Decided to make a caramel custard pudding for my stepfather’s birthday. Hope it turns out okay.
Edit: I’m finally done and I think I did pretty good for my first time making it.
My sister bought these cute gentilly cupcakes for my mom’s birthday and they were delicious. I need to find the recipe so I can make them at home

Hey, also, all the anarchist shit aside, tomorrow I want you to make something.
I forced myself to draw something after the 2016 election. I forced myself to draw something when my mother died in 2018. I forced myself to draw something when my spouse was hospitalized for multiple organ failure in 2021.
When you are miserable, make something. Add a row to your project, bake a box cake, draw on a sheet of lined paper, write a poem on a napkin, fold an origami shirt out of a dollar bill, make your favorite recipe for dinner, but make something with your hands, something that you can hold and look at engage your senses in.
It won't fix the world, but it will change the world. You will have made something that didn't exist before. You will have impacted your reality, even in a very small way. And it is going to be something you made *after.* Something bad happened, something shook you, and you made something after, in spite of it.
Bowynn Gods: Hyu
Hyu (Hi-you) Hyu is the God of baking, ovens and bread. He is the “Baker of the Gods.” He is also the god of bread making, mills, harvesting wheat, the grinding of flour, acorn gathering and the patron of bakers. He is the son of Amaetheon and Deanna. His man means “Flour.” Hyu is a master bread maker. He has his own room and kitchen at Alaway, where he makes all the feasts for the divine Akua family each morning and night, particularly the daily first loaf, which is divided up among the gods. He taught the first mortal tribes how to harvest and prepare acorns for bread making. The bread he makes for the holy family is the most sacred. Hyu is also the guardian of mills. His image was always depicted on mill doors and all mills had a small shrine to Hyu. Hand mills are blessed in Hyu’s name.
The 7 days Hyu spent with the first tribes to teach them the arts of bread making. This was one of the key elements that brought on man’s survival. So grateful were the tribes, that they build a special temple to Hyu in the shape a mill, instead of the typical shape. The altar as well was designed in the shape of a millstone.
Hyu is depicted as a man of full age, His hair longish and brown, often seen in workman’s clothes of earth tones and a bakers tan tunic. He carries a broom-staff to which is bound his bread-board with red fillets, a color sacred to him. Offerings to Hyu are in the realm of bread, wheat, flour, acorns, and other grains that are made into flour. Special gifts also consist of elaborated carved spoons, brooms, bread-boards, honey and herb cakes. Hyu’s totem is the mouse, the symbol of abundant wealth.

this one's gonna be a slow roll i think, cuz i'm endeavouring to create a 3D tulip bouquet with variegated petal colors!!! so that'll require a lot of setting time between layers (plus it's WRESTLEMANIA weekend!) but i'll capture as much of the process as i can! 💗👍

it is 4 am !
what ive been listening to recently:
its now the last few days of ramadan lets go i've loved making springrolls everyday without fail 😝
these days have been so ?? ever since my last post i got pulled into the attendance office at school and they were so stern and stubborn about me being in on time and the lady went as far as calling me stupid and jobless 😬
but now that the easter break has come by things seem so nice and quiet and i baked for the first time in a while !! it was so nice my brownies came out so well look at how scrumptious they look,,
on top of my amazing brownies which i might drop the recipe to soon, i also have been speaking to my friends so much more !! im closer with a few people now and healed from people who have hurt me i feel loved and i fuck w it !!
also working on self concept and my spiritual aspect has worked so well i've been keeping my thoughts on a leash and i feel like im in a studio ghibli film on a train and the wind is hitting my face slowly yk?
if i told this to me last november she wouldve sobbed so hard, im glad im doing better yay

fucked up how cooking and baking from scratch is viewed as a luxury…..like baking a loaf of bread or whatever is seen as something that only people with money/time can do. I’m not sure why capitalism decided to sell us the idea that we can’t make our own damn food bc it’s a special expensive thing that’s exclusive to wealthy retirees but it’s stupid as hell and it makes me angry
