just saw people getting mad at a movie for playing into the “r@pe trope” of sad queer movies.. it was based on a true story
it’s not a trope, it’s someone’s real life, yes it is sad, and yes it shouldn’t have been brushed off. but it was. it was brushed off because that is what happened to him in real life
