It’s a fic from Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia and it has Trollhunter Claire, and a very magic Jim. Douxie shows up earlier. Jim is not having a fun time, and his magic is being evil/wonky. Jlaire is pretty much already established and I think it has 10 or so chapters.

Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.
I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.
Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

such a good read and so pretty and literally everything I’ve wanted since the age of 8 (9?) it had the right amount of romance and conflict and j LOVED IT
watching secret of the wings after wings of starlight and seeing lord milori looking at periwinkle with such sympathy because he knows the pain, physical and emotional, of crossing the border for too long because he, too, desperately wanted to spend time with a warm fairy
BOOK HELP
There’s this book I read in elementary school and it was a middle school grade level book I believe. Anyway, it’s about an older sister and her younger brother going to visit? live? with their family member/uncle and I believe it has Egyptian mythology type themes in it, it definitely has ancient Egyptian mentions in it. Fun fact, this is how I know that Cleopatra wasn’t the only woman pharaoh because it mentions Hatshepsut in it and little 7 year old me got obsessed.
One scene I remember pretty vividly is one where they are on the train in the beginning and the little boy is rambling on but his older sister is lost in thought, which is okay since she has mastered the art of knowing when to nod and say “uh-huh,” “oh that’s not good,” “that sounds fun,” and so forth.

One of the things that hurt most about Arcane was that Vi always intended to go back to Powder. Vi could’ve kept walking but she didn’t. She just had to be away from everything to process, recuperate, and cry for a moment. After punching her sister and realizing what she had done, she needed to take a step back. Was leaving her emotionally vulnerable younger sister bad? Yes. Was it a high stress environment? Also yes. If that punk ass enforcer didn’t pull Vi away, Powder would’ve saw her, realize that she wasn’t being abandoned and wouldn’t have jumped into Silco’s arms.
I am a younger sibling myself, I also would’ve sobbed my eyes out if my sister walked away from me. However, this is something I realize later in life and not when I’m an emotionally undeveloped child. People. Need. Their. Breaks. Again, it wasn’t well thought out but Vi just experienced a traumatizing event caused by her kid sister because of her actions (not letting her come with). And i think she realized that but took it out on Powder. When I was hearing this out of context, I thought Vi was a horrible person, but I realize the context and realize that “hey, this was a shit situation.”
[For background, I’ve only seen these first 3 episodes but I’ve seen a lot of details of the show. Most of it has been out of context but—] Hot take: people saying that Jinx was a better older sibling to Isha by saying that Vi was a bad one is sucky. First of all, Vi was a kid. Second of all, and I can’t stress this enough, HIGH STRESS SITUATION. Third, VI WAS GOING TO COME BACK FOR HER IF IT WASNT FOR THAT PUNK ASS BITCH OF AN ENFORCER.
(I don’t know how popular that opinion is but I dislike it)

I’m looking for an ORV fic where KDJ gets possessed like YJH does in the near beginning where the crew all has to solve movies and the big bad made YJH attack them? It’s a one shot (I think) and YJH can’t bring himself to hurt KDJ despite getting his ass handed to him. Thank you!
the mischaracterisation of jim in rise of the titans is just about the worst thing they did with that film - and that’s saying a lot considering, well, everything is wrong with that film

Do you ever watch a show or a movie or any piece of media meant for kids and just think about how the story or character or that one scene or whatever just spoke to your heart and soul, or just how profound it made you happy or break your heart. And just sit their thinking that this is for literal children, who probably still couldn't 100% understand the gravity of what they are consuming or probably couldn't articulate how they felt about it other than say they liked it or they dont, or it made them happy or sad, and you, a grown ass person is just thinking about how this thing meant for kids is just so simple yet complex with so many layers of emotions and plot and etc. That explores themes and subject better than media meant for your age, in a way that is simple yet incredible done.
I think the movie writers were trying to make ORV more apocalyptic and entice watchers…..
They didn’t succeed but hey, at least we have good memes :D
