As some of y’all know I spent like 1.5 seconds in law school (was not for me lmao) but regardless of that I still have a pretty intense interest in court cases and laws
ANYWAY
Something that clicked for me today was Riko and RICO (in reference to the RICO Act) are pronounced the same way. In case you didn’t know the RICO Act, aka the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, is the MF ANTI MAFIA LAW. Riko’s actions in aftg would have been the eventual downfall of the Moriyamas. RICO takes down organized crime. Y’all get what I’m saying?
RICO = Riko
Do y’all think this was intentional or pure coincidence? I need answers desperately
I want Jean-Yves to be doing an interview in tsc2 and say this when someone asks about the whore rumours:
I think it is odd, the way you phrase that. Sorry, perhaps it is because English is not my first language. But all of the articles I read say "Jean Moreau sleeps around to get ahead" when I would have thought the better translation would be "Multiple Ravens fuck a sixteen year old". If you'll excuse my French.
when I read aftg the first time I thought the best scenes were "thank you, you were amazing" "it's always yes with you" "i am nothing and as you've always said you want nothing"
but now I can see that the best scene is clearly when Neil asks Andrew how he can stand their relationship after everything he went through and then he tries touching his arm and Andrew says "no" and Neil stops and "that's why"
destructive
@exyandcigarettesmoke here’s some pictures of the books! let me know if you wanted to see anything else
ALL FOR THE GAME NEW BOOK SPOILERS BELOW
god i feel so stupid. i just realized:
jeremy knox = nox = night vs kevin DAY.
night and day.
just thinking about Andrew having a rough session with Bee and she just gets up in the middle of it and leaves and Andrew sits in silence for a moment because he lost the fucking plot he has no clue why she just decided to leave and the she just comes back into the room with Neil who had been waiting in the lobby and Neil sits down next to Andrew and he's already got earbuds in and Andrew can faintly hear one of his playlists blaring and Neil just waits for the ok and then he's curling himself around Andrew and basically falling asleep while he and Bee finish their session.
hi me again um i'm thinking about andrew going to aaron's wedding. thinking about what nora said about neil using two favours, one to get him there, one to make sure he didn't start anything during the ceremony. did aaron check the guestlist eight times to make sure his brother was on there. did he make sure there were places and invites specifically for andrew and by extension neil. is it the first time aaron sees andrew in person since going to med school. does he wait by the entrance, half-heartedly greeting people, scanning the blurry faces for blond hair. does nicky have to drag him away eventually and tell him to relax and aaron, he's going to come, just breathe, okay? does aaron smile and thank nicky and then go back to inspecting the crowd for his identical copy. does he catch sight of andrew and immediately look away, move to a different area, because he needed andrew to be there, but he didn't realize he couldn't actually talk to him yet? and after everything's over, after dinner and the reception and everything's wrapping up, is that when andrew finally comes over. does he find aaron, against the wall, katelyn taking her cue to leave, and do they stay silent for a moment. if they speak who talks first? does aaron say "i didn't think you would come", admitting it out loud for the first time? does andrew say "i didn't think you had it in you"? or is it as silent as so many of their conversations as brothers have been, but the angry devotion touched with resentment doesn't burn like it used to, they're older now, family doesn't hurt now. the bridge across the gap between them grows stronger with every step they take across it.
wordlessly andrew says"i'm proud of you" and aaron says "i know."
neil accidentally sits closer to andrew than he meant to. he tries to move to create some distance again, respecting his personal space, but as soon as he does, andrew subtly shifts his body over and presses their legs against each other. andrew isn’t looking at him, he keeps his bored stare on the t.v, and responds a simple “cold.”
neil didn’t leave that spot for hours.
Many people have said the book series All For The Game by Nora Sakavic is badly written. However, I believe it is not. To prove this, I made a compilation of posts that explain why the books are meticusly crafted and amazingly written.
*disclaimer: I'm not claiming the books are perfect or have no mistakes, it is impossible for any book to be that way, I'm just saying that it's not even half as bad some people claim it to be

Calling Neil "a rabid little fox who'd had a lifetime to master his lies" is such a move. Jean sees the vision. He understands that Neil is just a dangerous feral creature.
Something I've never seen pointed out in the aftg fandom is a certain aspec of the scene where Neil and Andrew are sleeping together in the cabin and Renee knocks on the door. We talk about how great it is that Neil reaches for a gun and hits Andrew's arm instead - something that will still protect him.
But can we appreciate that Andrew was asleep? Andrew who we see sleeping through a lot of different things from team meetings to bus rides, but will wake up violently when he's touched. When Renee knocks, its described as a tap of her nails. I don't see that actually waking Andrew, but Neil touching his arm in a desperate search for a gun? That would wake him up, but Andrew doesn't lash out at Neil. He just looks at him before getting out of bed.
Now, Andrew could have already been awake and Neil didn't know it or maybe a tap of nails did wake him, but I think Andrew was asleep. I think even then Andrew trusted Neil more than anyone knew. I think he kept reminding himself about Neil's presence before falling asleep (to the point he put his arm under Neil's pillow) so he wouldn't react violently when Neil inevitably shifted and touched him in his sleep. I think he used Neil's head on his arm as a grounding technique because he didn't want to risk hurting Neil when he was already so injured and he just likes being close to him. And I think this moment speaks volumes to Andrew's healing and just how much he loves his feral boyfriend.
