Cho Chang Bashing - Blog Posts

As the the third tasked arrived Cho had started to notice that Potter and Cedric seemed to have become closer and closer. It made her stomach twist in unbearable knots and fury rage through her. She had to watch in undetected anguish as Potter and Cedric had walked hand in hand to the entrance to the maze and bid each other a good luck kiss. She felt like throwing up at the mere sight. The first spark of red lights had appeared and she had a hope flourish in her that Potter had given up or was horribly hurt beyond repair. But it had turned out to be Delacour. Then, a second flourish of hope appeared with another string of red lights, it was quickly crushed as it was Krum. That had left her dear Cedric against that chit, Potter. Some time had passed by until suddenly Cedric and Potter appeared in front of them. Only something was wrong with Potter. The sight of seeing Cedric holding Potter against his chest while caressing her head had send painful twist through her but she noticed something was off. Potter ….. she wasn’t moving! And she didn’t look to be breathing. A tidal wave of hope and happiness had taken over, Potter was gone! She was no longer in the way. In an instant Cho had come up with an entire plan to comfort Cedric and be his rock for his mourning of that chit until he would finally look to her with love.

Cedric was crying over Harriet’s body. She couldn’t be gone! He still hasn’t introduced her to his parents properly. He still needed to help her escape from her awful relatives. He still needed to properly apologize for taking Cho Chang to the ball instead of her. He still hasn’t told her how absolutely in love he was with her. They had arrived in the graveyard and while on guard he wasn’t really expecting such a disaster to take place. He had heard it too late “Kill the spare!”, he had seen a blast of green light headed towards him as he tried to protect Harri from the unidentifiable voice. But in a moment Harri had shoved him towards the opposite direction and had taken the hit herself. He had to watch as the same voice had shouted order again for him to be restrained and for the rat-like man to haul up his beloved’s body to a tombstone and cut her arm.

He had struggled with all his might until he saw the most horrendous scene unfold. A snake-like man had arisen and it was then that Cedric had realized who it was as He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named appearance was one that everyone in the magical community had learned to fear. A burst of strength surged through him as He-, Voldemort had started to pat and caress Harriet’s face. He had made a dash for her taking her wand and dueling Voldemort. He had faintly heard the Phoenix song play and he saw glowing images of people shoot from the wands connection. Each telling him to win until he saw them. James and Lily Potter, his girlfriend’s parents they had said for him the break the connection and take the portkey but to most importantly to take care of Harriet, much to his confusion.

He did as told and had grabbed the portkey and his young love’s body. And now he sits in front of the crowd sobbing. It wasn’t until someone had tried to take Harri away from him that he had taken notice of his surroundings. He screamed.

“Nooo, you can’t take her away please! I can’t leave her! Don’t touch her!”, he couldn’t abandon her not now. The suddenly a loud gasp had escaped from Harriet, and then came a sputtering of coughs. She was alive! “Oh thank Merlin!”, Cedric proclaimed after getting over the shock then proceeded to check her over seeing if anything could be a fatal wound and to be sure she was real. “Don’t ever scare me like that again!”, he said just to express how much anguish he was in, in the few minutes she had not been amongst the living.

“I’ll try not to, Ced.”, Harri replied a bit hoarsely. Afterwards he had pulled her into a bruising kiss, that she would later blush at but was cut off short by a shrill scream. From the stands arose Cho Chang ,a fifth-year Ravenclaw that Cedric had taken to the ball. Was she freaked out by her supposed corpse coming back to life?

“NO! Why didn’t you stay dead ?!?” She exclaimed before she had tried to run towards the surrounded couple with her wand drawn, only to be stopped by Bill and Charlie Weasley. She was still thrashing. Why hadn’t that chit Potter just stayed dead ?! She had to just go and do the impossible again, to ruin any chance that she could have with Cedric. She had caused tears to pour from his eyes, and she’ll be damned before letting that hussy get away with it and still be alive.

The couple looked in her direction startled. It soon turned to terrified and shock glances as Cho had started to proclaim her undying love for Cedric and swearing that they would be together as soon as she got rid of Potter. As Cho was being restrained she sobered up just enough to look in Cedric’s direction and see something that had utterly destroyed her. Her Cedric was still holding that abomination Potter to his chest and looking in her direction finally but not in love like she had dreamed but in fear, shock, and disgust. As she threw another death threat at Potter for stealing Cedric away, he had just pulled Potter closer to him. That haunting image was the last thing she saw before the elder Weasley brothers had put her out.

A scene I had in my head for my Harriet x Cedric fanfiction
