Not everything is gay, yes. But some creators will create the most heart-stopping life-changing on screen male friendship with two guys canonically described as two halves of the same whole and then they’ll say “nah they’re just bros.”

I see your ‘Sun/moon ship dynamic,’ and raise you ‘binary stars dynamic’ as in— we orbit each other. We stay in place and keep moving for the other because they won’t stop pulling us in and we won’t stop chasing them. We will draw each other closer and closer until we merge together and explode into a single, beautiful nebula made of our combined star dust. And the nebula is beautiful because it’s us together, because we were always meant to rip ourselves apart to put ourselves back together as one. We are on a path of mutually assured destruction but we can’t turn back now. it’s already happened. It hasn’t happened yet… but it will.

As I was studying Jayce’s new design RELIGIOUSLY— I realized something…
He has a leg brace now. On his left leg… let’s take a closer look:
HE HAS A LEG BRACE ON THE OPPOSITE LEG VIKTOR HAS HIS.
… a leg brace Viktor no longer has— and no longer NEEDS.
Something, something one lost his humanity as the other regained it. That even apart they are connected, or whatever. Two sides of the same coin, their fates reflecting each other etc. etc.
…So Ekko’s gotta be coming in clutch in act 3… right?
HARK!!! I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT the idiotic statement of “isha was a plot device who only served to prove jinx’s humanity and empathy”
People love to say that isha turned into jinx. people love to say that she had no personality of her own. BUT. Isha didn’t “turn into jinx” any more than jinx “turned into isha.” Everything from her little fake jinx tattoos to her naivete and her desperation to “help” Isha is another side to jinx’s coin. They MATCH. Isha dressing like jinx and acting like jinx isnt her “becoming” jinx, its her MATCHING with jinx. Without her, jinx as a character, at least without silco, is just a symbol. Shes a husk. With isha, they are two irreplaceable sides of a coin and fit so perfectly, that match with one another. They cannot exist without eachother. We see this with jinx and her clear self destructive tendencies in the beginning of s2. and we see it again when IMMEDIATELY after ishas death jinx LITERALLY TRIES TO KILL HERSELF. because without isha there is no jinx and the show literally proves that to us time and time again. and it didnt “have” to be isha. jinx just needed something to make her whole and isha happened to stumble across at the perfect time in the perfect place.
all this to say, Isha didn’t slowly take parts of jinx’s personality. Jinx GAVE isha parts of herself. she gave her the drive and the will and the desperation to help people and save zaun and be a symbol. And in turn Isha gave Jinx her innocence and her love back. They are soul bound in almost the same way as jayce and viktor. which is why when she dies, Jinx quite literally is the not the same. she gets rid of her BRAIDS for christs sake, the one biggest symbol of who she is. she dyes her hair, the bright blue hair that everyone associated with jinx the symbol. she gets rid of everything that once connected her to jinx because jinx is no more. without isha there is no jinx. not in the way there once was.
anyway im done yapping i just HATE when people act like isha didnt have personality or character of her own i love isha so much isha for president chat

Isha’s Song
I remember the first time I heard about Arcane. It was through the song 孤勇者, and I loved the song, especially the lyrics, but I didn’t understand the connection to Arcane. My friend got me to watch Arcane these past two weeks, and I am so glad. Isha’s character made me cry, and her relationship with Jinx was so perfectly encapsulated in 这样很好. I love being able to connect with both my languages, Chinese and English, and this song expresses some of the ways(?) other languages can convey stuff English can’t. I’m rambling a bit, but I just want to appreciate this song and give it more love!
Thank you all the Arcane makers (sound, animation, story, everyone!) and Eason Chan (he sang both 孤勇者 and 这样很好）for producing such a beautiful scene.

Here's a silly little fish (I haven't learned how to draw a big one yet)
During Mel's flashback to her childhood in S1, there's a moment where Ambessa stands alone in the ruined doorway of whatever castle she's just overtaken.
Because Mel never supported her cruelty, she's not standing next to her in this shot. She's standing directly opposite her, out of frame.
Now in S2, we see Caitlyn standing dead center in the destroyed council chamber, with Ambessa off to the side.
Ambessa is replacing Mel with Caitlyn, who's now desperate enough to support violence and weaponry - something Mel repeatedly refused to do.
Caitlyn also isn't just a replacement. She's now the continuation of Ambessa's ideologic lineage: That a wolf has no mercy.
And now Caitlyn is getting a new parental figure after just losing her mom.
Who does that remind you of?
I know people want to talk about appreciating and how every show isn't gonna be perfect and blah blah blah but I genuinely did hate season 2 finale, like it sucked, I'm sad, I don't know what to do with myself and I'm not going to sugar coat it because the series has aspects that were pretty amazing, no. I personally hated it, end of story 😭😭

Okay jokes aside, this moment is extremely beautiful and I'm watching this on my own, I cannot explain the surreal feeling that courses through my veins. This show is the air I breathe, the water I drink and the soul inside me and this scene, however the hell you see jayce and viktor literally doesn't matter. Lovers, platonic soulmates, idc. This scene is beautiful, in any context and any universe. Thank you arcane production team.
