them: why are you so quiet? what's on your mind? me: dónal finn flipping off césar domboy in the set of sas: rogue heroes
alright me & my friend mel (@ anxiouslowercase, that cutie) finished season 2 and. i have thoughts. if anyone (moots or just fandom overall!) would like to share their thoughts with me, i'd love to hear them! preferably spoiler free if you do it in the comment section because i don't want anyone getting spoiled!!
when melanie la barrie held dónal's hand and chuckled and squeezed his arm and told him, with a shaky voice, "dónal finn - my boy." it was all over for me.
i’m not even watching the show but i’m thrilled to know the d.arkling is dead already lmao rip bozo !!!
the problem with jason from gotham knights is the hair, you guys. if you focus on his face (& especially on his eyes LOOK AT HIS SOFT, SAD EYES!) he is still a precious baby boy! 🥺
i’m sorry who allowed dc to give me proper jason todd feels????? when i was in such a low expectation phase??????
my favorite ships are between the d.arkling and the people he abuses/hurts <3
any of the people he has abused/hurt.
so it’s a bunch of ‘em.
s.hadow & b.one teaser: *drops* me: already knowing people will stan the shit out of the goddamn, problematic as fuck villain, especially considering he’s being played by b.en barne.s:
do you ever have those moments when you suddenly remember one of the fandoms you belong to massively ships one of the most problematic couples you have ever seen?
and i’m not saying problematic in terms of, one of them is a complete jackass who disrespects and diminuishes the other (which is very wrong, anyways, of course, and can count as abuse!), i am saying the girl is literally stalked by a sociopath who abuses her emotionally and psychologically.
i could gag honestly.
*slides DC 10 bucks* do a total reboot and bring us back pre new 52.
me, seeing the batman 100 preview on my dashboard: me: ... me: are we back to pre new 52 days
gotham knights developer, explaining the game’s characters: tim drake is a prodigious talent; a natural detective; and he has a knack for messing with the enemy’s head
me:
i’ll personally fight whoever came up with these lines for bruce.
what the actual fuck.
listen, bruce wayne is hardly the perfect parent. but if you think he would:
a) call jason an “insolent bonehead” b) say he thinks jason needs an occasional kick in the ass c) beat him up brutally, the way he did
you’re wrong. bruce has many flaws. he is emotionally constipated, he is stupidly obstinate, he has a very hard time letting go of control, amongst many other things. he’s made plenty of mistakes. but he isn’t... whatever this is.
he loved, no, he loves jason. he carries immense guilt over what happened to him and his death resonates with him to this day. it’s a traumatic event he has a hard time letting go of.
this panel feels off, it doesn’t feel like bruce. how he expresses himself, his attitude towards jason, even how he views him. bruce may disagree, frown upon and get angry at jason’s views or actions but he wouldn’t think or express that jason “needs a kick in the ass”, especially so lightly, so superficially. he knows jason very well - he knows his harsh background, knows his difficult story, knows his potential. he’s no “bonehead”. that’s his son. that’s his son who died. they try to cover it up with that last “sweet” comment but it feels off considering his previous words.
it feels as if dc likes writing for shock value or to try and keep things edgy. and the writing and characterization of the characters suffers because of that.
concept: no robin is the best robin; each robin has their own unique set of skills, strengths and flaws, and they all shine in their own way.
