A chickadee fluttering around the suet feeder! This individual seemed quite reluctant to use its right foot, possibly due to an injury. Despite that, it was able to perch upright and on the feeder bars fine after a bit of adjusting. The chickadees are always very bold, and even injured this one is no exception!

A small friend enjoying an equally small seed. The buds on the japanese maple make pictures in it look much more lively! Once it has leaves, the birds will be much harder to find within the sea of red. For now, however, I get to enjoy them in plain sight!

Nobody was very brave today aside from a couple robins and a mockingbird that gave me the stink eye. These chickadees chased each other around a good distance from me, though! Along with downy woodpeckers, they're usually the bravest around people, at least at bird feeders!
