March 13, 1974 - May Pang,John Lennon, Harry Nilsson and Mick Jagger attend the Gala dinner for the American Film Institute tribute to James Cagney, Century Plaza Hotel, LA.

On January 16 1980, Paul McCartney and the Wings arrived In Tokyo for upcoming 11-dates Wings tour in Japan. Customs Officials found 219 grams (7.7 ounces) of cannabis in Paul’s luggage and arrested him.

Paul was sent to the local jail and spent 9 days there while the Japanese government decided on what to do with him. He was facing a possible seven-year sentence for smuggling if convicted.

"When the fellow pulled it out of the suitcase, he looked more embarrassed than me. I think he just wanted to put it back in and forget the whole thing, you know, but there it was. I didn’t try to hide it. I had just come from America and still had the American attitude that marijuana isn’t that bad. I didn’t realize just how strict the Japanese attitude is. I made a confession on the night I was arrested and apologized for breaking Japanese law, but they still wanted to know everything. I had to go through my whole life story—school, father’s name, income, even my medal from the Queen." Paul McCartney

While in jail, Paul was known as inmate #22 and impressed the guards with his politeness. He passed the time with exercising, talking to other prisoners and overall, Paul said he was treated well. On the sixth day, Linda was allowed to visit, giving him clothes and new books.

"It’s really very silly. People certainly are different over here. They take it so very seriously. Paul is now in some kind of detention place and I have not been allowed to see him. As soon as they get someone nice like Paul, they seem to make a field day of it! I’ll never come back to Japan again. It’s my first trip and my last!" Linda McCartney

On the eighth day, the Japanese government decided to immediately deport Paul without charges. On January 25th, Paul was released from the jail, placed in a car and was driven straight to the airport when Linda, his children and fellow Wings members were waiting for him and flew back to England.

George Harrison was the only Beatle to send a telegram to the McCartneys during the nine days:

Thinking of you with all love. Keep your spirits high. Nice to have you back home again soon. God bless. Love, George and Olivia.

According to a housekeeper of the Lennon's, John's supposed reaction was, "If he really needs weed, surely there's enough people who can carry it for him. You're a Beatle, boy, a Beatle. Your face is in every damn corner of the planet. How could you have been so stupid."

Years later, Paul has acknowledged the foolish of his decision and the challenges he faced during that period. Paul did return to Japan in 1990 for a tour without incident.

(Some of these might not be so good, some may be a little out of character, I apologize for that. I hope you still like at least some of these though.)

Okay, so, there is this REALLY old drawing that I’ve kept for SO LONG

Basically, when I was younger, I liked making date spaces for fictional characters, like, make up stories in my mind, with the background I made, y’know?

So…..

This, is where they hang out. For their dates.

They usually just relax, talk, sing, dance, sometimes play games.

It’s the only place where Jack feels safe, and no harm ever comes to him.

The grass is soft, and the lights are beautiful!

The Headcanons You Asked For!

Spam, Kayla, and Zill are the ones who are normally singing, dancing, and playing games.

Jack, Jill, and Vanexa will sing with them every now and again, sometimes Vanexa will pull out an instrument and play.

Spam is always complimenting everyone on how beautiful they all look

He always leaves himself out, that’s why they all have to remind him that he’s just as beautiful

Spam writes songs about how much he adores his partners, and sings them when the moment is right

Vanexa really likes reading, and has been thinking about making some of her own stories. And her partners are supporting her! They’re her biggest fans on her books

Spam and Kayla are THE BEST at giving kisses and hugs, and are ALWAYS READY to show their partners some love and affection when they need it!

None of them are afraid to be honest with each other. If one of them needs space, the others will respect their boundaries. They know that they all still love each other.

Sometimes, when they are in their date spot, they end up falling asleep there.

They normally fall asleep close together, cuddling. Cuddle pile.

Jack sleeps in the middle of all of them. So nothing bad could get to him. It makes Jack feel comforted, safe, secure, etc.

Jack feels so lucky to have them all as his partners.

They’re all pretty competitive with flirting sometimes.

All of them had been in love with each other for a very long time, but, none of them had the guts to say anything.

With Zill and Kayla already dating, Jack and Jill having a thing, and y’know, Spam & Vanexa

It started with Zill feeling guilty about being in love with Jack, while also being in love with Kayla. He talked to her about it, and it made Kayla feel SO RELIEVED

“Aw, sweetie! You’re not alone! The truth is, I’m in love with Vanexa, but I’m still in love with you too!”

Zill and Kayla were so happy to finally get that off their chests

They both had to think about how they were gonna tell the others.

Vanexa had secretly been crushing on Kayla, Spam, Jill, and Jack

She felt, really sappy that day, and had written a song about them.

When she was singing, Jill happened to be near by.

Jill was flattered. She interrupted Vanexa. With Jill teasing Vanexa “Aww, you love us, that’s so lame! ❤️”

And Vanexa responding with “You’re lame. ❤️”

They spent the rest of that day bitterly flirting.

Jack and Spam, I feel, were for sure, already SUPER in love with everyone.

So when they all came together, they all kinda talked over each other about their feelings for one another. They all understood, and decided to just be in a relationship with each other.

If one of them is upset, the others are going to beat up whatever/whoever caused their partner to be sad!

When Rusty taunts Jack, you better believe they’re all going to beat Rusty’s ass senseless-

Like, “Hey! I don’t like how you’re treating my amazing boyfriend(s)/girlfriend(s). F**king apologize.”

And Autumn is CONSTANTLY trying to get Rusty to leave them alone. Before some bad things get out of hand, Autumn is always quick to apologize. “I’m so sorry, excuse my boyfriend, he can be SO ANNOYING a lot of the times.”

Spam still surprise lick-kisses his partners. They’re not really annoyed with it. Sometimes, at the perfect moment. They’ll surprise kiss Spam sometimes.

They have book clubs, I think that would be awesome!

Sometimes, they’ll watch musicals, name a musical, they’ve probably seen it! (Reason for this one is because I thought Jack would like Dear Evan Hansen, it just felt right, idk-)

Jill teaches her partners more self-defense, and will throw hypothetical situations at them, and it’s really fun for them. They’re all really strong, and Jill offers them a place in The Royal Guard from time to time.

Sometimes, Zill will still speak Spanish. And teach his partners some, when they need help understanding him.

And, of course, Kayla will teach her partners some Australian slang. So they understand her more when she tells her stories.

Ever since they started dating, Vanexa has been talking more often, it’s almost scary.

But they do enjoy listening to her voice when she speaks, even when it’s something so simple.

Spam, Jack, Jill, Zill, and Kayla, are the only people that can make Vanexa laugh.

Sometimes, Jack will still think about the worst. With him being Immortal, he’s so scared of all his partners, just dying the next day. It could happen any moment now. All his partners are there to comfort him, and always assure him that, it’ll take a long time before they leave him, and even then, he’ll still have them, in his heart.

Sometimes, Jack will think about finding a way, to make himself mortal, or, make his partners immortal. He’s got a lot going on in his head, it’ll take a while for him to accept things the way they are, but in the end, he’ll be okay, and so will his partners.

A lot of people assume that they’re just friends, and get REALLY confused when all of a sudden they all start pet-naming each other, give out kisses, and flirt.

Their relationship is like, a group of friends that have sleepovers all the time, going out, and being romantic with one another.

Sometimes, they’ll go on fancy dates, wear more fancy formal attire.

Sometimes they’ll go to couples dance parties, to show how crazy they are. Sometimes they’ll get kicked out of some places, but it’s always fun.

They’re in love!!!!!!

I gotta ask, what can they do? and do they ever waltz over to the moon seeing as they think it's god or?

They weave dreams and nightmares by like creating this thread that they each control and that latches onto people. They can individually control a persons sleep too but that requires a lot more effort and they don’t have time to do that every night so they’ve kind of mastered a sort of mass production of it though it is more overwhelming like this. They can also give each other sleep and dreams! (Mostly this is used by Reverie on Mara per her request). They can fly, mostly dissipate into stardust, make basic things out of their stardust. Probably a lot more too (gods) but they’re like mentally blocking the rest and think they’re angels. So.

As for if they if go to the moon, yes! (It’s like the big thing in the plot actually lol) In a moment of desperation they do in fact fly up to the moon, thinking surely she’ll answer their prayers then. Obviously, the moon doesn’t and their faith (especially Reverie’s) is really shaken after that.

in the art book it's mentioned that they considered having morrigan and isabela as dai-style advisors, and you know what that means. ultimate-sacrificed or succumbed-to-the-calling hof-romanced morrigan and left-in-the-fade hawke-romanced isabela middle-aged widow yuri. is what that means.

Solar System: Things to Know This Week

The solar system is vast, and exploring it requires not one expedition, but many. From the sun to the Earth to the depths of space beyond Pluto, an entire fleet of spacecraft is pushing back the frontiers of knowledge. Scientists and engineers around the world work together on dozens of missions, and the results of their work unfold on a daily basis. During any given week, astronauts and robotic spacecraft return thousands of pictures and other data from Earth orbit and from half a dozen other worlds.

The result? It’s nothing short of a visual and intellectual feast. For example, all of the following images were obtained over the course of one week during January this year.

The same missions that took these pictures are still at work – they may be photographing Saturn or transmitting a report from Mars as you read this.

1. The Sun

From its clear vantage point in Earth orbit, our Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) observes our nearby star almost continuously. This image shows activity on the sun’s surface on Jan. 18. You can also get similar pictures from SDO daily!

2. The Earth from Afar

The DSCOVR satellite orbits the Earth at a distance of nearly a million miles (1.5 million kilometers). It’s Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC) keeps a steady watch on the home planet. This is how the world turned on Jan. 20. Get the latest daily images from EPIC HERE.

3. Mars from Above

The team that manages the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) recently celebrated a decade of observing the Red Planet. MRO took this detailed look at dunes and rocky buttes in Danielson Crater on Jan. 24. It was 3:06 p.m., local Mars time. On the right stide of the image, dust devils have left tracks in the sand.

4. Comet 67/P

The European Space Agency’s Rosetta probe caught this look at the surface of Comet 67/P from a distance of just 46 miles (75 kilometers) on Jan. 23.

5. Saturn

On the same day (Jan. 23), our Cassini spacecraft continued its odyssey of nearly two decades in space, bringing us this look at the sixth planet. See the latest images from Cassini HERE.
