the second screenshot is looking up the same exact thing, but with a (australian) vpn on. canadian vpn didn't fix it fyi.

I have compiled a list of random tics if your characters are feeling too stiff on the page, free to use for everybody:

Using your pointer finger nail to pick at the side of your thumb

Rotating the opposite ankle as your dominant hand

Matching your breathing to the beat of a song you like

Tapping the toes, to a beat or just for funsies

Biting at the inside of your lips

Tracing words on your thigh or wrist

Tapping out your heartbeat on any reachable surface

I know there are a lot of people posting about TikTok but...

I've already seen about 100 posts about TikTok users coming to tumblr as "refugees," and about 50 of those posts were saying something snippy or rude or just hateful in general, like "don't come to my blog" or "don't invade my social website" or trash talking people who are genuinely upset about the loss of their community, and I just wanted to let everyone know that my blog is "refugee" friendly, so anyone can come chat or send asks. Feel free to invade my blog and social app... any intrusion is welcome! ❤️❤️❤️

Tumblr thought continued, I was doing my weekly blog trim because I reblog way too many things and I regret nothing, and I noticed that I can't see how many people have seen my posts. I can only see who left a positive mark (a like or a reblog or something) and that makes my heart happy. I love tumblr.

Random tumblr thought

You guys know what I love about tumblr? The fact that there's no dislike button. There's an option to like a post if it makes you giggle. There's a button to reblog a post if it's cute or funny in a way that you want it representing you on your blog. There's an option to unlike a post if you've growm past liking it. There's a way to delete posts if you don't want them representing your blog anymore. You can blaze shit now... whatever the actual hell that means.

There are all of these options for helping content grow and keeping things around that bring you joy, but there's no dislike button. There's no thumbs down, because tumblr understands that the true opposite if love is indifference. If I don't like a post on my dash (I normally do because it's like 70% nondelphic posts at all times but that's not the point) I scroll past it. If a post or user makes me uncomfortable, I just hit the block button. No comfrontation or negativity required. And I just think that's nifty.

I just really love the tumblr app and community for that quality, how I rarely ever see any true negativity going around towards other members or content.

I just heard this lady in the next aisle over describing gay people to her companion and she said they had "a stellar appetite for other men" and I find that hilarious because it implies one of the following:

A- She doesn't much care for heterosexual men.

B- She thinks gay men are cannibals.

Or C- She just thinks men are yummy?

Bitter and lonely straight men who feel unloved by women do not seem to understand that women do not love men the way they think women should love men. Women who love men romantically don't love them with admiration, as a wise authority figure or someone they can rely on like children rely on their parents and belivers trust in their god. They love men the same way that they love cats.

Their weird hairy little house gremlin whose thoughts and feelings are occasionally utterly incomprehensible and expressed in strange ways, but who still clearly tries, and still clearly loves. Women love them despite of the home renovations they unpromptedly do.

Confession time...

I went to see Wicked with my nieces last weekend, and I was genuinely upset and personally hurt that Elphaba and Galinda were not, in fact, lesbians who were deeply, secretly in love with each other and Fiyero (however tf you spell it) was not their gay best friend forever and ever, not take backsies. Because all of the screenshots I've ever seen from stage performances really do make it look like it...

The Legend of the Snow Tit

Yes, I am dead serious and you read that right.

So.

My nieces live in South Carolina with my sister and her partner, and they just recently had snow. There were less than three inches, but I swear on chocolate and Timothee Chalamet's immaculate jawline that these girls spent six hours STRAIGHT collecting snow from my sister's driveway, all of their cars, the gotdamn mailbox, and both of their neighbors' driveways for what ended up being 12 buckets, five gallons each, of snow.

They said that they wanted to build a snowman that was taller than me, so that we could get married before he melted because apperently their only criteria for my future husband is that he's taller than I am. Don't ask... kids are weird, and these ones specifically are very distressed that I, at 19 years old, have not gotten married and provided them with a male, boy cousin. They really wanted a brother, but my sister and her partner don't want anymore kids.

Anywah, I took the girls to the mall today and it was about 50 degrees, and the snowman was already on his last legs. His head was lost at some point, likely to the heat. When we came back, the entire torso had melted into a ball vaguely the size of a golf ball and I shit you not, my six year old niece's first comment was that "it looks like a giant boob sticking out of the ground."

That one Bluey episode with the instrumental version of the choral part from "Homewardbound." The one where Bingo is dreaming about space. I think about that one a lot. I think about Bluey a lot, to be honest.
