Awwww! I really liked your Willard/Wallace little comic, so cute! I love the fluff of two dumbasses! But…I’m also a sadistic bastard…and Mrs. Tweedy was incredibly abusive which probably would have left a few scars so…I have to ask. How do you think they’d deal?

Personally I think the whole dealing with that thing would happen gradually. As we’ve been shown Wallace is really(really) oblivious, so I don’t think he’ll really notice the reason why Willard is so nervous when he’s helping with the inventions and does something wrong. Wallace’s reactions(as a clumsy guy himself) are really calm and Willard takes time to get used to it, but is more than happy with the change at the end. A talk about Willard’s situation with his ex-wife could happen at some point maybe, but I think it would mostly be time and being treated decently the determining factor to leave the bad experiences behind.

anyways i hc that Wallace doesn't need to use any fancy words to cheer his boyfriend up when he's having one of his low moments. Sweet actions like physical comfort, or distracting Willard with nice things etc. already do wonders to the extremely affection-starved farmer <3 (and using words has never been Wallace's strength anyway LOLLLLL he was literally just going "well...uh..." when Wendolene told him to leave her) Still, he feels kinda helpless and dumb sometimes, because he really REALLY wants to help Willard feel better and come to peace with his past demons, but doesn't know how
