Rewrite The Stars~ // Oc x Canon Artwork
I decided to work on developing my imp character, Harlequin, after watching the newest helluva boss episode.
Harlequin is an imp who specializes in aerial stunts, skills, and performances, that be from silks, hoops, etc. Because of this fact (and the fact I decided to rewatch the "Rewrite the Stars" song from the greatest showman-) I decided to create this piece!
.... Yes I ship Harlequin and Blitzo- It just makes sense to me.

On the stolitz breakup...
What a beautiful scene. What a long time coming. THIS is what I've been begging Viv for over a year for. We can see just how flawed they both are in this scene.
Blitz, for lashing out without trying to understand Stolas' intentions, for inadvertently mocking him for his feelings, for sticking his head in the ground and refusing to listen.
Stolas, for attempting to rush a confession out of Blitz (regardless of how well-intentioned). For not considering how confusing this may have been for him, for springing this on him so quickly and expecting a smooth sailing ride. He knows Blitz better than that.
Ive been critical of how the show has handled their dynamic since the beginning of season 2, I'm happy that they have finally taken the steps to breaking this couple down at their seams and re-building them. Its what they need.

Absolute fantastic episode. Best of the season and one of the best episodes of the show period.
Fizz and Ozzie have such a sweet relationship oh my god? Viv chose wholesome and i didnt expect her to go down that route

STOLAS STOLAS STOLAS! Even if it wasnt much we got to see Stolas doing something he enjoys just out of the kindness of his heart. He didnt need to do that for Ozzie and he did, and he was so happy for them it made me cheese like an idiot.
ANIMATION WAS BEAUTIFUL. GORGEOUS.

There are many issues with Helluva boss ( the treatment of ALL the female characters, Moxxie abuse, hell, all the bullshit Spindelhorse drama) but to say that Stolas is the worst aspect of this show is laughable. Like he starts off as a character that I can completely understand why people dislike, but he grows beyond that, Stolas has issues (his obliviousness mainly) but if cheating is what you deem to be the worst thing anybody could ever do in a show where murder is childsplay then you need new priorities idk

Stolas and Blitz were always the main couple, if ur mad because you want more m&m ( the already established het couple) or you want fanservice for your fav personal ship like Verosika and Blitz (broken up) or Asmodeous and Fizz ( two antagonists) thats tough because thats a you problem LMFAO

The first time they met in decades and they start it off with tied up rough out of pocket sex. He got 1 bite to the neck and had the best nut of his life LMFAO its like Stolas is going through a second puberty in regards to his relationship with Blitz.

He acknowledged Blitz aint happy with their current arrangement, yall good now? damn.

I find it difficult to express, despite how much I think the show itself fumbles the bag and has pacing issues that can’t be fixed, just how GOOD and character Blitzø is.
To see just how much of his personality that was meant for laughs from the first episode is deeply steeped in trauma - the fixation on his employees and their happiness as he tries to wriggle into their already stable joy rather than make any of his own because he thinks he’ll fuck it up-
The overly doting temperament to an adult daughter who abuses him constantly because of a desperate need to save SOMEONE and projection of his own struggles because he would have wanted to be loved like he loves her-
The struggle of seeing Stolas as anything but another fuck using him because that is how he was using Stolas, and the inability to make genuine connection and see past his own biases-
His hyper sexual, overly loud personality being a cope to not sit with himself for too long, basically making his life choices “either self destruct or die”-
His desperate tries and keeping what he considers family together and how he continues to fuck up-
And really I could probably go more into depth at a different time. I feel like the show constantly trips and stumbles but then falls directly into the “make Blitzo one of the most interesting animated characters “ pool
Little bit of my rewrite here...
But what if instead of Stolitz we got Stolas who was an actual villain and Blitzo x Striker. Blitzo hates Stolas but has to keep allowing his abuse (there's no SA in my rewrite) due to him and his workers being poor + he has to take care of a child (Loona is 13). In the Harvest Moon Festival Striker and Blitzo obviously had chemistry. Blitzo was considering joining Striker but ultimately chose not to due to the negative repercussions from Stolas, plus the whole needing to pay Moxxie and Millie. yada yada they stop him he gets away and at this point they're only lingering thoughts in each other's head. Maybe it keeps Blitzo up at night wondering what would have happened if he went with Strikers offer. In Western Energy, obviously we're giving Striker more of a threatening aura. This time it isn't Stella who hired Striker because Striker doesn't accept assassinations from royals. It was probably one of Stolas's imps or another wronged imp. In the end the assassination doesn't get called off, he doesn't live in a cave he lives in an abandoned train that's super cool looking and not totally sad. He also doesn't take Stolas to said train he does in fact go to a cave except he just leaves him tied and doesn't keep him on the tracks. Also there's no statue and no sexual jokes.
Anywayyysss.. he gets close to killing Stolas, he mentions Stella and Octavia and Stolas has a moment of realization though it's a hint too late as he practically ruined his relationship with both of them already. Anyways, Blitzo sends Moxxie and Millie to save him, they do. Striker is confused because he's basically saving Blitzo and yet he's being stopped??? In Oops, Striker is surprised to see that he had not only kidnapped Fizz but he kidnapped Blitzo too. Fizz and Blitzo do not make up in the end and during the fire of their escape Fizz leaves Blitzo behind to which Striker saves him and gets him out of their, apologizing to him and trying to help him get away before Crimson gets upset and tries to hunt them down.
I don't know if Stolas was still with Asmodeus or not due to Stolas not giving him an Asmodean crystal but if he was maybe we could do angst where Stolas goes after Striker and Blitzo in belief that Striker was stealing him and turns him to stone or something along those lines leading to a super manipulative scene with Blitzo and Stolas where he basically guilt trips Blitzo into coming with him and leaving Striker even more upset and hateful towards Stolas. This could also explain why Blitzo saw Striker in Truth Seekers.

How I personally hope the show (Helluva Boss) will go but knows it won’t.
Blitzo realizes how pointless it is to chase after Stolas and ends up giving up.
Octavia and Stella have a bonding moment showing Stella isn’t the complete dick everyone thought she was bc my girl needs more character.
Stolas gets left alone and is given some time to think about how his actions as a prince affects other people.
Verosika and Blitzo become friends again (pls pls pls)
Blitzo, instead of focusing on a relationship that ultimately is terrible, focuses on building his bonds with M & M and Loona along with building his company. (Also he cuts ties with Stolas)
Asmodeus and Fizz are silly and sometimes pop in to say hi to Blitzo.
Andrealphus and Vassago are cool and scold Stolas bc he was bad also Stella gives up trying to kill Stolas now that he’s being scolded and finds a wife that actually loves her bc omg I feel so bad for her.
