Is there any evidence beyond anecdotal that systems with ADHD/autistic systems are more likely to be "fictive-heavy" due to having special interests? I've seen that claim floating around tumblr as if its medical fact, and it feels very strangely infantilizing, as if having ADHD/autism makes one inherently more fantasy-prone. Have professionals even written about "fictive-heavy" systems? Most literature I've read mentions fictional introjects in general as, maybe, a footnote at best.
Anon, I feel like you're coming at this from the wrong angle. Being autistic or having ADHD does lend to hyperfixations, including fiction. This is not the same as being fantasy prone, nor does it negate the legitimacy of DID or introjects. MANY aspects of DID/OSDD are still underresearched. Lack of more documentation of fictives in professional literature does not make them any less real or prevalent.
As to whether this is more common in autistic/ADHD systems, I don't know for sure. It's not something I could prove to you with stats; though the logic and reasoning follows.
I don't think it is at ALL infantalizing to note that fictives seem more common in these systems due to hyperfixations on fiction/media. To say so would indicate that fictives in general have a negative connotation or are something to be looked down upon which is simply not true.
Input and discussion on any/all questions is encouraged.
Infernal Rajang
A re-imagining of Frontier’s Voljang, this variant is a Rajang that’s diet consists of Teostra instead of Kirin. This change of diet from a young age, causes Infernal Rajang to grow red fur, scales, and more upward turned horns. On top of the physical changes, Infernal Rajang is coated in explosive powder, expanding their combat abilities vastly. This means their punches, charges, and slams can explode when enraged. Infernal Rajang’s breath attack is now high pressured fire and gains an explosion attack reminiscent of Teostra’s.
charles: If you bite it and you die, it’s poisonous. If it bites you and you die, it’s venomous. erik: What if it bites me and it dies!? alex: Then you’re poisonous. Jesus Christ, erik, learn to listen. raven: What if it bites itself and I die? hank: That’s voodoo. sean: What if it bites me and someone else dies? erik: That’s correlation, not causation. raven: What if we bite each other, and neither of us die? hank: That’s kinky. charles: Oh my God.
Here is my take on Beast! Wirt and Lanter Holder! Wirt
I don't usually post my digital drawings ('cause they are ugly), but this one turned ok, except the hand, but I like it!

This was the comic I have made back in college and it was still my best made comic, very proud of it!
Part 1 ➡️ Part 2
I have plan to create a BatB comic including some of my ocs.! I could try to make another page, but I have a lot of stuff that I need to work on! Second Slide is without text.

Heeey I'm still working on funguary, even though it's March already :D 16 out of 28 done, and I will complete it sooner or later Sarcosphaera genus, false chanterelle, trogia venenata (their alt. name is literally "little white mushroom" like what?) and octopus stinkhorn
Another 4 funguary entries! Cryo vine (this is NOT a real life fungi - it's a plant from Borderlands: TPS that looks like mushroom), puffball, turkey tail, bleeding tooth All of them except first one - revisited 2024 prompts :]
Og X-Men lineup goes hard tbh
in a previous au of mine i had a little pondering over if other x men were teens instead of what happened to the og 5 in the comics.
pondering further, i imagine that all if not most of the ages of the x men are flipped. to elaborate, in this au old man cable who could be approx. 60 years maybe, would be a toddler / maybe 5 . taking the og 5 themselves, if in the comics they're currently in their late twenties, in this au they would be in their late 30's or early 40's
by this logic charles wouldn't have formed the x men and the brotherhood doesn't exist.
so in this au, the og 5 form the x men.
they meet as teens because of a string of math or academic contests along the school year. because the competitions happen all over the country , plenty of different school teams end up travelling together . they meet enough times to form a group and jokingly call themselves the x men 'cuz they all always solving for X (get it, they always meet for math olympiads and such )
scott - great at trigonometry, bobby at algebra, warren - co ordinate geometry, beast is the ever all-rounder and jean is a biology beast
time goes on , the x gene activates, they help each other with their powers and grow closer together as friends
since professor x isn't there to help scott and give him his ruby quartz glasses, in this au scott doesn't get anything like a visor until maybe his thirties. this happens as the gang do end up finding a solution for scott's uncontrolled optic blasts they don't have the finances for it, so when they're established in their careers with good money they make his glasses. Warren could give his money because his parents were always strict with whom he could spend it on.
the only way scott could control it was by....shutting his eyes. he's essentially blind
for adult life they do stay connected sometimes sharing apartments
jean becomes a biologist specializing , in human gene mutations, bobby becomes a CA, warren manages his family business, hank does a whole host of PhDs and is in the research field, he might later on join mutant related politics.
i headcanon scott to start a youtube channel for funsies where he sometimes post videos of him singing, after a while he keeps getting better at song writing and singing, and views keep pouring in. He starts earning money from it. he saves up for joining a pilot program. yada yada plot happens, he joins the military pilot program by scholarship even though he's blind cause he has excellent spatial awareness. he graduates but continues to sing to earn money as a side hustle during breaks. he gets famous as a singer too. his stage name is *drumrolls please* MR. BEAM *wink* *wink* *wink* *wink*
yada yada plot occurs, they open a school for mutants, and do x men missions.
oh, btw, scott is in a relationship with madeline pryor , they get married and have nathan in their mid thirties. he met her during his flight program in the same institute but she was in a different flight program. in this au, madeline and jean become friends, they were never clones, but they look very alike , its a running joke that their twins/clones in another universe.
to differentiate between them, in my au, jean & madeline both have telekinesis and telepathy, but jean has weak telekinesis and madeline has weak telepathy. together the call themselves the 'Phoenix'.
[ madeline is a crazy lady and scott loves it. he even wrote a song about her 'crazy maddie' :-) ]

i don't consider myself a writer or an artist. if any of you could be so kind as to add your inputs and give creative pieces for this muse, i would be grateful and overjoy.
Halloooo !! , fellow lovers. I had a brainworm :-)
once upon a time, in an interview long ago, Stan Lee said, (i repeat in not so accurate words) ".... the secret to writing the x men was not to treat it like an action story but like a soap opera .... "
as far as i can see in my okayish memory, all the x-men intros show their powers in a brief action sequence with there code name showing up before/after said sequence. In my imagination, the intros proceed to show the main/side characters in their element or with their buddies, there by showing their relationships/goofier sides/ bits of personality. Less focus on cool power moves.
Ex: scott with his cereal/soup, professor x (charles xavier) playing chess, talking philosophy with magneto , logan and kurt doing mischief and pranking others with kitty pryde ( in her late teens or as a young adult) , hank and jean doing science shit and list goes on .
all the scenes shift around and about the x-mansion (maybe with a different cooler sounding name) with the character pairs in different rooms, giving the audience the layout with plenty of clues here and there for what could be happening in future episodes.
there will be plenty of kids as main/side characters also. i imagine that as we seen them, their names (real ones not code names) in a font they like with some jazz just beside/behind them
bits and pieces of the intro slightly change with progression in episodes showing the changes in their relationships
( **just personal preference, i don't imagine a jean-logan-scott poly ship or love triangle in this narrative, only scott-jean ship. )
the format of the show will be a hybrid of drama, action, love, friendship, a balance between high stakes and and feels
premises(sort of ?) - older members being teachers (ex: storm) [we actually get to see them teach their subjects], some being in IT support/ security (ex: forge) and youngest (ex: jubilee even magik or quentin quire maybe) being students
A plot- revolves around the various students and teachers: life/origin story, family, inter-personal relations
B plot- anti-mutant, time travel, religious bigot shit, simultaneously advancing the A plot
(as i type this out i do realize that what i just described does take inspo form x men evolution :-p )

Look in the eyes of the horror.
Drawing the beast from otgw for a sec cause I recently got hit with otgw nostalgia
Beast loves all things big and beastly so he works hard to keep up his grizzly image. So you can imagine his surprise when her met someone as beastly as him at a mini golf place. Beast was star struck and had fun making friends with the giant dinosaur. They talked a lot and had me take a picture :)

Another dude I made but using this weird watercolor ink stuff. Unfortunately its not waterproof like my india ink so I had to work around that aspect and work with any of the color bleeds. Still, was pretty fun to do and I enjoy the result. Might do a similar design like this again, but with gold and yellow inks instead. We shall see. Gotta get my hands on some of those colors tho, cause the brown and green seen here are a gift from my bestie.

This is just a beastie that I’ve had a sketch of lying around for a while. Decided to finally get the design done and inked it with my beloved india ink. Surprisingly, these are starting to take a lot less time, probably cause I’m getting more comfortable with the medium, along with being not as stiff with mistakes.
Lots of fun and got more stuff like this in the works.
A thing I’ve been working on for the past day or so, completed 3-18-18. Had this in the lineart sketchbook for a long while now, but decided to just get it done and over with. Took about 10-15 hours to do, which was longer than Indigestion’s time to finish, which was around a few hours. That’s probably ‘cause I took way more time with the lineart on this one than the previous, so I’m gonna try to keep that stage on the down low and simple next time around. I want these things to just go faster so that I can get stuff out faster. This one allowed me to play more with shading, and I like what I did with the background, what with the increasing lightness as you go down. Was great fun to do, and am excited for the next project. The next one is likely to be a piece with more tight lineart and no shading, so look forward to it.

Taking a break from college to reevaluate my goals and decide if I really do want to pursue art, which I’m definitely leaning towards doing. As such I’m using my time to explore more into what I want to do with my art. I find this style to be much more relaxing than that of my tight linework, but I love doing both, so stay tuned for more stuff in the near future.

I love how this beauty turned out. First time I was able to do just linework too without wanting to shade some bits. Gah I just love this piece so much, I wanna do another one like it already, even though it was kinda a pain figuring out how all of those veils should go. 10/10 would do again though. Who knows, I might just ink it and color it one day. I'm excited for the future!
NOW THIS GUY I AM PROUD OF. He took forever because I was constantly referencing my anatomy books to get him to feel just right. And right does he feel. Finished him in summer 2016 and I love all the small details I was able to pack in that just add to the stretched feel of his skin. His head was kinda hard though to get the right shapes and shadows.
This beast here was going to be a part of my Inktober 2016 work, but then I decided that it would be cool to have a stippled background... which means that I finished it about three months after. Stippling is a pain in the ass my friends. I have recovered though. Just means that this piece was the entirety of my Inktober work, and more. I'm pretty satisfied with it though because of the crosshatching on the body of the beast that contrasts with the background stippling. He was actually inspired off of a little lamp that sits on my art desk. I was just looking for simple forms of inspirations and BAm, Light Beast.
A beastie I created for myself and partially for my IB art portfolio. As my first time working seriously in India Ink, I must say, it was quite an entertaining little beast. Hard to get used to holding the pens tho. They're so different from what I'm used to. Also, I just started working in Medibang Paint Pro, so if any of you have tips on how to crop an image, and how to create a watermark without having to make the watermark as a brush first (because there is a size limit to the brushes) I would greatly appreciate it. I plan on switching over to Photoshop soon, but as of this moment, Medibang is the free option so Imma stick to that for a while.
