β ur local aroace π§‘ππ€π©΅π
Thank you to everyone who game me suggestions! I will make a second post in honour of Ace Awareness Week, and I won't add photos because those take up too much space lol. I'll also try to organize by category, if I can.
Demisexual representation by Lou, a half-MΓ©tis Indigenous Canadian teen.
AroAce representation by Alastor Altruist, a Louisiana Creole Overlord demon.
AroAce representation by Isaac Henderson, a British teen.
Asexual representation by Thalia Grace, an American Hunter of Artemis Lieutenant.
AroAce representation by Reyna Avila RamΓrez-Arellano, a Puerto Rican Hunter of Artemis and past Praetor of the Twelfth Legion.
Asexual representation by Kaz Brekker, leader of The Crows.
Asexual representation by Lu (right) and Fassen, (left) a pilot and ex-soldier, respectively.
Asexual representation by Sherlock Holmes, a British detective.
Asexual representation by Ca$h, an Australian teen who is gay.
That's all I have for now, let me know if there's more characters I should add!
Galahad, the Grail Heroine, and Bors: They generally have no apparent trouble or qualms with the eternal chastity thing (except Bors when he gets cursed, but he gets cursed).
Brangaine: In La Tavola Ritonda, she tells Gouvernail that she never wants to have sexual relationships, and in a text I haven't yet read or been able to identify, she apparently stops Kahedin from sleeping with her by using a magic pillow to make him fall asleep, a role which is Camille's in Kaherdin and Camille.
Dinadan: In LTR, they call him the Wise Man Who Does Not Love, and while he has a romantic interest in LTR, their relationship isn't sexual. To the best of my knowledge, he has no other romantic interest and no sexual relationship in all of medlit and pretty much always scorns both concepts. Usually aro, demiromantic in one text, and always ace.
Lucan: It's not anything he says or does, but unless you count the actions of Lucano the evil half-giant half-lion in LTR, he doesn't have any romantic and/or sexual relationships in any medlit I know of. Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but in my mind, he's on the aro and ace spectrums.
Happy Ace Week to all who celebrate!
Edit: I had somehow left out Dinadan, who I originally meant to include a picture of. I guess you could say he's implicit. Truly one of the aroace icons of all time. He ran so Jughead could also run.
This is a friendly reminder that consent is important. It doesn't matter what your sexual/romantic orientation is. It doesn't matter what kind of the physical touch it is (anything from a handshake to a hug to a kiss to sex, etc.). It doesn't matter if you have said "yes" before and say "no" now. You always have the right to say "no." You should never compromise your boundaries because they are valid.
Additionally, it is important to respect the boundaries of others. Even if their boundaries are completely different from yours, they are still valid and should be respected.

ACE WEEK is from 22nd to 28th October this year!! That's around the corner btw.
Back in the old Twitter days, I used to summon acespec creators to join me in a thread of their own acespec OCs with the goal of meeting more ace creators, their OCs, their projects and making friends! I thought it would be a great idea to bring the event to Tumblr this time... WITH NEW RULES!
I want to see artwork of them, especially if it's made by you, and please add some cool info about them, it can be any silly detail, but I encourage you to talk about their asexuality and experiences, and it would be super interesting to know if your own asexuality affected the creation of the character. Tell us about their story, if they have any, and if they belong to a project you are working on. This will take place during the whole week, so no rush. I'll be reblogging pretty much everything with my side martaslavendergarden
RULES:
ABSOLUTE RESPECT. The asexual spectrum is full of different experiences, all valid. If I catch you trying to invalidate any creator or character, be sure I'll go John Wick. Also, I'm fucking tired of the invasion ace meme because I'm very punk and absolutely dislike any imperialist shit, so please, let's keep this event free of white supremacist shit. Thank you.
USE THE TAGS. Use the tags #acespecoc and #aceweek2023 so your post can be found!
LIKE AND REBLOG! This event's main goal is to find other acespec creators and not just make friends but also to create a cool community, so I encourage you to spread out your likes, cast reblogs and write some beautiful comments in the tags when reblogging.
Some questions you may have:
The identity of my OC is complex or tagless. SOUNDS COOL TO ME. Is their experience somewhere in the asexual spectrum? You can join the party and I encourage you to talk about it! I'm sure they'll be a super interesting character.
Marta, I have 500 acespec OCs. SAME. You can join all of the characters in one single post or make several of them and post them during the week, organise it yourself, no problemo.
Marta! I'm not an artist! But I have these cute picrews of my ace ocs. Can I participate in the event? ABSOLUTELY! Also, you can share the picrew you used just in case someone loves it and wants to make their OCs too.
Marta, I have this comic/book/whatever featuring my acespec OC. Can I unapologetically use this event to promote it? GO FOR IT.
Oh, Marta, I'm not acespec but I have this ace OC... Can I join the party anyway? THE MORE THE MERRIER! And I'm sure you'll learn a lot from other artists and their acespec OCs.
Marta, I have this ace headcannon of this particular character. Can I join the event? Not today, this event is only for YOUR ORIGINAL CHARACTERS created by yourself.
MARTA, I have this acespec OC I made in a videogame through character creation or whatever. Absolutely valid to me. Please provide a screenshot of your cutie and all their background story if you can.
I made this AI/NFTSHIT stuff. FUCK OFF.
Feel free to DM me if you have any doubts. Also, spread the word, I want to see many acespec OCs on Ace Week on this site!
happy ace awareness week to all! be aware of him. Daud is a trained assassin and Aphobes Die By His Blade
[Start ID. A digital drawing of Daud from Dishonored, in a lightened palette that only includes the four colors of the asexual flag. Everything upwards of his belt is visible, and he is standing with his arms held straight beside him. The non-scarred half of his face is blank, as a manner of stylization. He holds his usual stern look. End ID]
Happy Halloween & Asexual Awareness Week!
Hereβs Gwenpool cat prepping for spooky season.
Here are some bonus alternate versions I made with different shading and some recolored with the colors of the asexual flag, using the color gradient tool on Procreate.
I'm Ace! Who else is?

Happy ace week (didnβt realize itβs the last day lol)
In honour of Asexual Awareness Week, reblog and tag with asexual characters!
Happy ace week everyone!!π«Ά
Thanks for the shoutout, and you know what? I feel it's specifically targeted at people like me, whose story goes similar to mine, so here is my story:
Age <14; you think you are hetero
Age 14-15; you think you might be Bi because your best friend (same gender) is so smart/ so beautiful/ so cute/ all of it, and you just go fjeksojfbwoa every time you see them, so you label yourself bisexual
Age 15-16; actually scratch the bisexuality, you don't really care about the gender anyway, you just want somebody to love you, anyone, so you do some research and discover that hey! Pansexuals don't care about the gender of people they love, so you must be Pan, right? That's logical conclusion
Age 16-17; okay, so this is the time, when people start talking more openly about sex, right? So, you realize you aren't a child any more, they talk about theirs first time or even get pregnant, and you just sit there like π because WAIT! People your age really are doing it? They talk about things they felt before and after... And you just sit there because... Okay, you read (or even write) some smutty fanfics/novels, you know what sex is and everything, you even joke about it, so they have to be lying, that's impossible, you never felt like that, something has to be wrong, so you do some more research, and you find it... Asexuality, you are happy because that means you aren't a freak, a robot or a not-human creature to be killed (things I was called by some random dudes after I told them I don't feel sexual attraction) and you have a new label for yourself, you think you are panromantic asexual
Age 17-21; you are comfortable with your sexuality and romantic attraction, you find the best fitting description for yourself, you are happy with it, so you put it on the shelf and forget about it because now you know who you are, you have some problems with your gender, but that's another topic because you are almost 22Β years old and... Welp, you never dated anyone, you rarely have crushes, and you don't look for love, not like some people do, no, you just... Don't feel it? "Again?" you ask yourself, It's... Welp, you know about aromantic people, you read too much about it, to not recognize it in yourself... But... You still want love... It's difficult enough when you are asexual, and... How? How are you going to find love now? So, you just... Don't label yourself because it's easier
Age 22; After some anxiety time you calm down and accept, that after 7-8 years of mislabelling yourself you are somewhere on aro/ace spectrum, and that history really like to repeating itself because for so many years you (again) thought no romantic feelings = panromantic...
I really would like this to be a joke, but almost 4 years of thinking that no sexual attraction = bi-/pansexuality AND THEN almost 8 years of thinking no romantic attraction = bi-/panromantic... Like how blind I am? How many times I will step on the same fucking rake and bonk by head with the handle?!
in honor of ace week id like to shoutout every asexual who first thought they were bi/pan because they looked at all the genders and felt no difference and zero is equal to zero so they said "huh. must be bisexual" and then shoved their sexuality back under the rug for 3-5 years
happy ace week!!
And to all aphobes out there: she will find you and you won't like that
anyways ace people rock thanks for coming to my ted talk peace out homies
HAPPY ACE WEEK!
Have some bracelets I made I guess

This is for a very niche demographic and from an even niche-r part of my life so-
To any casino cup watchers, I hold ace cuphead near and dear to my heart. In other words, you can pry this headcanon from my cold dead hands.
Happy ace week!
