I was drawing it that you didn’t get or thought of it differently.
- The Game Pieces- You were so close! But the colors are wrong (I suspect this is because of the finishing filter I used effecting it). These are actually the colors I took from the game! Daisuke is pink (matching his shirt), Anya is blue (you got that one) and Swansea is yellow/orange (matching his shirt).
- The Candles/Jimmy- you were right on the color coding and Anya! She goes in the back and Jimmy’s is still lit for a reason. Jimmy’s candle is also the only one still on the left side where Curly is “healthy”. This is supposed to be the shift in Curly’s way of thinking about things and that he was a friend before everything happened. The other candles being on the right side is the ones he feels like he couldn’t save but he doesn’t feel bad for Jimmy so Jimmy can’t be with the others. It also just generally represents he ignored the problems for his friend.
- The Candles/Daisuke- I actually made the orange one lean over towards the green very specifically. Daisuke was still ignorant to Jimmy’s actions when he died and died believing Jimmy was still a good person, hence he’s leaning towards Jimmy’s lit candle.
- The knife- You did get the icing covering up the blood thing! Good job! But there’s also rust on the knife on the right side of the blade (towards the post-crash side), more representation of Curly realizing just how awful Jimmy is, how corrupted he is.
- Anya Sorry Piece- Her piece being in the middle was mostly to represent how she stuck with curly through everything and tried to believe in him. She kept him alive and did her best with what she had. But, unfortunately, he failed her and she suffered for it (which is why there’s icing on it).
Small things: The pills are pink and blue because Anya and Daisuke are the joys of the ship and generally stay more positive. The Green confetti (Jimmy) is the only confetti that’s curled (twisted the narrative).

This was my friend’s first faire and she wanted to go all out so I helped her put together a costume and made her a mask (I had made my own costume the year prior).
Everyone LOVED us. Everywhere we went, we would hear people just being like “*gasp* the BIRDS!” And for the entire day, people would just call us “The Birds” and we were totally fine with that. I even got pulled up for a Washington Well Wenches show so I could win a flower for my lovely “Crow Wife”.
