You know what pisses me off? People acting so surprised when they see RBR had the most 1-2 podiums from all the teams (3 in total), saying 'Pérez was on podium?' or 'Pérez actually got a P2?'
UGH! He started the season slaying! He got 3 P2 and a P3 afterwards. Then P4 in Miami, and then RBR downfall started. 2024 IS NOT CHECO'S ENTIRE CAREER! But the media and the team made him look like he was such a bad driver, that people is surprised he got podiums in the season.
The same when they say Hulk hasn't had any podiums so far, 'when even Pérez managed to do so'... Nico is a great driver, BUT SO IS CHECO! When they were teammates, the fight was really close, but I admit Nico has the WORST luck ever! He totally deserves podiums, but that doesn't mean that Checo is a bad driver, where does people get this idea? oh, yes, from RBR, they forget Checo has a career of 14 years in F1!
And the fact that he's not in F1 anymore (at least so far) and they keep talking about him... ugh, I thought we were going to have a break from this.
I need Checo news soon or I'll go crazy fighting with anonymous people to defend pookie's honor.
notice how Checo has not said anything since he announced his departure from RB but CH and HM can't shut the fuck up about him ??? they need the engament he generates so bad
Just remember that tomorrow is December 28th, for Mexicans is like April's fool, 'Dia de los Santos Inocentes', which means some people release fake news and declarations in a joking tone. Don't fall for any news (particularly Checo news), because last year the prank was that Checo was fired from RBR and Marko was sleeping with Daniel Ricciardo. Ah, and Horner was also sleeping with Wolff (where's the joke in that though).
So I imagine that the joke now is Checo having a new team. As a Chequista/Checolover, that kind of hurts because most of us are waiting for Checo to say something, so I warn you in case you see things tomorrow. I've already seen edits of news that clearly are jokes (Marko now sleeping with Lawson in a very bad photoshopped picture). Still, some of the news sound real, so just be cautious.
And if you are Mexican, don't lend people money! You'll never get it back.
I think now is a really good time to see who was paying attention to the racism that was always happening within Red Bull Racing, and why its vitally important now more than ever to keep paying attention to how People of Color within RBR are treated compared to white drivers. What a lot of people fail to realize is that how Checo was treated directly impacts how Yuki was/is treated, and the specific way that Checo was pushed out of RB makes me very scared for Yuki and Isack in the coming seasons.
With Honda's RB contract ending after the next season and Horner saying it's time to give up Yuki after 2025, they might feel free to make his last year a living hell and wrongly blame as many problems as they can on Yuki like they did with Checo. And with Isack, if he doesn't live up to their expectations instantaneously they might chew him up and kick him to the curb like they did with Alex.
Pay attention, think critically about the agendas that european press and redbull will be pushing, loudly advocate for the protection and fair treatment that drivers of color deserve!
checo + yuki being father and son 🦦
london i know how you feel, i lost my queen too
Max was tweaking on the radio during Hungary. Liam stuck up his middle finger at Checo and has said a bunch of out of pocket stuff on the radio other times. I wish F1 journalists weren't so useless and directly asked Christian Horner why he's racist against Yuki
Guys can you really just stop trying to justify RBR's decision and make them look like a good team? They had the same problems for years and never did anything to fix them and I'm starting to suspect some of you don't do any research and base their entire views on what the media says or on your likes/dislikes of a driver. You are allowed to like who you like and dislike others but you should be able to see the reality too.
Your favourite driver is Lawson? Great have fun but please don't say he will take the fight up to Max because that just won't happen unless RBR will try to sabotage Max. Stop saying the decision made sense - it didn't, the only real reason behind it is that Liam is Helmut's pet (I don't mean it as an insult I mean it as Helmut creating his 'mini-me' with all the racism and other vices intact) and the team is fucking racist.
Yuki outperformed all his teammates and did EVERYTHING the team asked him to do (even that bloody therapy Helmut send him to because of 'anger issues' - why wasn't it ever anger issues with Max? Or Seb?), those are the facts. He has more experience and more skill, he gives better feedback and those are also facts. There is no mental gymnastics that would make 'Lawson being better option' logical - he has only half a season on his CV and ONE GOOD RACE, everything else is just picking unnecessary fights and being nasty to people who achieved much more than him.
And do you really want to pretend that the team who dangled some hope and promise of 'family' in front of Daniel just to kick him out mid season with no goodbye in a way so bad he cut all ties with them and doesn't want anything to do with the team anymore is a good team? The same team that is trying desperately to cling to Sergio's sponsors and hoping he falls for the 'we are family' bullshit after the way they treated him since April to make them more money with nothing for himself from this?
There is a reason most of the drivers don't talk about their times in RBR. Just look at how Carlos, Mark, Pierre, Alex, Daniel and now Sergio too were quick to distance themselves when the opportunity arrived and tell me the team isn't the problem.
Besides, do you feel comfortable siding with Helmut who is a proven racist and Horner who ruined a woman's life and decided to play the victim?
If the decision made any sense I wouldn't say anything but it just doesn't and if it's better for you to pretend it does instead of seeing the obvious racism then you are a part of the problem too.
this is our reminder that ultimately F1 never wants to see POC drivers succeed on their precious european sport
i see so many of you all concerned about the hate Liam is receiving, defending him because ultimately everything that happened wasn't his choice and claiming we must be aware of driver's mental health and yeah i agree, but where was this concern for Checo and his mental health all this past year when a large part of the F1 fandom and the media where bullying him and critizing him every other weekend ?!?!? when so many of you were mocking him and shaming him, hating on him for no good reason ??? ah yes i guess he wasn’t white so he deserved it right ??
go on and keep defending your white boys' mental health but i hope you remember to do the same when it comes to POC drivers
LET IT BE KNOWN FROM HERE ON OUT I AM A MAX FAN NOT A RED BULL FAN. I HATE RED BULL WITH A PASSION.
as a mexican, i’m upset about checo leaving red bull, about méxico indefinitely leaving the grid after fourteen years. we’re losing the only representation we had, but i know it’s for the best for him. i’m, however, relieved he won’t be dealing with the mistreatment of the media. gracias checo por poner a nuestro país en alto, por hacer sonar nuestro himno en lo más alto del podio, por representarnos en un deporte repleto de europeos. gracias, gracias, gracias. can’t wait to see what you’ll do next, sé que te volveremos a ver pronto. never give up. 🇲🇽 <3
Formula 1 had one of the most exciting seasons in 2024, yet the only topic people still discuss is Checo's contract with Red Bull Racing. They say they are tired of him and that they hate him, but at the end of the day, they make everything about him
i’m heartbroken actually
December 18th is not a good day for me like it's the day my granpa died 3 years ago and it's now also the day Checo left red bull
I won't deny I'm crying a litle bit after seeing Checo's video on Instagram... he's so resilient, after everything they pulled... hate RBR with all my soul. And I'm sad because he didn't deserve this, he deserved a last race, a last goodbye to the fans who have been with him in this journey. And of course, we are continuining this path with him, but the fact they knew he was out and didn't let him just get some closure...
It's for the best Checo, if we don't see you in 2025 on the grid, we are waiting for 2026, and we'll keep our love for you always.
Never Give Up

And at least now I can block RBR from my social media.
I've come to terms with myself that people just hate on Checo to be racist. Because if I knew that RBR has a habit of treating their second drivers like shit and Checo is stepping his foot down, turning the tables on them, I'd be absolutely ecstatic!
Like damn, a driver who is very smart and has enough balls to have both CH and HM by the throat. I'd be cheering him on to give RBR a taste of their own medicine. It was about time someone did.
But no. Instead, people call it "attention seeking " and "deflecting" or "buying his seat" because he's part of the "cartel." Like that alone tells me that people are extremely insensitive and pure racist.
Whether he stays in RBR or not, Checo is truly going to war, and I will be HERE for it. XD
My favorite part of the soccer match broadcast was seeing Checo with Chequito so happy! (there are a few videos of them in the fanpages).
I love seeing Checo in his father role, he's so warm and affectionate, always kissing and hugging his kids, sharing moments with them.
At least something nice for Checo before the year ends.
i love f1 because sometimes you get races where people are hardcore beefing with each other and slandering on live tv and we are blessed with actual miracles and then there's going to be one random subplot like wdym yuki tsunoda was contemplating the effects of global warming because of a beaver
Can I say something too?
Sergio being called a 'good servant for the team' is an insult (that and Helmut calling him a 'great helper') because we all know he didn't mean it as a compliment, he meant it as another dig, another way to show how little they think of him and I have no idea why anyone is saying that he should be grateful and go without a fight (David Coulthard I lost all the little respect I had for him after that words). The team wanted to destroy him and did so in a way and he should 'thank them for the years together'? Why? Would people be saying the same if someone said this shit about Max in 2028? Where are all the people who were outraged and called Daniel's treatment before he was fired atrocious?
The journalists calling him 'stubborn' and 'defiant' like it was an insult makes no sense because honestly, why should he just agree to all the things RBR did to him? He is not doing anything that any other driver wouldn't do in his situation and I don't understand why people expected anything different. Was he supposed to act like Daniel and just accept that the team used him and wanted him out with no deserved pay off? He has the right to defend himself as anyone would have in his place. Are people mad because he isn't a brainwashed machine blindly believing everything Helmut says? Is the problem only about him not agreeing with the team politics and knowing what he's worth?
Also Nico saying that 'he wants his money back' like it was something bad. It's not, he brought millions to the team in merch sales alone not to mention the sponsors and partnership with Ford HE HELPED SEAL. He gave his all to the team as he said and he has the right to demand something back. RBR isn't a poor victim here, they are the villains trying to change the narrative and paint Check as the greedy ungrateful guy who wants to leave them with nothing. And that's just a lie.
Also also, people ignoring Max who said multiple times that he likes working with Sergio and that he wants him as his teammate and that he is a great driver just to say that they hate each other and Max would be glad with someone else and all this positivity is just a PR play (at the same time praising how he always says what he thinks and doesn't hold back in the media - quite ironic, no?).
Ehhhh
Preach! FUCKING PREACH!
They expect Checo to take all the punches as if they weren't HARASSING him left and right.
Like, what? Do you really think someone who sued Pemex -THE oil and gas company for the entirety of Mexico and won - would not know how to defend himself? The man who saved a bunch of employees from getting fired?
Let's never forget how he has POWERFUL people behind him. Literally. And it all falls to CH and HM foaming at the mouth for not accomplishing their dirty work. Checo is a very smart man when it concerns his contracts.
Shit, can we even talk about how they IGNORED Checo about the car? Did they expect a box of donuts and a thank you card in return for all the hell they put him through? Checo was spat on the face with that. And they STILL demand respect? Nah. Checo doesn't owe Red Bull anything. Red Bull owes Checo for putting them on a high pedestal.
I'm super fucking glad Checo is going for war. That only HE can decide what his next move is. Clearly something that CH and HM aren't used to. And that is hilarious!
wishing them a good break and that they’re given the respect that they’re owed by their teams ❤️🩹
Omg 😭 Carlos made a cute bet that he would wear the costume if Zhou gets a point for his team, and Zhou got Sauber the incredible points, so he wore it today 😭😭😭😭
"You said that before Qatar, you know?"
"I know, I know, and I promised."
Sweet pookies 😭❤️
His suit is red to begin with, so the arms and legs blend very well 😂😂
Some reminders and affirmations:
It’s okay to feel sad because the season has ended.
It’s okay to feel sad because the grid won’t look the same next year.
It’s okay to feel sad because your favorite driver doesn’t have a seat in 2025.
It’s okay to feel sad because your favorite driver will be driving for a different team next season.
It’s okay to feel sad because things are changing. But it’s also okay to feel happy and excited.
There’s no right or wrong here. Sports are quite literally designed to play on our emotions. This is just part of being a fan.
Whatever you’re feeling right now, your feelings are valid ❤️
We did it guys
End him Nico
I'm tired so it's time for: conspiracy theories!
So in the last race of the season both Yuki and Sergio had issues with the clutch right?
Now let's look at this in my (not supported by on anything) way: Yuki, who was doing great most of the season but was always out of the talks about RBR second seat had the last chance (in this year) to impress and show his skills and what prevented that? Problem with the car he couldn't control. It seems suspicious after Helmut calling him 'not ready' to drive in RBR, because he is most certainly more ready than a rookie with attitude issues. And then there is Sergio - the speculations are still running high but let's say he had a chance this last races to show that he was getting up from the slump. And what happened? Both times he had a decent quali and then his car gave up on him, losing drive after there was something wrong with the clutch. They both had the last race to show something and both had similiar issues. It's a bit fishy after how Helmut stressed the 'we are based on performance' narrative those past two weeks.
watching the race on mute because i swear to god if i hear someone say checo's last race ONE MORE TIME i am gonna end up on international news.
Lewis Hamilton. Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2024
Red Bull literally sent Checo out there despite the acknowledgment that the car wasn't working properly.
And YET, dumb bitches who side with RB, media and worse of them all, CH, believe that Checo is the problem?!
Please do fuck off with that shit. Who the hell sends their driver out like that? What a useless team. This is why you deserved to lose the WCC.
Can we collectively agree that infantilizing drivers in real life is weird?
These are grown men. They do not need to be “saved” or “rescued”. They are fully aware of their actions. And even if you think they are making a “mistake” (emphasis on the quotation marks because I really don’t think this aspect of their personal lives is for random strangers to judge), that “mistake” is theirs to make and any potential consequences are theirs to deal with.
They are actual living, breathing people just like all of us. I know sometimes the lines might blur on social media, but I think this is especially important to remember.
