so if the leaks are true (which they seem to be) and henry + charlie have been cast for fnaf movie 2, and if this means that schmidt=afton and schmidt=emily are both nil in the filmverse. this leaves us the extremely funny implication that 1) the filmverse lore is actually way closer to the games than we thought, and 2) the schmidts really are just some random fucking nobodies who got dragged into the insane fucking lore of fnaf. like they're just these two autistic traumatized siblings going through a completely normal lilo & stitch arc and then abby finds her stitch and it's five dead ghost children and mike accidentally ends up with a mass murderer as his career counselor and now they are sitting down with vanessa on a pepe silvia map trying to figure out the fnaf timeline. abby's trying to explain shattervictim to her brother who is just really wishing that garrett had stayed in one fucking place for five fucking minutes

Yahya x Gosha. This was supposed to be a sloppy make out session, but I couldn’t figure out how to get their snouts to do that. So it turned out surprisingly tame.

A Gosha x Yahya thing I might write (anyone remember my ‘Gosha and Yahya get married and adopt Melon’ Au idea? 😅)

Excuse me while I ramble about Yahya x Gosha for a moment here…

- Gosha is the most gentle, sweetest and compassionate carnivore Yahya ever knew. Even after thirty some years of separation and resenting him for leaving, Yahya still has feelings for Gosha.

- Yahya isn’t good at expressing love. He feels love but it’s difficult for him to show it or say that he loves someone because he’s afraid of being close with someone-believing his status as Beastar will put them in danger or that he might drive them away.

- Yahya puts on a cold, hard exterior but he’s broken and sad deep down inside and he will never admit it or let anyone see that side of him.

- Gosha’s love language is hugging and hand holding. He can kiss but, due to trauma surrounding Toki’s death, he prefers not to.

- Gosha is not immune to feeling sad or angry about society. He’s faced discrimination all his life as a venomous carnivore. But he doesn’t dwell on it because he just doesn’t have the energy to do so.

- The only thing Gosha wants in life is to be happy and see his family happy and safe.

- Yahya has never felt strong feelings for anyone before Gosha. The concept of love and intimacy is both beautiful and terrifying to him. He can imitate it but he’ll shut down if he genuinely feels something.

- Yahya’s expression of gratitude is usually money, sweet treats, and special deals (clearing records, pardons, etc). Expressing love is harder but he’ll make it something you’d really love.

Your AU about Gosha and Yahya adopting Melon made me wonder about a couple of things.

Since Melon would be adopted as a baby, how different would his personality be like since he would have a loving and supportive family right from the start?

And how would his relationship be like with his two adopted dads and sister? Especially Leano since both are hybrids.

I think Melon would still feel cynical and bitter about society’s treatment of hybrids but he wouldn’t be as hateful of the world of hate himself as much.

Knowing Gosha, he’d love and support Melon just as much as he would Leano and Legoshi. Species differences and what society thought wouldn’t matter in their family, only that they had each other.

They’d be equally protective of Melon but I think Yahya would be much more likely to kill or severely harm someone if they dared to hurt his son (not that Gosha wouldn’t do the same but he’d probably try a less extreme approach before using violence).

So basically, Melon would have a lot more of a ‘who cares?’ attitude about society. He’d likely still have body dysmorphia issues and food insecurity (mainly that he can’t taste anything) but again, he’d have support for that.

Since Leano is (I think) a good couple years older than him, I can see her being a loving and protective big sister to him. Maybe she’d scare off anyone who’d try to bully Melon in school and walked him home from school to protect him. Being both hybrids, I think Melon and Leano could talk about things that they felt their fathers couldn’t fully understand.

For this reason, I think Leano’s death would be especially devastating to Melon but maybe in this AU she doesn’t die(?). I kinda want her in the AU so maybe in just ‘AU’s of the AU’ she does die but not in the main AU? 😅

If my math is right, Melon (being 24 canonically and Legoshi 17 to 18), Melon would be about 6 or 7 when Legoshi is born. They’re technically nephew and uncle, but they’d be more like brothers here. Melon would tease Legoshi over his relationship with Haru but he’d also give him a heads up when Yahya and Gosha are angry with him (“Legoshi, did you really eat someone’s leg? Dad and Papa are freaking out right now”).

Actual dialogue here:

Legoshi: “I’m grounded am I?”

Melon: “You’d be lucky if they let you out when you’re 30.”

Side note: Leano would totally stand up for Legoshi after he eats Louis’ leg, fights Riz, and drops out of school. Arguing that Gosha and Yahya instilled in him a ‘sense duty and hero complex’ and Yahya saying: “He’s Gosha’s grandson alright.” Lol

TLDR: Yahya and Gosha are loving dads to Melon and he’s close to his adoptive sister and nephew. Yeah their family dynamic is a little strange but they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Yahya doesn’t even care if he gets poisoned by Gosha’s venom. He’d die happy.
