I find it interesting when people say to be who you really are instead of who you think you're supposed to be. In theory its a good slogan for avoiding toxic expectations but in practice I am not a good person. I'm mean and insensitive and it's messy trying to be around people when no one wants to talk to you. My family has told me way too many times that they can't talk to me because of the way I'm like. Sometimes change is good. Its okay to be who you want ti be rather than who you are in that sense.

Nightmare should absolutely know about age despite not aging like everybody else.
I don't imagine age to be a new concept to Nightmare or even Dream. They lived under a tree for most of their lives, sure. But its not like everybody else didn't age in Dreamtale. I like to think that the brothers dealt with this information very differently from each other, especially around the thought of death. There must of been a time where the guardians thought that they age just like the villagers only to watch and learn that they in fact, do not.
Nightmare has never feared death (mainly because he doesn't fear.) until he met you. He doesn't fear death because it might take him one day, but because soon enough it’ll take you.
