This collaboration is my favourite so far! Chuuya looks so badass and fancy, Kouyou is an absolute queen and somehow Odasaku looks elegant while still keeping his scruffy charm
The Day I Picked Up Dazai
Words cannot explain how much I love this mini-Light novel. I had a lot of favorite parts while reading it, but this moment was one of the things that made me laugh the most :D (i mean the entire scene is just Dazai being a pathetic sixteen year old so-)
(P.S. GUYS AMANITA IS A TOADSTOOL. THESE ARE POISONOUS. I'm pretty sure popopretty DID mention this BUT JUST IN CASE I'LL SAY IT AGAIN)
Anyway I decided to draw a short comic for this part U-U

I think we as society don't talk enough about the lupin trio and how much they affect Dazai's life.
imagine having found the strength to change your life at such young age from black to white because of the last wish of a friend and to forgive (or rather,gloss over it without too much rancor) the betrayal of another one.

I love how in Bungou stray dogs, the kindest characters are the ones with the most destructive rage.
In the Port Mafia, Dazai gave a warning. "You'd be better off not angering Odasaku, ever.
If he were to become angry from the bottom of his heart, everyone in this room would he dead. Before any of us could even draw our guns."
And everyone in Yokohama knows you must never anger Kenji.

dazai fidgets a bunch, and you can usually tell who he feels close to based on who it is he fidgets . . . with.
he would mess with odasaku and ango's glasses at the bar, grabs kunikida's shoulders and arms and messes with the fabric of his clothes, plays around with atsushi's hair, and messes with just about every bit of chuuya. his hands, his gloves (on more than one occasion he's managed to slip one off and marvel at the ridiculous softness of his skin), his hair, his sleeves, (his face)
the only people to have reciprocated this are oda and chuuya. oda would mess with dazai's hair in the same way the latter now does atsushi's. chuuya would mess with dazai's hands during meetings, sometimes fidgeting as well with the topmost layer of his bandages.
just. dazai not knowing jackshit about normal physical touch and getting his fill in whatever lame ways he can

Dazai: You're wearing make-up???
Chuuya: Oh, it's just eyeliner. Do you like it?
Dazai:
Dazai: No it looks stupid...
*some moments later*
Dazai, sobbing into Odasaku's shoulder: It looked so good!!!
Odasaku: I know.
Dazai: I'm so gay...
Odasaku: *sighs* I know...
Dazai: Chuuya is mad at me and I don’t even know why.
Odasaku: Were you talking before he got mad?
Dazai: Yeah.
Odasaku: That’s probably why.
Au skk where oda doesn't die though time travel that chuuya did.
The thing that saved him? Chuuya meeting him and becoming friends that's it. That's all it took.
(Explaining how this would work below)
So chuuya hates having anyone leaving him with this in mind. I see two possibilities
#1 chuuya being the caring and loyal person he is, starts taking care of the kids thus preventing the child filled van bomb obviously preventing everything.
#2 the kids die cause chuuya doesn't get close to them or something, and when dazai tells chuuya about oda's plan.
Chuuya just goes: fuck that.
And destroys that fucking guy. Afterwards chuuya talks to oda and basically goes: you're a asshole, do you even think about what would happen if you died? Fuck you. Ask for help next time...
What happens after this happens idk yet so you can decide!
Why dazai never bothered to leave the mafia before oda died: Dazai never doubted his place in the mafia, because from a young age (as soon as his talents were found out) he was always told he was smart and his blood is mafia black and that he belonged to the mafia. He never knew any different. He was never told anything different before oda told him that he could be good and that he should save people, that's where he got the idea that, yes, maybe he doesn't belong in the mafia.
Just really feeling that emotional manipulation yk.
(This is very much playing into my personal hc of dazais origins but could also be taken just in general)
this is supposed to take place right after oda died and dazai left the mafia, the song was honestly just playing on loop in my head and i read the comments on the official music video and decided i wanted to draw something that symbolises dazai letting go of the pm and mori´s manipulation. i hope this makes sense lmao-

I had a different idea in the beginning but this turned into current BSD Dazai seeing Beast Oda, and obviously he would be a very sad fella and feel betrayed.
