hi me again um i'm thinking about andrew going to aaron's wedding. thinking about what nora said about neil using two favours, one to get him there, one to make sure he didn't start anything during the ceremony. did aaron check the guestlist eight times to make sure his brother was on there. did he make sure there were places and invites specifically for andrew and by extension neil. is it the first time aaron sees andrew in person since going to med school. does he wait by the entrance, half-heartedly greeting people, scanning the blurry faces for blond hair. does nicky have to drag him away eventually and tell him to relax and aaron, he's going to come, just breathe, okay? does aaron smile and thank nicky and then go back to inspecting the crowd for his identical copy. does he catch sight of andrew and immediately look away, move to a different area, because he needed andrew to be there, but he didn't realize he couldn't actually talk to him yet? and after everything's over, after dinner and the reception and everything's wrapping up, is that when andrew finally comes over. does he find aaron, against the wall, katelyn taking her cue to leave, and do they stay silent for a moment. if they speak who talks first? does aaron say "i didn't think you would come", admitting it out loud for the first time? does andrew say "i didn't think you had it in you"? or is it as silent as so many of their conversations as brothers have been, but the angry devotion touched with resentment doesn't burn like it used to, they're older now, family doesn't hurt now. the bridge across the gap between them grows stronger with every step they take across it.

reading the sunshine court truly made me realize just how unbelievably fucking insane the foxes were as a team/family unit.

like wdym your coach is your star players father and didn’t know? wdym multiple people on your team have killed people??? how do multiple people on your team have mafia connections??

usc could hardly believe the ravens intentionally injured jean while the foxes were used to the ravens regularly using vandalism, kidnapping, torture, psychological warfare, and murder against their team

usc talks out their interpersonal team problems while the foxes blackmail eachother into joint therapy until they break a bros before hoes pact

the trojans have no-touch jerseys for practice while the foxes were getting punched, stabbed, choked, and suffering major bodily harm at the hands of another teammate at any given moment in the series

jeremy makes sure jean doesn’t meet the team all at once to not overwhelm him while andrew has a habit of quite literally breaking in the new members in columbia

the trojans tiptoed around and almost didn’t believe kevin’s hand injury while one of neil’s first conversations w the man is yelling “fuck you cripple, you’re a dead weight has been” in french in front of half the team

jeremy avoids cops while neil forces fbi agents to wait for him to finish eating, proceeds to blatantly lie to their faces, and then fucks off

usc would’ve thrown the semi finals match if jean hadn’t survived but seth fucking DIED and kevin and neil were only worried about how it’d affect the line up

jeremy gets furious when he finds out about grayson while neil fucking orders a hit out on him right in front of jean on a napkin over lunch

i was surprised by how hard the trojans were taking things until i remembered the foxes were just grade a crazy

once again thank you jeremy knox for being the only person with enough sense to go "hey! isn't it weird that everyone is calling jean a whore because he slept with grown men at..... 16???? shouldn't we question, oh idk, THE ADULTS FUCKING A MINOR?!?"

something that makes jean so tragic is his inherently good heart. he’s prickly and distrusting and he’s been through too much but that doesn’t stop him from caring or feeling concern for others even if he can’t really convey it (because he wasn’t allowed to :(((). one of my favourite moments in the book was when jean noticed pat and ananya being touchy with cody and cody not really reciprocating leading him to ask cat if they were safe. like he was worrying for the safety of somebody he hardly knew even though he was conditioned not to care. he’s also extremely accepting. doesn’t bat an eye at cody being nonbinary, respects their pronouns, doesn’t care about pat, ananya and cody being poly just that it’s consensual and there’s no way the nest would have exposed him to that with the same sort of acceptance when jean was scared to show his attraction to men.

just thinking about Andrew having a rough session with Bee and she just gets up in the middle of it and leaves and Andrew sits in silence for a moment because he lost the fucking plot he has no clue why she just decided to leave and the she just comes back into the room with Neil who had been waiting in the lobby and Neil sits down next to Andrew and he's already got earbuds in and Andrew can faintly hear one of his playlists blaring and Neil just waits for the ok and then he's curling himself around Andrew and basically falling asleep while he and Bee finish their session.
