Don't you sometimes just love the feel of winter, the entire aesthetic included. In a turtleneck, snuggling in a warm blanket with a classic book and a cup of coffee or tea to keep you warm as you furiously scribble notes about characters, your thoughts and observations, and the quotes that you love the most.

Feels like winter to me.

Wait I thought it was his overly investigative nature. Which Tiresias implicitly warns him against. Like don't be soooo intent on digging out the truth..you might just be digging your own grave all this time, instead.

The term "hubris" is overused, probably because it's a fancy word and sounds super official in a conversation. It comes up every time people discuss fatal flaws--and it IS a frequent fatal flaw in literature, but it shouldn't be the default answer.

When my class studied Oedipus, a lot of people said pride was his fatal flaw, which... no. If you read the play, his most prominent flaw is his short temper. He's so quick to anger and become violent, which is probably what led to him killing his dad in the first place. His fatal flaw isn't hubris, it's poor anger management.

sennen aigis will never add big boob--

AH!

so even these guys have finally realized the change in industry

long ago normal romances were satisfying, nowadays the age of big boobs became ever since 2000s... maybe we are spoiled milf generation.

I was thinking of writing and you might already know, azur lane doujin, but i want it to have stakes. I was thinking about erotic aspects, and I found difficulty with the end goal so to speak. I had many ideas for erotic story, first I was thinking of a story of 3 different alpha protagonists of different paths fighting for the final remaining flame kind of like a holy grail type thing, battle royale of 3 harems.

I liked writing it, as I thought it would be cool to associate Logi (flame in nordic ancient language) and Loki (mischief character), I've always wanted to write Loki. He would be antihero who would stop the main villain Chad with giant harem from winning the war. I thought it'd be fun, 3 male heroes one of them your average simp emiya tier, another middle ground alpha chad and the other is pure evil chad. I thought it'd be interesting to write harem about it while also making story a bit deeper, but it wouldn't let me explore things and I hate the whole "came and conquered" shpicks erotica. However, due to piracy and growing up, a lot of light novels were killed for the bad? for the good??? in my opinion for the bad. So, the erotic business went underground, all the way to mobila gacha: now businesses of porno and simple "light erotic gacha" is doubled and halved simutaniously, because you have lots of money and yet also doujins which are not really legal from technical point. Btw, I like hazelnut, well i am bear I am ok with eating things up.

B-b-back to the point, gachas became popular offering variety of characters, but Azur Lane really pushed big bazonkas, but not exactly first game, other developers and erotic novels pushed it, especially Fate that introduced Passionlip in old psp game of Fate/Extra. It was so unbelievable how shameless they were and larped like nothing was different. But whether or not their intention for that character design were pure, I will not argue with you. Ever since then, big bood media has been showing slowly in erotic industry, and by that we got Last Origin, a gacha novel that really embraced the concept of large chest. The story however, and trust me I don't recommend anyone ever laying eyes upon it, is really boring. I was not inspiring and sad, so azur lane was my greatest pick that allowed me some freedom to write. I picked it and yes, I will!

Azur Lane quickly caught up to that, so I don't complain about big busts in their game, however that said big breasts aren't quite popular because the artist who drew this is quite famous for big breasts but in reality they're not popular that much in videogames. I cannot think of person with big breasts like these living healtily, yet alone someone who has big breats by social standards, which is in reality any visible breasts according to normie horny men.

But I am not one of them. I do WANT big boobs, they have to be big and the shape and the gravity all that are aspects of aesthetic in art that dont have anything to do with sexual gratification although clothed pushed breasts sadistically are awesome In my humble...

Anyway, as I've been watching at different gacha characters I stick with azur lane for my doujin, that said i like sennou aigis and of course flower knight girls or any other stories, as long as I can write characters in meaningful way that isn't extremely too boring. Unfortuinately, fantasy was never my apertuar and I hate Lord of the RINGS REALLY LOT. stay tuned if I ever think of it because i always dreamed of harem story where guy takes everyone but.... from plot it is... boring! sooo boring.. even if you add male rivalry... hell it makes me feel the only way to rescue plot is by making male rivarly. But that is gonna be a soap drama of low quality, not some cool fantasy story people would like to read about. Still, I have to say Final fantasy Lost stories also intrigue me, the idea of fantasy isekai that does not fucking suck is something I won't believe probably ever.

That said I kind of regret spending so many years on isekai smut that sucks fucking ASS, man...

I really like this russian edition of classic books. Letting famous artists do the covers in YA style was such a simple but clever decision. According to the recent study the number of teenage readers increased, possibly thanks to these covers. I own traditional classics with blank covers but if I ever see one of these in the wild, itโ€™ll probably make me go feral.

Here are some of my favs:

Starting a new thing (if it isnโ€™t already)

Distracted academia aesthetic

Get good grades but canโ€™t read a chapter of a book without mindlessly scrolling through dark academic lit posts or pictures of other books in between pages

Likes the IDEA of studying, cannot for the life of them make it through a chapter of that textbook without thinking about moving to England after getting into Cambridge or Oxford

Makes it through the classics in the pursuit of knowledge but took multiple years because of the allure of the ya fiction fantasy section at Barnes and noble

Writes handwritten letters for loved ones with little pressed flowers in them, but has the absolute messiest handwriting

Style fluctuates from dark academia style to only sweats for a week to whatever was on the floor when they woke up that day

Has read the classics a couple times and follows the text post fandom accounts, but couldnโ€™t hold an in-person conversation about them because reasons

Loves to read but literally hasnโ€™t picked up or finished a book in ages just because of the sheer number of things they are currently procrastinating at the moment

Either has 30 million things in there mind or has about -2, there is no in between

Is trying their best and deserves a hug :)

Imagine

Imagine

you have a complete day to yourself.

It would be spent in a giant elegant library on a bench or couch in a secluded area where no one ventures.

Quiet classical music, ambient noice from the calm chaos of the atmosphere. A fire place near by so you can hear the crackling.

Maybe you spend it with one person who will not complain when you ignore their sentient presence and wrap myself around them in a way that you can run my fingers through their hair while you read a stack of books that completely keep my attention from start to finish.

There would be tea. Hot, steamy and perfectly made, chai milk tea, jasmine or green tea with mint. Or rose tea because it smells like hugs. Or maybe coffee or a mug of hot chocolate with a stick of peppermint poking out.

Of course the person with you, whose only purpose is to be quiet and cuddle you, would be the one getting you the mug because you couldnโ€™t be bothered with getting up while youโ€™re reading

Current reading routine to prevent burnout

Current Reading Routine To Prevent Burnout

I have this terrible habit of becoming very motivated to read but I quickly become overwhelmed with choice and indecisiveness, or I get bored with the book I'm currently reading but don't want to start a second book in the middle of the first. This cycle tends to bring me down, it just brings me frustration and makes me disappointed in myself; wishing I could read like I used to as a kid.

After years of failed attempts to bring back my reading spark I finally developed the following structure.

At any point in time I will have a rotation of four book I'm reading at once (I know it sounds like a lot but stay with me). Each book will be part of the following categories:

Fiction

Self-help/spiritual

Classic

Non-fiction

This list helps me reach all my reading goals. I get to enjoy my fantasy books, while also broadening my horizons with classics, non-fiction, and self-help. I find that when I set myself to reading just one book at a time the non-fiction and self-help books will get neglected, but if I read only one of those at a time i'll experience fomo for some dramatic fantasy. This eliminates that issue for me. If I start to become bored or feel fomo I can just switch to a different category to fill that void.

My current reading cycle is:

Red Queen

Atomic Habits

Pride and Prejudice

League of Lady Poisoners

I know this isn't revolutionary but this small change completely altered how I enjoy reading as an adult. I hope it can help someone as much as it helped me :)

Audiobooks are great, but if you are not a native English speaker you will probably understand even less when you listen to it (at least thatโ€™s my experience). So if you have trouble understanding an old English book, get a student edition. At school you probably read classics in your language and at least in germany we have student editions where outdated obscure German words and grammar are explained at the bottom and those exist in English too. ( I think there is something like โ€žShakespeare no fearโ€œ etc.) Or get a student version in your native language for students studying English, where the text itself is the original, but the annotations are in your language. I know a lot of people are ashamed of buying student versions because they think their English should be good enough, or they wonโ€™t have the โ€žreal experienceโ€œ or something like thatโ€ฆ thatโ€™s bullshit. You are not a native English speaker, and you are most certainly not an (insert time period of work youโ€™re trying to read) native English speaker so naturally you will have trouble understanding some words, or even the whole text. And if you just read through it without understanding a thing, it will be boring, exhausting and you will gain nothing at all. Let me tell you there are classical German (my native language!) authors I would not dare to touch without an annotated version, because they write in a crazily complicated style in outdated terms. So buy that damn student version and enjoy your classic!

Not to be a pretentious asshole but yes there is a problem with people no longer reading the classics. A lot of the YA literature romance novel crowd perpetuates the myth that the classics are inherently boring and stuffy and thereโ€™s nothing you can relate to or learn by reading them. And theyโ€™re not. These beautiful universal things we enjoy, comedy, romance, tragedy, family strife, theyโ€™re still so poignant centuries after theyโ€™re written.
