Warning: None.
Aether
When his eyes lands on your sleeping figure he can’t help but smile at the sight. At least you didn’t wait for him like usual or else he would’ve scolded you for staying up so late. His eyes trailed towards the plushie you’re holding in between your arms and chest and couldn’t help but pout. How dare the plush take his spot in your arm? That’s his spot!
Making his way to his respective side of the bed, he slowly tries to remove the plush from your arms. What he didn’t expect is you whining in your sleep and tightened your hold around the plush, making it impossible for Aether to remove it. Letting out a frustrated sound, all he wanted is to be in your arms after a tiring day, he didn’t expect to be replaced by a plush.
“What does the plush have that I don’t?”
Albedo
Letting out a yawn as he check the time on the wall clock near the door, it was almost midnight. You should be asleep by now. Making his way to your shared room, he was met with the sight of you cuddling with your plush. Blinking twice before letting out a small smile. What an adorable sight to behold. If only he had his kamera with him, too bad he accidentally left it on his desk.
After changing into his nightwear clothes, he scooted over to the space behind you. Laying down and wrapping his arm around you, pulling you to his chest while placing a kiss on top of your head. Contentedly seeking refuge at the back of your neck, not at all minding you cuddling with your plush.
“Sweet dreams, my beloved.”
Ayaka
Sighing in relief as she finally finished all of her tasks today, stretching out her arms as she makes her way towards her room to have a deserved rest. Sliding open the door, her eyes widened at the sight of her s/o on her bed, cuddling with one of Ayaka’s plush. The familiarity of the plush in her lover’s arms brought memories of how they won it for her in one of the festivals they went to.
Surprised as she may be at the sudden appearance of her s/o, it wasn’t an unpleasant one. Quickly changing her clothes to a more comfortable ones, she sat down at the edge while weaving her hands through their hair. Feeling someone’s hands in your hair, you slowly opened your eyes to see the smiling face of the Shirasagi Himegimi. Letting go of the plush so that she can sneak herself into your arms, making herself comfortable immediately in your arms.
“I didn’t expect you to visit me. You must’ve been waiting for me for quite a while now huh? Goodnight, my beloved.”
Eula
Steps as light as a feather, heels lightly clicking under the wooden floor of the house as she makes her way to the bedroom while removing the accessories adorning her outfit. Her head was aching after dealing yet again the hateful comments and glares of the townspeople. Wanting to be in her lover’s arms already, she fastened her pace and quietly opened the door. Her gaze landing on her s/o’s figure on the bed while cradling the plush in their arms.
Sighing amusingly, her lips quirking up, she did her nightly routine before going in bed with them. Staring at the plush for a couple of seconds before trying to take it away from your hold, the only thing that’s allowed in your arms is her and her only! She clicked her tongue when she noticed you tightening your hold around the plush. She can’t believe she’s been beaten by a plush! A plush! The nerve of this plush to her take her place!
“Vengeance will be mine. Just you wait, you little midget.”
Childe
First reaction when his eyes landed on you holding your plush in between your arms was to take a picture with his kamera, and so he did. Taking a few pictures before gushing at how adorable you look. This is just what he needed after coming back from a stressful mission from the Fatui. A moment for him to unwind after all that fiasco.
After changing his outfit to a more comfortable ones, he climbed into bed with you. Laying on his side to face you, who was still holding the plush in your arms, and laid his arm around you. Not at all minding the plush that was separating him from you, leaning forward to press a kiss on your forehead. He might also press a kiss on the plush if he feels like it (i just think he will treat the plush like his kid-).
“Sweet dreams to you both. Don’t let the monsters bite.”
Gorou
All he wanted to do is to fall flat on his bed, with you by his side, and snooze the night away. Tension was always high in the resistance group, no one dares to let their guard down as any time the vision hunt decree could strike. Rubbing his eye with his palm as he enters his tent, which he shares with you. Smiling at the sight of your sleeping figure peacefully laying on the mattress. His eyes shifted to the plush your holding and couldn’t help but let out a growl.
Making his way towards you, he swift takes away your plush from your hold, not giving you any time to object. Which effectively woke you up, the sudden action making you stir awake to meet the annoyed gaze of your lover as his tail shifts behind him. Blinking at him in confusion, your eyes trailed to the plush he carelessly threw on the floor and let out a laugh. Huffing at your amusement in his action, he crawled into your arms and you welcomed him.
“You’re only allowed to cuddle with me, okay? Not that impostor.”
Hu Tao
Lets out a chuckle when her gaze meets the sight of her precious cradling the ghost plush she gave you awhile back. She had decided to visit you for a nightly cuddle, but she didn’t expect to see this sight before her. Humming a familiar tune under her breath, she makes her way to you with a dangerous glint in her eyes.
Taking off her hat and setting it down on a table by the side carefully, she stretches her fingers as she gets near to your sleeping figure. In one swift motion, she takes the plush from your hold and replaced the loss cuddling partner with her. Wrapping her arms around you as she giggles when you tightened your hold around her, she smiled contentedly. Turning to the side and sticking a tongue out to the plush, she giggles quietly.
“Boo~ sorry, I won this round~”
Kazuha
Smiling at the sight of you peacefully sleeping on the bed in your shared room in the Crux Fleet, his gaze shifted to the plush in your arms. Seeing the plush brought back memories of him and you in Inazuma, the short time you two spent together on the land of Eternity was something he deeply cherished. The plush was one of your memento of your time with him in that land.
Laying on the opposite side while putting an arm around you, he pulled you close and pressed feather-like kisses on the back of your neck. Smiling contentedly when he hears you humming and calling his name sleepily. He lets you roll to face him, leaving the plush and putting your arms around him instead. Accepting your embrace immediately as he press a kiss on your forehead.
“I guess that plush is a good use whenever I’m not around. Though I would prefer if you would just go and get me instead.”
Scaramouche
Glares at the plush with such hatred when he noticed you holding the said-plush. The plush had the audacity to look at him with an innocent look on his face while being cradled by you. If only he could punish him just like how he punished the other Fatui members, alas you forbid it stating that the plush means so much to you.
Clicking his tongue as he made his way towards you with heavy thuds, he promptly grabs the plush from your hold, ignoring how you whine at the loss of your cuddling partner. Staring at the beady eyes of it as he made a threatening statement before tossing it away behind him on the floor. He laid down on his side, ignoring how you woke up and wrapped his arms around you. Already closing his eyes and not paying attention to your protests.
“Tsk, quiet you fool. Don’t you want a good night’s rest? Ignore that plush, you have me. Now sleep.”
Thoma
Cooing at you being adorable again, he can’t help but skip towards you and press kisses on your face. Smiling when you stirred in your sleep but didn’t wake, and finally pressed one final kiss before doing his nightly routine. He doesn’t mind that your cuddling with a plush, after all, he gave you that plush for that purpose! Though he does admit that the way your holding the plush makes him a bit jealous…
Finishing up his last routine, he takes his place in front of you and wrapped his arms around you. The plush in between your chests as he press a kiss on your lips and on the plush’s forehead. A cute gesture before promptly removing it and placing it down on the bedside table. The purpose of it is to cuddle with you if he’s not around, but since he’s around, it’s rendered useless for now.
“Lovely dreams, my (queen/king). May your dreams be filled with happiness.”

Definitely pets your dog as a way to calm down when stressed.
If you bring your dog most places with you, then they’ll probably stick by ayaka cause they know they’ll get pet a lot.
Overall she’s kinda nervous about your dog at first but warms up to them in time.
— hu tao —
Spoils your dog so much it’s just… wow. Honestly astonishing.
Probably suggested dressing your dog up as a coffin, as a marketing tactic.
literally doesn’t care that your dog is huge, she’ll let them into her office, which… isn’t huge…
Probably asks if she can take the dog to work with her, literally again to dress them up as a coffin.
— Ei —
In a modern Au Ei unironically calls herself a dog mom.

It’s been years since then.
You were just innocent children, waddling around and giggling at the simplest of things. You could remember your mother calling for you, telling you to be careful before you mindlessly stumbled towards the streets of Liyue Harbor. The world outside of the Harbor was enticing, so you walked for hours, only stopping until you reached the dark corners of Wuwang hill.
You could remember the girl you found in the woods, curled up against a tree, holding a bleeding knee. The girl with brunette hair and eyes that glimmered like rubies, hyperventilating as she chuckled to mask the tears welling up in her eyes. As time passed, she stopped laughing. Her voice wavered as the darkness of the forest consumed her whole, her cries for help only bearing witness to the trees.
However, that was before you found her. As soon as you caught sight of another person on the hill, you ran towards them. When you saw that the person was hurt, you burst into tears and fell to their feet. You hadn’t seen blood before, and you additionally had the tendency to cry when other people cried.
You grabbed the girl’s hand, trying to babble out an “Are you okay?” to her. The girl in front of you wiped her own tears and looked at you with concern and confusion. She crawled forward to pat your head, her tiny fingers fluffing your hair around.
“H-Hey, don’t cry…” She mumbled, trying to be comforting. She wiped off her knee and raised it up to your face, wincing. “Look! I’m all okay now, see?”
You frantically shook your head, and started taking off one of your socks to stop the bleeding. You clumsily tied it around her leg, which still had blood running from the wound. It was a tiny scrape, but to a toddler, it practically looked like her leg had been chopped off. You sat down beside her and leaned against a tree.
A few minutes passed, and you had fully calmed down. You sniffled and wiped your eyes every now and then, but you were no longer crying, which the mystery girl considered a win. Your new acquaintance wrapped an arm around your shoulders, and started rubbing your back in a comforting manner. After a few minutes, you finally spoke up.
“Sorry…” you sighed. The brunette next to you perked up at your apology, energetically scrambling to reassure you.
“Huh? Don’t apologize, I’m all better now thanks to you!” She grinned at you, shifting to sit in criss cross position, the blood from her cut mixing with dirt as she did so. She started rocking from side to side, her hair swinging in sync with her movements. “Lighten up! What’s your name?”
You raised your head, a small smile spreading over your lips. “(Y/n). What’s yours?” Your eyes followed her form as she clapped in excitement. She was sent into a fit of quiet giggles as she continued to sway. You wondered why she was so happy, you only asked what her name was. “I’m Hu Tao, Its nice to meet you!”
After a while, you started laughing with her, despite your confusion. Being with another person felt… nice. You had been sheltered by your mother every since you had been born. Staying inside Liyue Harbor’s walls didn’t giving you much time to adjust to the world, especially since you were just a toddler. That was part of why you cried when you saw Hu Tao’s scrape, and that was why you were here in the first place.
As night started falling, mist spread throughout every nook of Wuwang Hill. The shadows cast from the trees melted into the night sky, the darkness forcing you to cling to your new friends. You and Hu Tao started walking, trying to find your way out of the forest by using seelies and butterflies. It was dawn by the time you had gotten home, and everyone had been worried sick about you.
So, you bid Hu Tao farewell, and promised to meet her in the forest another day.
It was around 7PM when Hu Tao finally returned to the funeral parlor. But something felt… different. Tonight, she didn’t feel the weight of death on her shoulders.
No, tonight, she felt happy.
——————————————————————————-
It’s been twelve years since you first met Hu Tao.
Your friendship with the Overseer brought good to your life, and continues to make you happy every day. She’s been there through everything, not just to watch- but also to support you in everything that you do. This was something that no one was willing to do for you before.
She knew nearly everything about you- your favorite food, you favorite books, all of the standard stuff that a close friend would know. However, Hu Tao also knew about your past, and some of the deepest feelings that managed to work their way into your stomach. Sometimes, you would show up at her door in tears, asking for advice, and she would happily comply.
Almost too happily.
Hu Tao would get butterflies in her stomach whenever your gaze met hers, no matter the circumstance. Her hands would sweat, and to say that she would become flustered is an understatement. She would always become red faced if you ever got too close to her- and you, in your ignorance, would think she was sick or something.
She was happy that you relied on her, and she thought that the joy bubbling in her stomach every time you were mentioned was just the feeling of having a real friend. But, after a while, she realized that these weren’t just platonic feelings.
She realized that she was in love with you.
And dear god, she never expected love to hurt so much. All she wanted to do was take you into her arms and kiss you like there was no tomorrow, but she couldn’t risk losing what she had with you. Not now, not ever. So, she vowed that she would never come clean about her feelings unless you asked about them. She wouldn’t stand in your way.
It was only until she heard that you were going on a long mission that she regretted her promise. She didn’t want you to leave, she didn’t know what she would do with herself. You were the very reason she could move forward every day. After all, no one like the poor girl. Not Zhongli, not her own family, not anyone.
Every day you were gone, she waited at her door for you. The hollow feeling in her chest returned, and everyone who knew her had a feeling that something was wrong. Her eyes were dull, and the constant tapping of her foot was a clear sign that she was anxious. No one asked about her though, in fear of becoming her newest obsession.
Hu Tao buried herself in work after three days of your absence. After being yelled at by client and getting ignored by Zhongli, she tried not to cry. But, understandably, she broke halfway through the week. She truly did miss you, she thought as tears streamed down her face in the dead of night.
When you finally returned, you returned with a familiar face.
One she hadn’t seen in very, very long time
His raven hair decorated with glowing turquoise could be recognized by anyone who knew his name. His mask was practically a symbol of justice to the Archons, and his presence had once pestered Hu Tao long before you had left.
Adeptus Xiao.
He was always so cold, so unforgiving. It seemed that she always managed to tick him off just by being around, just like she did to everyone else. Occasionally, he would smirk at her antics, but other than that, he was something akin to a boulder. She didn’t want him to take away her best friend, or even worse- make you boring too.
Her joy was dampened when you said that he would be staying with you for a few days, but most of all, she was confused. A burning feeling settled in her chest as she watched you smile at him like he was the Sun and Stars themselves. Why did he need a place to stay? The Wangshu Inn was quite suitable for travelers and gods alike, so what was the problem?
Unfortunately, Hu Tao’s questions were answered when she caught you doing something that she never thought you would. The Overseer was going about her day as usual, tending to customers and preparing coffins. She was going to find you to ask you about something, when she witnessed you pressing a kiss to the Yaksha’s lips through a crack in the door.
Xiao wrapped a hand around your waist and pulled you in even closer, tilting his head to deepen the affection he was giving. Your palms glided up his neck, finding their way into his hair. You stayed like that for a moment, bodies pressing against each other, warmth emanating from your moving lips. A dark blush coated your lover’s cheeks when you broke away for air.
The image of you might have been hazy, but she knew what was going on now, and she knew what this was leading up to. A pang of jealousy and sadness shot through her stomach, infecting her system until it had reached her heart.
You didn’t want her. You never would.
A few small gasps left Hu Tao’s lips as she turned on her heel and ran away from the scene. The floorboards creaked as she did so, alerting both you and Xiao that someone was there. Both of your heads snapped towards the partially open door. That was the last thing you heard from her for days.
All you got was a mere glimpse of her uniform from behind the door, floating like a butterfly caught in a strong breeze.
It almost felt as if she was drifting away, bit by bit.
——————————————————————————-
Hu Tao returned to you almost a week later.
After she saw you and Xiao, panic set into her soul before she could realize it. She closed the Funeral Parlor until she returned, leaving you in a nervous state of confusion. The only thing you could wonder was, where was she? Was she alright? Why would she ever do this? Not once had she closed the parlor, so why now?
The truth was, your friend was now lost because of you. She though that she had a chance with you, but she had come to realize that that was far from the case. For three days, she had been aimlessly wandering around the dark corners of Wuwang hill, trying to gather her thoughts. But of course, she had no luck. The young Overseer needed advice on how to cope, so she ran to the wisest person she could think of.
Zhongli.
Hu Tao found the Ex-Archon to be irritably smart, making him a good, yet annoying source of help. He had expressed his hatred towards her, claiming that she acted like a child. His attitude always stung a little, but she couldn’t afford to hold grudges right now.
The streets of Liyue were filled with a mix of tourists and locals, the bustling crowds forcing Hu Tao to get through using force. She pushed her way through the ocean of people, the tears that lingered on her cheeks smudging from bumping into the bodies of others.
When she finally reached Zhongli’s door, it was almost sunset. She rapped on his door, and waited for a response. A sharp click echoed from the other side of the door as it swung open, revealing Zhongli, who was looking just as professional as always. He quirked a brow at her appearance and gestured for her to come inside.
He could tell that she had been crying, her puffy eyes and red nose giving him all of the minor details he needed. However, something else was off about her. The light from her eyes was gone- that really told him everything. There was no requirement for questions, he just needed to offer any form of comfort, since her previous source was the very thing that had her caused to seem so… dejected. Zhongli walked over to a kettle situated in his kitchen, and blew out the fire warming the water inside of it.
“It’s something to do with (Y/n), right?” Zhongli asked, pity lining his tone. The woman in front of him nodded sadly as tears welled up in her eyes. He sighed and patted her on the back. ‘You truly did have full control over this poor soul, didn’t you?’ He thought as he poured the boiling water into a cup. The problem was, you didn’t know of the power you held, which could possibly lead to the Overseer’s downfall. “Please, come sit down. Would you like some tea?”
“No, that’s okay.” Hu Tao replied, voice so quiet Zhongli could hardly hear it. “Thank you for the offer, though.”
The Archon sat across from her, holding a steaming cup of tea, his amber eyes boring into his guest’s soul. A shiver ran up Hu Tao’s spine as she soaked up his intense gaze, the despair she harbored just minutes ago morphing into pure nerves. She chuckled nervously and wiped her eyes.
“(Y/n) is in love with Xiao, and… I’m more than certain that he loves them in return.” Zhongli choked on his tea at her words, eyes as wide as saucers. He hurriedly set his teacup down and gently patted himself on the chest to regain his bearings. The infamous Yaksha… was in love? Was that even possible?
Confusion and disbelief were glazed over Zhongli’s features as he coughed into his fist. “I… I see.” He answered, “I suppose miracles do happen, even if they are in the, uh- strangest of circumstances.”
“Zhongli, you don’t understand, I love (Y/n). I love them too- I’ve loved them for longer than Xiao has.” Hu Tao cried, more tears accumulating under her irises. Tiny sobs left her throat as she ranted. “I hate having to watch the person I love the most get taken by some else, It’s not fair!”
An agitated sigh vibrated through the Archon’s chest at her words. How young and naive she was. A part of Zhongli understood how she felt, and another resented her for crying over something that he had been through millions of times. But, in reality, he had a secret soft spot for the young Heiress.
“Love isn’t fair. It never was.” And in the end, that side always managed to win him over, “The best thing you can do for yourself is move on.” because no one should have to go through what he did. He was alone when he lost his friends, and this child shouldn’t have to live through that too, even if she was a bother sometimes.
The girl’s breath hitched. Move on? How could she ever move on when you had captured her heart and marked it as your own? Anger started rising up Hu Tao’s neck as he spoke. She opened her mouth, ready to retaliate- but she was cut off by another statement shook her to the core.
“(Y/n)’s feelings won’t change, you know.”
He was right.
She knew he was.
No matter how much she wanted you to love her, you were incapable of doing so.
But why couldn’t you?
“But it isn’t fair to make them worry about you by running away. Go back to the Funeral Parlor, and patch things up.”
Heavy silence filled the air. The atmosphere was intense as the crushing realization hit Hu Tao- the realization that she had been selfish by running. She had caused you more trouble than she had meant to. A few minutes passed like this- the Geo Archon watching as a lovesick girl silently have an entire existential crisis inside the walls of her own mind.
Abruptly, she stood up.
The life had returned to her face again, and a determined look shone in her eyes. She was ready to come home. She couldn’t hold you down anymore. She would go back to you and apologize, because promised she would never, ever hurt you. Hu Tao ran out of Zhongli’s apartment, yelling to him about how grateful she was for his help.
It was nightfall when she had arrived at your house, exactly four days after she had left. She placed her hands on her knees and she panted into the cold, damp air. Soon enough, she felt gentle arms looping around her body. It was you.
A smile bloomed on her face as she hugged you back. “I’m sorry.” She whispered as you cried into her shoulder. Butterflies bloomed in her stomach when you did so, a faint blush coating her ears and cheeks. You bombarded her with questions of concern when you led her inside, Hu Tao joyfully answering each one of them. But as soon as she saw Xiao emerge from your room, she felt sick.
The butterflies that had been fluttering in her stomach were now dead.
——————————————————————————-
Today was your wedding day.
Today was the day that Xiao would promise his soul to to you for eternity.
Nerves and love were mixing in your stomach as you got ready. Your hands were sweating, and it felt as though electricity was spreading throughout your chest. You had envisioned yourself walking down the isle many times before, but you’d never expected it to actually happen. Especially not with someone as amazing as Xiao.
The wedding was being held at the Wangshu Inn, the very place where you and Xiao had met. It wasn’t a big reception, neither of you were up for that- but a few close friends had been invited to come and celebrate with you. It was only a few minutes before you had to come out, and the last checks of your outfit were being done.
Hu Tao stood behind you, trying to style your hair. You looked so beautiful in your wedding attire- hell, you were practically glowing. A constant ache had settled in Hu Tao’s stomach, and ever so often she would start to feel nauseous because of it. It hurt, knowing that you would never be hers. It hurt, seeing you look at someone else with such love. But she swore, years ago, that she wouldn’t get involved.
She knew you were happy, and that’s all that mattered to her.
She entangled her fingers in your hair and closed her eyes. A giggle rose from her throat to try and mask the fear that coursed through her body. It was just like you were kids again- it was just like the day you met. Hu Tao wondered if you remembered that day. She wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t, it had been two decades since then.
She should have told you. She should have taken the chance to tell you she loved you, instead of digging her own grave. Images of what could have been flashed before her eyes, and the hollow feeling in her chest had returned.
Her hands shook slightly, alerting you of the expression on her face. She grinned as big, glistening tears rolled down her cheeks. Small hiccups emerged from her lips, chest heaving with despair. She felt as if she was grieving for no reason, and she hated that she was burdening you with her issues on the most important day of your life.
You looked up at her, guilt clouding your eyes. Gently, you stood up and pulled her into your arms.
“Hey, hey… what’s wrong?” You whispered.
“N-Nothing, really, I’m just happy for you!” Choked laughs were scattered throughout her words as she nuzzled her face into your neck. “My best friend is getting married, of course I would cry.”
It was meant to seem like a lighthearted comment- a mere joke for you to laugh at, but there was a melancholic undertone to her voice, unlike the usual bubbly one she had. You quirked your head at her voice and placed a hand on her shoulder. You stared at your friend, the hues of your eyes being reflected in the hers.
“Nothing will change Hu Tao, I promise. You’ll always be my best friend.”
A friend. That’s all she was to you.
Hu Tao nodded and pulled away from you, wiping her eyes one last time. She brushed herself off before patting you on the back and ushering you to the door. The sounds of clapping could be heard as Verr Goldet finished up her speech. “Well, it’s time.” She sighed, “Now go out there, and give them a wedding they’ll never forget!”
The exchange that happened between her and Zhongli replayed in her head.
Time seemed to slow down as you gave her a final ‘thank you’, before walking down the aisle and leaving her side forever. Flowers clouded Hu Tao’s vision when she went around the seating arrangements to take her place up front as your Maid of Honor.
One last time, she looked at you, eyes filled with the disgusting feeling of love she had felt for so long. Taking a deep breath, she realized that Zhongli was right. She needed to move on. But she couldn’t, no matter how many times she tried.
Even as you both grew old together, the memory of the day she met you still lingers in her mind, reminding her that you gave your life away to someone that wasn’t her.
hi besties!!! i’m brainrotting about my genshin crushes rn so. yeah i’m doing my fav genshin characters for this one! characters here are zhongli, yoimiya, hu tao, & albedo 💓
ZHONGLI
zhongli’s ideal s/o would be quite different from him. i could really see him with someone loud and charismatic, opposed to his quieter behavior.
i don’t think zhongli would want to date anyone from liyue. i feel like they see liyue’s people as their descendants and that would just be weird lmao so it’s a 90 day fiancé moment
zhongli would need someone open-minded. if they’re gonna freak out when they inevitably find out that he’s rex lapis, then he probably won’t even bother. it’s just unnecessary drama that they don’t want to deal with. the point of becoming zhongli was to distance themself from rex lapis anyway.
that being said, zhongli still cares a lot about liyue and its history, so he would really appreciate someone who shares that passion. please ask him to tell you stories about liyue!! it makes them very happy
zhongli would want someone who isn’t jealous or possessive. if you find out about his past relationship with guizhong and you’re insensitive about it, that’ll just break his heart. they love you now, you’d have no reason to be jealous over someone who’s been dead for millennia.
YOIMIYA
yoimiya would definitely want somebody just as outgoing and energetic as her. it’s not that she has anything against introverted people, it’s just that they wouldn’t be able to keep up with her lifestyle.
she cares a lot about what her dad thinks, so he has to approve of you! i’m sure he would though lol, he’s probably gonna be happy with anyone who makes his daughter happy
yoimiya values someone who will listen to her; not just hear what she says, but truly listen and engage with her. she’s spent a lot of her life being ignored or tuned out and it’s really disheartening for her. she would adore a significant other who loves to hear her talk about whatever’s on her mind.
i feel like yoimiya would be compatible with an artist. being an artist (of fireworks) herself, she would love to be close to someone else as passionate about creating as she is. doesn’t matter if you’re good or bad, as long as you let her see whatever you’re working on, she’s happy!
yoimiya’s love languages are definitely physical touch and words of affection. the latter is pretty obvious considering how much she loves to talk. as for physical touch, she seems like the kind of person to always want to hold her s/o in some way. yoimiya will constantly want to cuddle or at least hold your hand, so if you’re not into that, she’s gonna be kinda upset.
HU TAO
all hu tao wants is someone who likes her. that’s it. she constantly suffers through everyone thinking she’s mean, annoying, and unfunny. she strikes me as the kind of person to cling to whoever shows her a fraction of love.
unfortunately, that would probably lead her to making some bad decisions in past relationships. she needs someone who will love her for her and be there when she can’t keep up her façade anymore. hu tao needs someone who understands her, who doesn’t see her as unworthy or broken.
sad stuff out of the way, of course she’d love someone with a sense of humor! life’s boring when you don’t know how to laugh. that would definitely be the first thing hu tao notices in her s/o.
but she would also appreciate it if her s/o knew how to quell her sometimes-inappropriate attitude. all hu tao wants is to fit in with the rest of the world, so if you can gently show her how to do that without changing who she is, she’ll love you forever
speaking of forever, hu tao would love an immortal s/o. she deals in death, but the last thing she wants to think about is the deaths of her loved ones. if she were to date a god or an adeptus, she wouldn’t have to worry about that. but immortals are hard to come by, so she’s happy with her s/o just being safe and evading death for as long as possible. i can’t see her with an adventurer s/o because it’s just too dangerous and it would worry her so much.
ALBEDO
albedo doesn’t care to look for an s/o and if he ever develops feelings for someone, he’d want them to pursue the relationship first. albedo’s not great with expressing himself, so he would love someone who could do that instead and be patient with him.
i can really see albedo falling for someone from outside mondstadt or khaenri’ah. he values learning about the world around him, and having an s/o from somewhere he’s never been would be beneficial to him. not that he sees you as a commodity though, he just thinks that’s a fun added bonus to who you are.
like zhongli, albedo wants someone open-minded. he has a pretty weird past and is literally made of chalk, so do with that what you will lmao
albedo would want you to get along with klee. she means a lot to him, and it would really warm his heart if you took care of and loved klee the way he does. not liking klee would be a total red flag to him.
Arranged marriage au, yoimiya x gn! reader, no chance to confess, childhood to young adult love,
a/n thank you @ghostly-march for making me hurt yoimiya <3

Childhood. An innocent time for many.
Back in Yoimiya’s childhood, before she started making fireworks, her childhood was just like any other child’s. Despite the Vision Hunt Degree, she was like any other child. She catched Onikabuto and had participated in Beetle fighting, often beating Arataki Itto. She played Temari with you, her childhood best friend. She would go to the summer festival and help her dad out with the fireworks, then reunite with you, Itto and the others to try out the dango and all the other snacks during the festival.
Even back then, Yoimiya liked you a bit more than the others.
She would always approach you to play with each other, and often the two of you spotted with each other, arms slinged around each other’s shoulders, flying kites in the bright blue sky.
Before she knew it, she had breezed past her childhood days.
You, who were born in a minor noble family, still had to accept the wishes of your father, who deemed that it was time for you to attend noble lessons. The young you, who longed for carefree days with your best friend, would often sneak out with Yoimiya in the middle of the night, and the two of you would play with tiny sparklers, hushed conversations and laughter ringing through the night sky.
It was inevitable though, that your father would find out.
With increased supervision, it was hard for you to sneak out, and before long, the two of you lost contact.
The third time that you didn’t appear at your agreed meeting spot, she found her heart clenching at the thought of not being able to see you for a very long time. Her father was understandably worried when she lost her spark for a few days, right when she was in the middle of her studies of making fireworks.
A few days after that, she got her Vision in the middle of the night while tinkering with her fireworks, and she used it to start fires in the workshop for convenience. It was not until her father told her what a Vision was then she understood what it stood for.
Ever since then, Yoimiya had devoted herself to the art of fireworks, but as she looked at the fireworks she had created for the first time for the Naganohara festival, she wondered if you would be able to see it.
Her mind still could not forget you after all this time.
She wanted to show you a firework that you’ll never forget. Even if it only lasted for an instance, she had hoped that she would have a chance to show you a sight that you’ll imprint into your mind for eternity. That was her dream since her youthful days, and she never forget it. Then, she’ll confess to you at that moment, when she summoned her own courage.
Until she had to forget it.
“Have you heard? The Kamisato Clan’s Princess Ayaka is set for an arranged marriage with the (L/N)’s Clan Major (F/N)!”
“Really? That’s really sudden… I wonder what the Kamisato Clan and the L/N clan are thinking…”
If not for her quick reflexes, Yoimiya might have dropped her box of fireworks onto the floor.
No way…
Yoimiya rushes off to the many spots in the wild where she made so many memories with you and the other kids, now young adults.
By chance, her favourite spot, where you, Itto and Yoimiya had once promised to be friends forever, was occupied by a certain Oni.
“Hey. What’s up? Up for another round of beetle fighting?”
“Not today, Itto.”
“Is it about Y/n getting hitched with that Kamisato Ayaka? *Sigh* Really, who was y/n to you?”
With a heartbroken smile, Yoimiya replied, her smile curved sadly.
“Y/n was my deep, forbidden love. The most magnificent dream of my adolescence.”
Before the firework could bloom, it was already doomed to never bloom in the night sky.
That was cemented in her mind the moment she saw you with Ayaka, with a serene and calm smile on your face.
Who was she to interfere with your affairs, much less your family's?

— ayaka —
For whatever reason you have scars ayaka wants to hear it, if you’re willing to share of course. If it’s because of past fights, she wants to hear all your stories!
Specifically will kiss the scars on your arms, shoulders, and hands. Anywhere else and she’ll get super nervous.
Thinks you look intimidating, but super attractive with scars. She knows their bad, and that they definitely hurt… I mean they’re scars. But thinks they’re attractive.
— hu tao —
Probably is like “did you almost die from this one?” And points at a random scar. This happens everyday, even if she’s asked about all your scars.
Definitely knows where all your scars are, just cause she likes examining them. Thinks they look pretty.
Speaking of her thinking they look pretty, she will tell you that everyday. You could be cuddling and she’ll find a random scar on your chest and be like, “I like your scars. They look really pretty. Make you look prettier than you already are.” And then she’ll fall asleep. While you’re like •V• “ok.”
— Ei —
Like hu tao she knows where all your scars are
Will specifically kiss the scars in your tummy, back, and thighs. It’s her way of trying to fluster you.
I think she has a few scars herself, and is kinda self conscious about them, she thinks it’s dumb cause you look so beautiful with scars, and I mean… they’re just scars.
Definitely comes behind you to back hug you, and kisses any scars on your shoulder, moving your hair out of the way if your hair covers them.

trying to prove something to my friends
DON'T YOU-
-ME, ANON
- Eula doesn't seem like the type to be the more gentle one in a relationship, especially if her S/O is shyer than others.
- ...Well, she still isn't, but man does she try.
- When they first met, Eula assumes S/O is terrified of her because she's a descendant of the Lawrence clan.
(Eula) "...You're staring."
(S/O) "...A-Am I? Sorry I didn't-"
(Eula) "Oh, I understand. Truly. After all, the Lawrence clan is still out for vengeance. It makes sense that you don't think you're safe around me."
- In reality, S/O was half-terrified, half in awe of how pretty of a woman Eula was. S/O wasn't sure what to say since said pretty woman was carrying a greatsword bigger than them. If anything, that was the part that terrified them the most.
- Eula just brushes them off, walking away since she was used to this treatment.
- Then came the next day where S/O specifically sought them out.
(Eula) sigh "Let me guess, my mere presence is something you can't sta-"
(S/O) "N-No! I'd like to apologize to you for yesterday!"
(Eula) "Er...What?"
- Eula then finally noticed S/O's body language. It was obvious they weren't great at talking to others. Thankfully it didn't seem as bad as Sucrose's inability to speak to others, but still.
- This apology didn't seem mocking or they were scared of her "wrath". It was genuine.
- And that was what drew her towards them.
- Eula and S/O spend a lot of time away from the public eye, which suits both of them just fine.
- S/O appears to come out of their shell around her, and only her from what she's seen.
- Although it confuses her how S/O doesn't seem to care about her reputation since they aren't a knight and are subject to all the nasty gossip about her, she couldn't be any happier (on the inside).
- Eula is a bit awkward around S/O however. She doesn't usually try to reserve her manner of speech in front of others due to her past experiences, but with S/O she has to reserve her usual "vengeance" speak.
- S/O is a far more gentle person, especially if it's only the two of them in a room, so she doesn't want to hurt them with what she says, even though she doesn't mean it.
- Eula defaults to trying to deflect any type of compliment or insult off whenever people speak to her, so whenever S/O says something nice about her, she has to remain silent for a few moments before saying thank you in a hushed manner.
- It's still a bit awkward for them despite the fact they're used to it.
- Most of their time together is spent in a comfortable silence, just enjoying each other's company without anyone to judge them.
