A bit bizzare but when everyone first attended beacon there was another student, Fiona. She and Pyrrha both have a crush on Jaune, but will they work together or will they be rivals?

Fiona would crush on jaune but would be too afraid of pyrrha to do anything

Now I’m just imagining an AU where Winter decides that if she’s going to be the maiden, she should probably get a partner/bodyguard to keep her from getting Amber’d.

And here comes Mr.Tall, Blond, and Sturdy. A bit undertrained, but strong and smart and loyal in all the ways she’d need to start with. If Weiss and her team’s stories were reliable. She’d have little trouble turning him into a huntsman a cut above most.

The fact that many of the Civilian Inquiries asking after his performance emphasizes him being ‘wonderful with children’ and ‘husband material’ is just an added bonus.

Jaune: ugh man what a workout

Winter: (leaning against the wall) please dont stop on my account.

I seriously keep wanting to write a fic that starts with this, and they just end up landing within sight of each other.

Then they have to trek an indeterminate distance together to get to the evacuation point back at Beacon or back to Vale. Jaune wouldn’t have a clue who she is at this point in canon, I think?

Feels and bonding would happen, I have no idea what would happen once they were wherever they wanted to go though...

It’s not just that they both lost someone at Beacon. It’s that they couldn’t do anything to stop it.

I wanna see 12 Sun Wukongs backed by 8 Flynt Coals with Jaune off to the side playing guitar again.

There’s also 5 Blakes, but none of them want to be there.

Sun uses his Semblance to just form a whole barbershop quartet of just him

He can’t sing, he’s just very loud

But he’s got a lot of heart

He’s very enthusiastic, but nobody can get him to stop because he can’t hear them over his own screeching

It’s glorious.

Jaune "Ready to die for anybody" Arc and Winter "Scared to die for everybody' Schnee. IDK how to make it shippy but I thought it was a neat parallel.

I’m not against Ilia getting a bi-awakening,or demi, or whatever. I think it could be done well and be interesting.

...But this AU is already quick and crowded by design, which is fun. But it wouldn’t give Ilia the sustained focus needed for the arc to come off as much more than a handwave.

That’s just what I think though.

Councilman Arc: Ilia honestly wanted to believe in Jaune Arc but her past left her jaded, not near as much as Adam’s had or in the same way but her scars were still there. So after the assassination attempt she takes an assignment for Sienna to be his shadow and gets to see that Jaune really can be trusted. So much so that she begins to wonder if she’s bi.
