I love this. I want weird creepy architectural arms creeping from the corners of my house.
hi! umm pls pls PLS if you have the time, do a thingy on arms when you get the chance, they are so hard i could almost cry aslkdjaskjsas, i keep forgetting how many curves an arm should have/how long it should be (in diff positions/when it's not resting at the hips) etc etc etc ahhh omg please!! thank you sosososo much, i l♡ve all of your art and i hope you have a nice day!! ✧ ㅠㅠ ✧
I don’t want to go into detail in terms of muscles, but I’m sure you can find them if you google arm muscles! Hope this helps u out a little!
i just found myself using this random trick that one of my art professors taught me and i thought other people might like it!
other tips: -at rest, the elbow hits the bottom of the ribcage, and the wrist hits the bottom of the crotch -the distance from your inner elbow to your wrist is about the same length as your foot -the length of your hand (from wrist to the tip of your middle finger) is about the same length as the distance between the bottom of your chin and your hairline
so, if you have a feeling that proportions are wrong on something, those work as quick gauges. like, if a character’s forearm looks too long, try to visualize their foot being the same size and see if that works. if the hands look too big, look at their size in relation to the face.
hope this helps someone!
I’m satisfied!

*cough* I was wondering if you could make a tutorial or something on how you draw your arms. >=> or if you have any artists you got inspiration from... ;-; your Sourin makes me really happy btw :3
Arms huh…yeah I have to say, arms are a pain for me to draw sometimes. It’s hard to make them look natural and it’s part of what make drawing people so difficult, because if the arm don’t look right, the rest of the body looks stiff. The shoulder, arms, and hands are among the most expressive of body parts, so it’s important to keep that in mind. Everything I know about drawing arms is based off of real life observation lol. (seriously though, I’ll stare at people’s arms, and sometimes my own, when I’m at the gym. If you have especially nice arm muscle definition, I will stare a lot lmao. I also just stare at people’s arms in general too. I promise I’m not creepy.) This is a basic rundown of how I go about drawing arms:
I divide it into three parts, the shoulder part that connects it to the rest of the body, the upper arm, and the forearm. Three tube-like lumps lmao. You can vary the amount of muscle and muscle definition to change it up.
The first thing I saw was the Winter Falcon ship.
And then this.....
I'm sorry....
If you haven’t seen Lee Pace in "The Fall," well….
YOU… ARE… MISSING… OUT.
(P.S. It’s also a really good film).
We’re a strange pair, aren’t we. Hm-mm!

This was after my arm workout today. I super settled Bi's and Tri's. 3 movements for each, so a total of 6 today, with 30-40 seconds of rest between sets. Rep range went from 16,12,8,12.
Shoulder shape is starting to become better. Worked front, side, and back of Delts today. 1/8/13.
Post shoulder workout 12/18/12. Working on getting stronger and adding lean mass.
