Bruce Banner appreciation hours, anyone?
This made me cry for a solid 20 minutes so hard my family had to leave the room for a bit not knowing what to do.
A Concept I Would Just Die For…
Just Mantis, meeting Loki for the first time and touching him, feeling all the pain, torment and sorrow he’s been keeping inside his heart.
She would feel his disappointment and sadness for always being second, always being not as good as Thor, but she would also feel his deep love for his brother, that love that his jealousy never overshadowed.
The fact that he was deeply admiring and proud of his brother, despite living in his shadow.
She would feel how lost and lonely he is, how misunderstood he always was.
The women would be surprise by the beauty of his unconditional love for his mother and the pain of her loss. His hatred for his father, who failed to love him as a son. The desperation of growing in a lie, of not knowing, who you are or where you truly belong.
Mantis would feel his entire life and found herself crying at the pain that had grown in his soul and was slowly and forever devouring him.
The women would drown in all his feelings, all the torture and the solitude. Lullabied by the constant crying and screaming of the suffering god.
She would then let go of his hand and step back, as tears ran down her face.
There is a thousand things she would like to tell him at this moment. Questions and apologies… A million words. Maybe as an ingenuous attempt to heal him.
They would then exchange a deep look as everyone around would fail to understand what happened between them…
For a second only, he would let her see what she just felt, all the despair in his eyes.
Loki and Mantis would both fix each other for a long time before the god finally decides to look away.
Loki would raise his head putting back a proud and indifferent mask on his face, pretending nothing happened…
But no matter what… no matter how…
Mantis will never be able to unsee the crying Loki.
The one asking for answers. She would never be able to unfeel the Broken Loki…
Screaming for help…
