my twenty-first birthday will be on the twenty-first of december. that is eighteen days of me waiting, and eighteen days of me wishing i had someone to share it with. not to say that i will be alone, but there’s only one smile i wish to stare at on that day, and one pair of arms to wrap around me. but she’ll be on another time zone and i’ll sit here and eat my cake without her.
