So I heard it was aelinweek over at @rowaelinscourt and while I'm still technically not done reading ToG (currently on ToD), I still wanted to draw Aelin for the day 3 promt ❤️

well yes sjm does write certain questionable phrases and loves the word "mate" but her books have a plot??? her characters have depth and character growth???

The portrayal of Rhys and Feyre after UTM, the way they slowly climbed out of hell TOGETHER (i am very glad i met you feyre// their first Starfall).

Aelin after she escaped Maeve (did you buy the swagger the arrogance/// you fight, until you can't ). AELIN AND ROWAN you make me want to live. When Manon asked Dorian to marry her so he won't go to Morath and Dorian saying no

colleen hoover has what? bland dialogue and simplistic plot lines. It Ends With Us, the characters lack so much depth. The plot was simplistic, there is no real attraction between Lily or Ryle or Atlas. November 9th, the MMC's redemption arc was just.. his mother died, therfore arson is justified. Look at the attraction, the chemistry, between Rhys and Feyre. Look at Nesta's redemption arc-- it's so good and it isn't even sjm's best work.

Sarah J Maas is so much more than the few phrases booktok labels as her entire style. It is the way she portrays her characters that makes us love her so much.

putting colleen hoover and sarah j maas in the same category is blasphemy and should be a reflection of your reading habits not mine smh

honestly sjm. at this point i have read ALL of the books you've ever published atleast 3 times each (well besides Tower of Dawn cuz that one lowkey sucked ahaha), with ACOMAF winning at 10 reads, ACOWAR and KOA coming second at 5.

I have a very very very very important question:

Do y'all haters read acotar just for the sake of critisizing it? Cuz it pisses me off (cuz YES i do get defensive cuz i love them but i get ur freedom of expression stuff) but i get it cuz being judgemental is fun. i like it and I started this post as being sarcastic but now i find it funny. One thing, totally fine with critisizing characters, but its a direct insult to actual humans beings if you call them *dumb*, who, by the way, read sjm bc they like sjm and actually feel happy reading sjm and is certainly smarter than people who read sjm for the sake of hating sjm cuz why waste your time if you don't even like it? It's like wearing the color pink to tell people you hate pink like why do you even bother? also, riceman and feyrugs actually really creative, but my acotar loving side is screaming but all is well.

would love some responses, feel free to hate (since you probably hate for the sake of hating, no judgement even if you call be dumb cuz i am since im failing math) will respond when im bored and will try not to get defensive (but i will)
