I'm gonna try to draw some backgrounds and places from Hollow knight in perspective, and this one is the first!

Too bad my markers ran out halfway

I tried blending in Firealpaca since there wasn’t any Blend tool I used Smudging and blur I think I did good.

Might not be the exact aesthetic you were looking for, but I tried!

I know I have been all over the place about when or if I post but I got something I feel is worthy to posy about!

I was practicing backgrounds!! It took me hours if you don't count having to charge my tablet, and I feel so happy how it came out! You can see where I was experimenting with the trees and the lily flowers don't look thar great but the point of this was for me to practice and experiment with different brushes. I love the textures the brushes gave me as it gives off a children's story book vibe. Which is really great since I want to one day be a illustrator for children's books!

I really want to make art a sort of career/passion for me so I feel more happy with what I do. I mean that's what's most important right? To just do what makes you happy? I don't know when that day will come but I want to work hard towards it. I guess the hardest part for me is feeling happy with my drawings and putting myself out there. I have a mini series and working on some smiling critters designs right now that focus on character designs.

I'm currently standing in a Welcome Home and smiling critters fandoms. The plush and puppet aesthetic is kinds comforting to me. I'm not going to do anything with Poppy Playtime as I rather focus more on the toon show of smiling critters and not the horror toys comes to life game plot. Since the smiling critters show are canonically separate from plush versions in the game it's a lot easier for me to focus on them and make my own au without dealing with horror elements from the game. The fact the smiling critters gives off care bears and MLP from my childhood felt so comforting to me. Nowadays it's hard to deal with so much negativity in the world right now and we need some positivity to cope. For me it's things that would remind me of my childhood, back when things were happier and simpler like Sesame Street, the Muppets, or Care Bears.

Shelter from the Storm

week 18 "arin and ranei, taking shelter from a storm. the endlessly stormy forests of lazure offer them little time to rest.. but theyve been lucky with finding food, and found an overpass which can protect them from the storm, for the time being. after starting a small fire, theyre able to dry off, for the first time in a long time. food will eventually run dry in this area, so they cant stay here forever.. but theyll enjoy the fire and food while they have it, enjoying a rare moment of respite with one another" -the historian, 723sd hi hi! week 18, already? time flies by so quickly. anyways, wanted to draw some cute catboys. (you cant stop me). this one took me 6.5 hours, and has only 112 unique color values. not my best work, but im still pretty proud of it. anywho, thank you for checking out my work! i hope you have a wonderful week ♡

Lorine and Songpup ♡

week 13 "a young rivira swims home, after a long evening defending her village. she is exhausted, but finds refuge outside her old home, resting against the outer wall. the flow of the lake has worn down the old wood and clay, and a soft moss clings to the windowsills and doorways. she waits for her big sister, clare, to return home from scavenging near the shores. shes out longer than usual, but lori knows her sister can take care of herself.. so she will give her a little longer, before she decides to go search. but as she waits, a songwolf pup glides over to her. she knows the pup is too young to be able to sing yet, but she finds them very cute. they have a little collar, so lori knows they must have a caretaker around here somewhere.. but she doesnt know anyone with songpups, so she decides the songpup can wait here with her for the night" -the historian, 204sd week 13! oh, goodness. im late as heck. rough week, i guess ><. this piece took me nearly 7 hours, somehow, and has 127 unique color values. ive never seriously tried a fully underwater piece, so this one was very tricky! im sorry if its not very clear. anyways, thank you for checking out my art! i hope you have a wonderful week c: ♡

Versus Hornet Protector!

week 9! "come no closer, ghost. ive seen you, creeping through the undergrowth, stalking me. this old kingdom... a terrible thing awakens. i can smell it in the air... i know what you are. i know what youd try to do. i cant allow it." -Hornet hi hi! here is week 9! took about 4 hours, and fun fact, it has 66 unique colors. i figured, i am mostly doing akutay arts these days, but i thought id return the classics and draw hornet and little ghost! its obvious why the community loves them so ^^. anyways, thank you for checking out my art! i hope you have a wonderful week, hons ♡

Lost in Waterfell

week 8 "lila had been very young when she lost her home. the war had taken a turn for the worse, and it seemed like the whole village might be swallowed up by it.. her parents had decided to leave, for lila's safety. as they packed, they told her to go through the escape portal, and theyd be right behind her. no one knew where these exit portals lead.. it was a last resort, reserved for when there was no other options left. lila went through, to find a peaceful place.. colors she had never seen before, and rain much heavier than at home, despite there being no sky to speak of. there was no one around, so.. she waited for her parents. a couple minutes, at first.. then half an hour.. then hours, and eventually.. days. the rain never let up. she was cold, soaked, and hungry. she still prayed to lurielle to let her see her parents again, but she couldnt wait here any longer. she left her hidey hole, in search of help.. hopefully thered be someone here who could help her find her parents" -the historian, 204sd hi hi! heres the art of week 8! took me about 4 hours. quite late, because i overslept, but i hope you still enjoy it! im sorry its a sad one ;w;. but anyways, thank you for checking out my art! i hope you have a wonderful week ♡

Cats in the Rain, Elen and Melon ♡

week 6 "in the caves of ryokai, on the outskirts of ferakova, a young rivira lady named elen, is resting, and playing her guitar. the rain falls outside, pattering the roof, and watering the flora. she is lonely, and a bit tired.. she had been gardening all of the morning, and 'crop sales' have been slow. she gets ready to wind down, and take a nap, but before she can set her guitar down, she hears a faint meowing from outside.. she decides to feel her way to the door, and scuffles her feet as she walks. she is completely blind, but her hearing is pristine. she shambles her way towards the meowing, and tentatively feels for the cat, and petting it. what is this fendite cat doing out in the rain? water burns all who are fire aligned.. most run, or hide. this cat seems soft, and friendly.. elen decides to shelter them, for now. they are fat and round, so she decides to nickname them melon, until she thinks of something better. shes never been much of a cat person, with how often they eat her crops.. but she will take care of this one, at least until the rain lets up" -the historian, 582sd hi hi! back again. this one took me about 4 hours, and agh, im later than id have preferred.. but i hope you still enjoy it! anyways, thank you for checking out my art, i hope you have a wonderful week c:

The End of The World

the entire kingdom shook, and the light from the moon began to dim. entire regions were blanketed in darkness, and countless buildings crumbled. thousands fled into the dimensional exit portals, hoping to escape with their lives.. the valley knew the end was nigh, and the king and queen embraced one another, ready to go down with the ship.

Scavengers of Lazure ♡

"two gaukren make their way back from the lazure ruins. theyve been searching for trinkets and cool things to bring back to their hideout.. theyve no need for food, so they mostly just collect whatever they think is interesting! that, and material to protect their stuff from the storms. they dont mind the rain, but when it storms, they risk getting washed away. despite this danger, imn is very nonchalant, and lazy.. sif doesnt understand them, but knows its better they work together. imn knows this place very well, so their knowledge is invaluable, even if they dont help much. and.. even if they didnt, imn is all sif really has. theyre alone together in this land, and they share a bond like siblings." -The Historian, 718sd

week 33 "every time it rains, i try to make an effort to go for a walk- whether its cold, hot, windy, or pouring. the rain just makes the world feel more vibrant to me.. makes the air feel fresh, like im really breathing again. calms me, helps me relax. wish i had some people to walk with, but most people dont care for the rain. im sure ill find someone to walk with someday."
