Date idea:
We read Donna Tartt's "The Secret History" together and kiss everytime Richard has a gay thought.
I'm still thinking about I Saw the TV Glow and I'm sure I'll still be thinking about it for a long time.
In a world that constantly tells trans people what if you'll regret transitioning?, it's refreshing and incredibly important to have art that tells us what if you'll regret NOT transitioning?. And even more importantly, it tells us there is still time.
It's a haunting masterpiece.
if you abandon gender hard enough you can unlock the secret state of nirvana where all clothes give you the thrill of crossdressing
the way that in the pink opaque, tara and isabel only met in the first episode and then only communicated through their psychic link throughout the rest of the series and didn't see each other in person and how owen watched their first episode of the pink opaque with maddy but then after that was only able to watch it through the tapes maddy left them in the dark room, not even giving them to owen in person
i saw the tv glow is the most tender and horrifying spoken word poem abt the trans experience ive ever seen and im being so normal abt it

The Crane Wife by CJ Hauser
I'm at the pediatrician office watching two 3-year olds attempt to break the language barrier.
My brain constantly:
So my ☝️ list 📝 grew ↗️, 9: buy 💲 new 🧼cement 🪦, 8: taKE CARE 🫄 OF THIS DUCK 🦆I FOUND-, 7: clean🧼 out the pipes 🪈for the bathroom🚽 and the kitchen🍳, 6: rebuild the walls🏚️, 5: keep out the pests! 🐀4: Kill the black mold🦠😞... 3: rewire📻 the ceiling, 2: CHANGE THE LIGHT BULB!💡 And 1: forget about youuuouuouououuuuu🚫🫵
Maybe I don’t have anxiety. Maybe I’m so scared all the time on account of it all being so scary.
My favorite thing about Eugene Drawtectives is that he's this incredibly glam psychic who dresses exclusively in robes and capes that show off his chest, and he's got perfect eye makeup 24/7, and he's just all-around wildly attractive and giving off insane gender envy
But he's also a no-thoughts-head-empty awkward sweetheart who the cast immediately adopts as their son instead of thirsting for him and even after he gets his memories back he's still a sweet himboish mess
