my main issue with tumblr messaging is i cant attach mp4s so it is just needlessly complicates trying to share memes
i need to share them!!!
Honestly, I hate the idea that interacting with your friends, asking to hang out, etc, can be perceived as bothersome. How cruel of a world must it be for affection to be considered an annoyance?
Me and the mutual I pulled by being actually I have no idea why they followed me but I'm glad they did
Post, post, post!
I've been itching to say something in public again! If you're not interested in a more nerdy, read-y and gamedevy post I'll recommend skipping ahead...
I've been working on off, on a certain something relating to a specific Roblox game... Off Roblox.... Can you even call that porting? Yeah. I would stick with the term cloning.
I dunno if anyone is even aware of the very certain game titled Rogue Lineage.,,. I've been playing a clone of it for quite a long time (I think half a year? Dang that's long) And I've been enjoying it the entire time. Additionally for a quarter of that time I've been quietly developing a clone of that clone in Godot... It's been coming along kinda nicely, I think?
And the question is as is; would any of y'all be interested in seeing any progress updates on it whenever I feel like posting any? And whenever would be hopefully more than once a millennium.
ok dasall baiii
omggggg
i wish you guys could hear the noises i'm making. what the fuck is that thang
mmhghhmng bbn if i DID draw something (highly unlikely) i originally figured i would put it on my main blog but. no. i think if i did i would shove it into the pit that is my sideblog
Calling this playable would be an overstatement, as this barely has anything in it. Although there's a lot of going on in the backed that makes the magic work.
For starters I am not using Godot's built-in networking, as it kind of really.. really bad. Absolutely zero security or validation, it's like blindly accepting and passing through data without looking at it first. Not using it gives some benefits and some downsides, but the former outweighs the latter.
I am extremely proud of how the networking framework came out to be and work, I learned a hellalot about how video game networking works and how it's supposed to be done. I have really high hopes for future progress. I also recorded this lil' demonstration video of it a sever and two clients in action...
What I'm also super proud of is the chat, ohh the chat. I have this weird communication tools-autism thing where I could work on it indefinitely just adding silly features to that chat until it was borderline perfect but i stopped myself because making the damn game work was more important than a silly chat.
Those with some Rogue knowledge might know that "Rogue doesn't have a chatbox!" To which I say "STAGA does what Rogu-don't!" (That was corny as hell) I have some cool ideas for how communicating will work in STAGA.
Now allow me to go to sleep as it's 6 am...
