The witch is dressed in a tattered grey-black gradient cloak which billows around them, a grey-black gradient witch hat with gems hanging off the brim, and a white shirt and grey pants. Their arm is outstretched and a necklace-like object is resting in their hand. They have black makeup/marking smudged on their face and arm.

The second half to my illustration final! I thought an eerie forest setting was fitting of the witch I designed ^^

A full body reference of op's oc Harrowed Omens. They are a lean, olive skinned character with fluffy, dark asymmetrical hair. They have heterochromic eyes (gold on the left, dark brown on the right), and a soft smile. They're wearing a flowing v-neck grey-brown top, dark brown pants, a dark double belt, dark gloves, and light brown shoes. All their clothes are heavily embroidered with sigils. They're wearing a gold necklace, a long dangling purple crystal earring, and a loose gold belt/chain.

Sometimes you really get into a book series and you end up making an oc for it.

Anyways. Skulduggery Pleasant oc! This is Harrowed Omens (Harrow to mortals, Harry to friends). They/Them. Adept Sorcerer with a Signum Linguist discipline. Around 70-80 years old chronologically probably? Maybe a little older.

They wear ornate clothes and accessories covered in sigils, all engraved and embroidered by their own hand. Sometimes they keep extra accessories on hand in case they need other specific sigils. The left main reference is what the sigils actually look like, and the right reference has the sigils highlighted so they're easier to see.

I. do not know what all the sigils do lol. I've only decided what most of their glove sigils do.

They're the owner of a lil cafe. Its a warm, cozy place primarily visited by Ireland's magical community. There's food to eat, drinks to sip, and books to read a plenty. There's always an old record player playing music in the corner and warm lighting.

They're not fond of people who disrupt the peace of their cafe (even less so if the disruption is destructive), its a sure-fire way to end up on the "do not serve" list.

Harrowed takes studying for their discipline very seriously and enjoys it a lot, its very much a passion of theirs. They also hold a lot of respect for masters of their respective crafts (Signum Linguists, magical Embroiderers/Tailors/Seamsters).

That's. about everything I remember thinking up for them lol. Big thanks to @nicstylus for listening to me talk about Harrowed and helping with some ideas for them! ^^

A fullbody mermaid design for op's oc Thorne Crow, based on a great white shark.

Her human half is pale skinned and muscular. Her dark hair is pulled into a loose pony tail, and floats about as if she is under water. She has a sharp-toothed grin, dark eyes, and mouth piercings. She's wearing a beige wrapped top and has some arm accessories, as well as hand wraps. The sides of her chest are grey, and there are gills there.

Her tail half is colored similar to a great white shark- dark grey-brown on top and white/light on bottom. She has a belt around her hips with a knife attached to it. Both her tail and upper half have various scars.

A tumblr ask. Written are the words "Since its mermay, I have an oc related question- one about one of my favs of your creation, Thorne :3

What would Thorne be like as a mermaid? Like, what marine species would her mer-half be? (aka, her tail and other minor aquatic adaptations)"

Hope you don't mind me answering this over here rather than my fandom blog! Wanted to draw a mer!Thorne design in response ^^

To answer your question- my first thought was immediately that Thorne would be a shark mermaid! (and more specifically, a Great White Shark). Making her one of the ocean's notable hunters seemed fitting.

There's not a whole lot of species specific notes for the design itself to be made- her tail moves side to side like most non-mammal aquatic creatures, and is countershaded (not seen here but the dark coloring stretches across her back and starts fading just as it gets to her neck). I don't know if the gills should logically be on her neck instead, but I really, really love torso/chest gills. And ofc she got the teeth and a big ol dorsal fin on her back.

She still gets into a lot of fights and trouble as a mermaid, so her tail is covered in additional scars. How many of these are from humans/fellow mermaids and how many are from sea creatures? idk lol. I just know the sharp teeth definitely make her more of a menace.

But ye that's about it. Thanks a whole lot for the ask @rainbowprisimatic!! <3 It was super fun getting to draw Thorne as a mermaid lol.
