Marvel snap AU
Just to be incredibly angsty, imagine your OTP going through the snap.
Imagine how they are in the middle of something normal and one turns to the other to share a smile or say something when they other just falls into dust.
Imagine that they felt it coming, crumbling slowly away as the other sobs and tries to desperately hold them together.
Imagine the one left behind waiting for years, trying to live without their partner at their side.
Imagine they joy when the other returns. The tearful reunion and the promise not to leave each other again.
Or, imagine the confusion when one returns to find that the other has moved on, aged and in a new relationship. Imagine them trying to cope with all these sudden changes without their partner, remembering a time when they were happy and wishing that they had stayed. Imagine them moving on with a family now years older than them, feeling misplaced in this whole new world.
Imagine your OTP.

mistylot (slightly) canon divergence
misty and lottie start dating post rescue bc nat dumped both for travis - again - and misty visited lottie at the hospital for a while because she needed someone to talk to about the whole situation. someone who truly understood her (in this instance, at least - two lesbians suffering over a bisexual girl who likes emo boys).
for some reason, they break up during the early-mid 2000's. an ugly break-up, makes both of them spiral into their worst versions all over again. lottie starts the "intentional community" and tries really hard to stay in touch with reality, while misty sinks into reddit and unresolved murder cases until she can't really think of anything else.
and this goes on until natalie gets out of rehab (again) looking for misty and all the canon adult stuff from season 1 happens - mistys love and caring for natalie, an old flame reignites. also, the beginning of season 2 - lotties need to make natalie 'heal' and her attempt to reconnect.
then, inevitably, misty and lottie reunite in s2 in lotties cult - we see them getting all weird during their first interaction, they try to act as if nothing has happened since none of the other girls have a clue about their past together (none of them answered misty nor visited lottie anyway, it was their secret).
they focus on fighting over nat again, just like old times, but obviously it doesn't work: lottie uses nat as an excuse to keep misty with them, misty gets crazy over lotties jealousy of nat...
they keep this chaotic dynamic until nat dies - misty stays in bed for weeks, mourning, and lottie is sent back to the mental facility, against her will. without natalie, they're both the outcasts again, so they try to bond with shauna. lottie tries to stay at her house, learning about her family and befriending callie, while misty tries to do the same she used to do with natalie, she wants shauna to do road trips and solve mysteries with her.
the day shauna asks misty to babysit callie (and lottie, lol) they have such a weird reunion, both mourning and with so many unresolved feelings. misty is clearly mad with lottie, but lottie comforts her and, again, they become each others safe haven.
that's when they start remembering the old times - slowly.

While working on the headshot rough drafts for the AU variants of Neue, I’m also brainstorming on some concepts for, I guess a reimagining of a few AUs. This is not me trying to “improve” the original AU, it’s just me wanting to have some fun & doing my take of other AUs.
This is gonna be a veeeeeerrry looooong post.
The main 2 I’ll be working on are Horrortale & Dusttale.
I wanted to get opinions & suggestions for these concepts before delving too deep into these ideas. Please tell your thoughts on this & if I need to change/improve on.
Horrortale will be more appearance-based, meaning that I won’t be doing a lot of story building & it’s more of just redesigning the characters to look more “monstrous”. Basically they’ll be more animalistic or feral & their bodies would have gone through heavy changes to “adapt”.
*This is literally an excuse to draw the characters as big & scary horror movie style “monsters”. I guess this would make it similar to the Underworld AU, but the story or origin for the change would be similar to Horrortale, but takes place even further after the Neutral Route*
For right now, I’ve been calling this AU of an AU: Feral!Horrortale. But a few others are Dwellertale/Underdwell, Undercave/Cavetale, Carnitale & or Undermaw.
I’ve written a few ideas for their overall appearance based on Nocturnal & Cave-Adapted animals. I won’t list all of them otherwise this post will be way too long, but here are a few:
Eyes
Will become bigger
Pupils will become extremely dilated
Will become blind, either with cloudy Pupils or losing their eyes completely
Mouth
Jaw becomes much stronger
Able to be unhinged
Senses
Becomes extremely sensitive to light
Scent of smell & hearing will become much more heightened
May develop echolocation due to loss of sight
General Appearance
Depending on location, those in colder areas will become bigger, while those living in hotter areas will become smaller
Aging will slow down, longer lifespan
Psychological Changes
Will become much more aggressive & animalistic/feral
Start to communicate through nonverbal communication: clicking, chirps, barks, croaks, etc.
These are just a few of concepts for this version of Horrortale.
For Dusttale, it’ll be more story-based, but will have some illustrations here & there. The main differences is that Vani would be from this version & would detail an alternate ending for Vani, also this version would include Sans being “hired” to work for Nightmare.
Now before I go on about the basic concept for this AU, I’ll need to explain a few things first:
Sans’s Killing Spree: I don’t know if in the original he killed all monsters (I kept getting mixed answers or no answers at all), but in this version he only killed most monsters. There were a few that were able to get away & hide before Sans could get them; Sans only wanted to get enough EXP to reach LV 19 or 20 (I can’t decide which one yet). Vani, & probably characters like Monster Kid, Napstablook & Mettaton (Ghost Form), would be one of these survivors.
*As a side note: Papyrus in this AU is an actual ghost & not a hallucination, but I’ll go over that in another post*
Frisk & Chara: In this AU, Frisk & Chara are basically “organic” A.I. attached to a “Real World Anchor” aka Frisk’s body/vessel. Chara was the original concept for the “Fallen Human”, but was scrapped due to them being too “independent & free-willed”. Frisk is the current concept prototype for the “Fallen Human”, made from original data & a blank template; however bits of Chara’s A.I. was used as filler for missing information within Frisk’s A.I., this causes Chara to appear as a glitched phantom (good example of this would be Glitchtrap from FNaF Help Wanted). Chara has little to no control over Frisk, instead they can only give “suggestions” to hopefully influence Frisk’s actions.
The Player: The Player is depicted/described as a higher entity or deity, they could be seen as the “Angel” sent to create peace between humans & monsters (this is based off the theory that the rune we see throughout the game is a depiction of 2 monsters, a human & an angel). The Player at the beginning of the route will have minimal control over Frisk, mainly able to give “directions or actions” that Frisk should follow. But the more EXP that is gained, the more control the Player will have over Frisk. This could cause a total takeover with the Player “ejecting” the A.I. from the anchor aka vessel.
How Did Vani Survive: In the most simplistic way of describing: she can’t die, her soul will automatically heal itself/her. Now in further details: Vani was born with (what I’ll be calling for now) a glitched soul; this causes the soul to look, well glitched out. However it has an ability to automatically heal itself & its body, but not through the usual way; via magic or healing items. Whenever Vani takes damage, the soul will “reload” her back to the point/time & placement right before she takes damage; however the world around her is not affected or altered by this ability, to everyone around her: she looks like she’s “lagging” or “glitching”. Fortunately, or more like unfortunately, this ability is automatically & Vani is unable to “deactivate” it; it use to be super over efficient (would activate if Vani took 1HP or less), but started to calm down has Vani got older (would activate if Vani loses half or more). Even if her HP reaches 0, the soul will activate its ability & essentially “resurrect” Vani; this is what happened when Sans was trying to kill her.
Ok now that that’s out of the way, the basic concept of this AU is…
BRINGING BACK THE DEAD!!!
Or Vani & the remaining monsters tried to improve on the artificial DETERMINATION to resurrect the fallen monsters. But it still causes them to melt, but can gain stability by “merging” with other monsters or inanimate objects (sticks, plants, sturdy clothing, etc.).
This obviously a huge info dump, but I’m super excited about this & I wanted to get everyone’s opinion or suggestion before I go too deep in.

(Character A) is a typical teenage protagonist of a high school movie. (Character B) is the typical teenage love interest of the high school movie. Only, there’s a few things in the way of their relationship - their depression, anxiety, problems with authority, and their parents...
All of them teachers at their school.
Prompt #28
(Character A)’s friend, (Character C), has a HUGE crush on (Character B). In fact, so does (Character A), but they don’t want to start a rivalry with their already possessive friend, so they don’t mention it.
(Character C) comes up with the idea of fake-dating each other in an attempt to make (Character B) jealous, buuuuut....
(Character B) only seems jealous of (Character C).
Prompt #27
(Character A) is a writer lacking inspiration. (Character B) is recently gained the place in the Guinness Book Of Word Records as the most interesting person in the world. They just bumped into each other, literally, in a coffee shop.
Prompt #25
(Character A) and (Character B) are best friends, so of course, when (Character A) goes on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, they use a lifeline to call their best friend. They don’t need it, but they just wanted to talk to them before they won.
So, of course, (Character B) accidentally confesses their long-time crush on (Character A) on live television.
... Shit.
Prompt #21
AU where when two people fall in love with each other, they are stuck together forever and can’t fall in love with anyone else after.
(Character A) fell in love with (Character C) a long time ago, but (Character C) was only pretending to love them. Unaware of this, (Character A) ends up breaking up with them after finding (Character C) cheating.
Heartbroken and lonely, (Character A) runs to their best friend, (Character B), who, unbeknownst to (Character A), is in love with them.
As (Character A) recovers, they begin to fall for (Character B), but is in denial, as they believe they already had their love. (Character B) is in denial for the same reason, but soon start to suspect something is up after (Character C) claims to have found their TRUE love.
Prompt #20
The world is run by the intelligent, and the dumb are considered as lesser humans.
(Character A) is one of the most elite, knowledgeable people, and holds a high ranking. Contrastingly, (Character B) isn’t smart, and is looked at as scum.
However, both of them find each other through the internet, and as they talk more and more, they realize that the system may be rigged.
Prompt #19
(Character A) is the heir to the throne. Their parents hire a bodyguard after rumours of an assasination (false ones), who ends up to be (Character B).
Now, (Character B) was a mercenary before, so they gained a lot of enemies, and are very accident-prone. Really, (Character A) is more suited to be THEIR bodyguard.
In the end, (Character A) protects (Character B), and they bond over their situation.

(Character A) is a rebellious angel. (Character B) is a caring demon.
(Character B) tries to stop (Character A) from being too crazy, (Character A) tries to influence (Character B), and they’re both a mess.
Prompt #17
(Character A) is a colourblind painter who loves flowers (they became a painter of modern art on accident, after they were scouted in art class for their ‘interesting colours’, despite their attempts to avoid their family’s business/tradition).
(Character B) is a florist with allergies who loves art (they became a florist because it was the family’s business and tradition) and is a new friend to (Character A).
One day, they decide to switch jobs by taking each other’s places and they find themselves loving it. As they grow closer by asking questions about their professions, they realize both that their families hate each other from a feud in the 1800’s and that they can’t keep the ploy up forever.
And, as it gets more complicated, they start to fall in love.
