One-shot (if you’ve seen the Flash T.V. show): The reader is a metahuman w/ cryokinetic abilities and can’t control them, and when Barry tries to help, the reader ends up hurting him w/their powers? Basically, please give the reader an “Elsa-complex” Announcements: I really had fun with this one *sadistic laughter* and I really hope that you all enjoy. I was thinking about possibly doing a part 2 with this one, if anybody wants to request it *wink wink*. Warnings: A little bit of violence and self deprecation.
This was just NOT your day. Currently you running away from Central City PD after a simple misunderstanding. You were just going about your day at your job when a customer who’s arms were full, tripped. You had reached out and tried to catch her but, somehow, that had set off your powers. Suddenly, everything that the customer had dropped smashed into the floor into thousands of tiny, frozen pieces. The next few minutes were filled with people screaming and running away from you, and eventually, CCPD showing up, thinking you were another super villain.
You had dashed out of there, not knowing what else to do except get away from anyone else you could hurt. And that’s where you are now. In your work uniform, running away with little ice patches forming wherever you stepped. Soon you found yourself in one of the more run down places in the city, mostly just abandoned warehouses.
Ducking into one, you were about halfway through the floor when there was suddenly a red blur in front of you. One moment it was just empty space, the next there was a man in a red spandex suit in front of you. The Flash.
You stumbled back, “No, please, don’t come any closer! I don’t want to hurt you.”
Ignoring what you said, he started inching forward, approaching you like a scared animal, “It’s ok, I can help you.”
With every step he took forward you were taking two steps back, “No, no, please. I don’t know how to control it. Please, stop!”
Ice was starting to grow around you rapidly, moving out in all directions, even up the walls. The Flash looked away from you for a moment, as if listening to something, which he probably was.
After a moment he looked back at you with is kind eyes and tried again, “Please, just calm down. I’m not going to hurt you, I just want to help.”
Your back hit the wall and now you started feeling like a cornered animal, shutting your eyes you held your hands out in front of you, trying to make him back off a bit.
“Get back!” You yelled.
Suddenly, ice streaked from your hands and struck the Flash in the chest, sending him flying backwards. Your eyes shot open in shock. Oh no, no, no, no. That’s not good. You didn’t mean to do that.
Everything was quiet for a moment, then you gained back some of your senses, “F-Flash? Oh, God, are you ok? I- I didn’t mean for that to happen! I promise, I’m sorry!”
Against your urge to run away, you started inching forward, trying to see if he was ok, “Flash? A-Are you ok?”
You didn’t want to get too close to him in case your powers went off again, so you gave him a wide berth and circled around to try and see his face. He didn’t look good. His lips were starting to turn blue and what little you could see of his face was deathly white. Ice crystals formed on his eyelashes and his entire chest was encase in ice. Your hand went to cover your mouth.
You did it again. You messed up and now someone, a symbol of hope to this city, a superhero, was dying, or already dead. You did something that no super villain could do before, because you didn’t control your stupid power. While he was trying to help you, no less. That make you a super villain, you thought. You’re nothing better than a super villain. You started hyperventilating.
“I’m so sorry. I never meant for this to happen. It’s all my fault.”
All of a sudden, he groaned in response. It was so quiet that you all, almost didn’t hear it. You gasped in a sort of relief that he wasn’t dead.
You thought he tried to say anything else but before he could, police and SWAT started pouring through what seemed like every entrance. All of them had guns and they were being pointed at your head. You tried to calm yourself down as everyone started yelling at you to get down. Dropping to your knees and raising your hands, you tried focusing on the Flash, who was currently trying to move. He managed to roll over onto his back and look you in the eyes.
With one last attempt before they dragged you up and out of the building, you managed to say, “I’m so sorry.”
