I see alot of hate about this season, but I thought it was a great season. Just think of it: The fight scenes were more exciting, I really enjoyed Honerva’s backstory along with her motivation, Lance finally has love and I’m happy for him even though I ship plance, more Slav momments, Hunk being a cinnamon roll with his cooking, more pidge momments, ARE THOSE HIGH HEELS ON THE ATLAS, Earth turning into a new Atea, the paladins meeting the paladins of old, HANDSOME ZARKON YO, Keith and Lance bonding, and the paladins older designs.
I do have negatives about this season though. Some characters looked as if they were about to die but oh, praise the Lord! Something just swooped in and saved them. There weren’t as much Pidge and Lance momments in this season. It’s like they stopped hanging out with each other right as Allura and Lance started dating, but that is understandable. Gotta let the lovebirds be together, but that brings me onto the end of the season. All season I predicted out of no where that Allura would die as a joke with brother. Now we come to the end of the season and HERE WE ARE. That leaves Lance alone. Speaking of Lance, I personally have a mix of feelings for the conclusion the writers gave Lance. A farm sorta makes sense, but I don’t see Lance as the type to hold onto something for too long, but maybe that’s just me. I dont hate his ending though. I kinda liked it tbh. Shiro got married to a stranger (and I though it was Adam, but nah google crushed my hopes) and that’s kinda cool and all, but I wish they would’ve done something different cause it felt kinda off for me.
Wowee. That sure is alot of negatives there, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I downright despised this season. Overall, I loved this season. I left this show feeling at peace. I like how they gave us conclusions to the characters. Now we can have fix-it fics, more paladin OC’s, fan art of the aged up paladins, and more. I’m glad that Lance didn’t end up being with anyone for the ending of the series. If that happend, there’d be so much discourse in this fandom. Now stay strong guys, keep on shipping, making fan art, and fanfics! Let’s keep this show alive even after its gone.
