I think that Scar is or would be a very very big fan of the mechanisms (queer and disabled space pirates??? What more could you want?!). I have a lot of thoughts on this (I’m writing a mechs inspired hermitcraft au where he’s literally the mechs biggest fan, so, of course I’ve put my mind to it very very often) so here’s some!
I think people would assume that Scars favourite character is Marius because they are very alike, and while, of course, Scar does love Marius an absurd amount like the rest of the mechs, I think his favourite would actually be Ashes! I think their backstory would be very interesting to him, and (this is mainly for the au) their mannerisms would remind them of Cleo a bit!
His favourite album would be High Noon over Camelot, and his favourite song Blood & Whiskey! Doomed relationships in a desert wasteland sounds quite familiar but I was not, funnily enough, thinking about that while deciding this. I think he’d generally love all their music, of course, like I do, but that album is his favourite. ALSO UDAD!! The music from udad is amazing (in my opinion) and I think he’d agree!
He watches Revenge of Spaceport Mahon religiously and laughs at the joke about flesh eating mutants (if I can recall correctly) every. Single. Time. Is this me projecting? Perhaps. But that doesn’t mean it can still be true!
Gets a lot of stims from the mechanisms. I see a lot of my own autism traits in him, so why not add another more? Humming or singing songs is an obvious one, but I think a lot of vocal stims from narration songs would also be common! “Ew!” (The Aurora strikes), “Where did you get that violin?!” (Expert testimony), “It’s been sixty years!”, “She was absolutely covered in blood. Luckily, none of it was hers.”, “hello!” (Alice), and more I can see very well. Maybe even “he’s just some guy you know” from the udad live.
As you can tell, I am insanely autistic about the Mechanisms (I am watching the Revenge of Spaceport Mahon right now actually…) and I will keep pushing that onto Scar. Named plushies from character? Yep, he would too! Has a (UDAD) cd? Of course, come on now. Listens to their music daily, and has been for nearly two years? That’s just a given.
I think also for Hermitcraft (which I watch and enjoy more than life series, so most of my ideas are based on that), Ren would also enjoy them because of the theatre kid stuff. But this is about Sir Scar! The Czar of Star Wars, himself!
One second left alone, and Scar immediately starts singing Drunk Space Pirate. Is this something I do, as well? Silly question, of course it is. If there’s anything I’m good at, it’s giving my favourites my exact autism.
I also want to note how much you can tell I love hermitcraft. The fact that I’m making a mechs inspired au for them is actually monumental. I generally don’t like au’s, and have not really felt comfortable enough to connect another interest to my main one, the mechs, before (aside from splatoon but that didn’t really go anywhere. This is) so! It makes me happy
