Why didn’t anybody warn me about the ao3 author curse?
I posted a fic some days ago and right after that I accidentally cut my hand. Then, I finished writing another fic and I almost glued my hands together while trying to make some things with epoxy resin. Today I wanted to post a fic and the ao3 site literally wouldn’t open😭
I’ve started baking recently and I’m scared that the next time I post a fic I will burn down my whole kitchen
Question for AO3 users in general:
I'm writing something set in the US with drunk shenanigans involved. All of the characters are currently of legal drinking age by the US regulation.
In said something I have a character who is not from the US, but from a country whose legal drinking age is 18, I want to mention this because it means said character has been drinking for longer than their current social circle, has better tolerance, has more expirence with drunkess and stories with It, etc.
However, since I'm writing this in English and setting It in a place in which the legal drinking age is 21, should I tag 'Mentioned Underaged Drinking'? Because it's an important warning in any fanfic, and even more important in one with drunk shenanigans.
I could also add a note at the start or the description explaining what do I mean by the tag or, if I don't add the tag, explain why I added that little bit of semi-cannon (headcannon?) info in a note or the tags in some way.
I'm not from the US, and open to feedback what should I do?

If I leave a comment and not a kudos, it was an accident. I get so excited to leave a comment that I forget to kudos. It has happened a few times, and it will almost certainly happen again.
Has anyone had any positive experiences cross posting on fanfiction.net?
I’m considering it but I haven’t used the platform much so I’m a little unfamiliar with the user culture there…from what I’ve seen the comment sections are nitpicky and kind of cruel that honestly I’m not sure if it’d be worth it.
My Laptop broke a month ago (still not working/repaired) so I couldn't continue my star wars expression mini challenge :(

Hey NC chooms, I wanted to promote my AO3 account (Nightcity_Scrapbook) where I am posting Cyberpunk 2077 short stories :)
It will follow V and other plot-related side characters either being silly or having serious moments. My focus is to explore the world more and especially things that get brushed over a lot, such as V's emotional state, or more bonding moments with V, Johnny, Jackie and other chooms and romantic interests.

Rex followed Bly down the hall, "So what happened exactly?' Rex asked.
"Basically, Wolffe and Cody were sparring, they got carried away and Cody managed to trap himself under some of the weights that were hanging on the rack on the wall."
"He what?" Rex asked. "How the hell did he manage that?"
"I don't know I wasn't there, I just picked up the comm call from Ponds because Wolffe was laughing too hard to comm for help."

"What? Fox what the hell are you talking about?" Bly spoke up before Wolffe could continue the argument.
"I'm talking about the decommissioning's that’s been happening to my men since the beginning of the war. I have done everything I can to protect my men, I will not have the GAR come in and put my men at risk, because your actions create consequences for my troops." Fox stated allowing it to sit for a moment. Fox watched as his ex-batchers thought about what Fox had just revealed to them. It wasn't all of it, but it was hopefully enough to get them to start listening to him and to get the GAR men to at least back off a bit.

This had been happening for the past 25 minutes and Echo has had enough. All he wanted was to read this book given to him be the Commander after she had realized all he had for reading was the reg manuals, and decided he needed a new topic of interest. Echo had promised the Commander he would read the book and report back what he found interesting about this fictional story, and his di'kutla vod'e were making it reeaaalllyyyy hard to do so...
"I'mm bo- Hardcase was saying before being interrupted
"You know" Echo started, “I heard that Commander Tano snuck in something called popcorn and left it for anyone who finds. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you had some." Echo told his brothers, catching their attention immediately.
"What's that?" Hardcase asked "Never heard of it. Is it like droid poppers or something?" Hardcase asked.
"No, you eat it."
"I don't know Echo; Droid poppers aren't good to eat..."
"No Jesse they're not-" Echo started before stopping to take a deep breath. "It's food. It's a salty kind of food that's like really good. You should go try some."
"I don't know, this just sounds like some scheme to get rid of us..." Fives said skeptically eyeing Echo who just stared back unamused. "But I am bored, soo, let's go." Fives said standing up and heading out of the barracks.
