It’s finished…

New Magnus Archives OC! Vast x Spiral (as decided by polling)
This is Caelum Fairchild (if you ask how to pronounce it he’ll give you a different answer every time). A vast avatar getting caught in a hurricane has an epiphany, spirals are beautiful.
He’s a fashion designer, brand name “Head in the Clouds”. The wing shawl around his shoulders? Yeah that’s an artifact from a failed vast ritual. He just spiced it up.

Seems like my OC will be a mix of the Vast and the Spiral! Very interesting

I’m stealing this to talk about Chaotic Minds AU for a hot sec (because I frankly do not talk about it enough).
Malevolent canon is all about this, humanity, experiencing the worst of it and going “yes, this is what I want”. Chaotic Minds is not that.
CM is about abandoning your humanity. In Malevolent, John is turned to humanity by Arthur, but in CM, Arthur is pulled away from it by Kayne. Of course, this Arthur is Darthur, he already had a bit less humanity. He experienced the worst of it and he *doesn’t want it*. CM is about escapism. It’s finding unhealthy relationships and clinging onto them because they mean you’re not alone.
Sinner is, by their very nature, a toxic relationship. It’s codependency to the highest degree. They use each other to escape from all the pain.
They never want to hurt again and that means giving up their humanity.

What got you into the malevolent podcast?
Oh! Good question! I had been obsessed with TMA for about 3 months and was just craving something else to go with it. I heard about Malevolent and just went for it. Now I’m obsessed with Malevolent and have created a somewhat popular whole ass AU for it lol
Honestly I know it's been a while but I would love to see you redesign the sins from hazbin/helluva boss. There was...SO MUCH missed potential in character design, personality, color palette, etc etc.
Ah thank you! I actually don’t interact much with the Hellaverse fandom since I have some opinions on how everything is handled (will not get into discourse here) but Alastor was an exception because his design just really bothered me and I loved home when I was a fan.
