A response on a friend's Facebook page to a fundie trying to pick a flight over a single verse because he has a gotcha lined up.

I'm pretty sure you would walk out of my talk too. And a lot sooner.

I don't read the Bible the same way you do. I used to. I used to be a very good fundamentalist and 6 day anti-evolutionist. So I understand where you are coming from. And I empathize with your position. So I’m warning you that what I believe is going to offend you and probably make you think some uncharitable things about me, my relationship with God, and my salvation.

I have no expectation of changing your mind, I’m just sharing what I believe and we are going to have to agree to disagree and live as good neighbors as best we can and discuss things nicely till God sets us both straight in a few decades after you and I have both kicked the bucket.

I am not a gap theorist. I believe, much like CS Lewis seemed to based on some things he said in "The Problem of Pain" that creation stories are meant to communicate deep spiritual truths and they were not meant to communicate historical accuracy or scientific understandings.

Unlike fundamentalist Muslims, I don't believe God dictated the scriptures to a prophet. Unlike fundamentalist Mormons, I don't believe prophets copied scriptures off of golden plates.

I believe that the Jewish scriptures are far more of a team effort.

The Jewish scriptures are the result of imperfect humans trying to hear Holy Spirit's whispers. Being human, they could not hear perfectly and were understanding Holy Spirit through their own cultural lenses and personal experiences/lenses. There is a huge subjective element to the Jewish scriptures as Noah, Abraham, Moses, and the prophets did their best to write/tell their understandings within their very small and isolated worlds.

Genesis did not have Genesis chapter 1 when first put down by Moses.

It only had the Garden creation story that came from Noah.

The creation Week story was written during or soon after Babylon. It does not plagiarize the Babylonian myths as some like to snidely accuse. It uses them like a meme. The meaning is in the differences. Everyone knew the Babylonian myths because they were the main superpower and had been for centuries and would be for centuries more. Using the Babylonian myths seemed a good way to keep their own creation story relevant and understandable for a very long time. The Jews include a huge amount of snide swipes at the Babylonian’s mythology/religion while also communicating the beauty and goodness of God and the goodness and beauty of God’s Creation. Mel Brooks carries on that tradition.

So for most of events in the Bible, the Jewish people only knew the Garden story of how it was all perfect till the snake tempted the woman to sin and the woman then tempted the man to sin too and then God cursed not only the snake and those two humans, but all of their descendants, the animals, the planet and the whole universe to death and suffering. And the sin stories that followed showed how sin ruined everything and that even wiping out all of humanity and starting over didn’t work so God chose Abram and the Jewish people to be God’s special project and that God was a patriarchal suzerain king who demanded perfection to God’s every demand even when it came to murdering your own children. (Or other people’s children who were living in the land God told you you could have.)

What followed was a learning experience lead by the prophets and opposed by the priests/aristocracy to learn how God was different from that and that God really really wanted people to treat each other and even the animals and the land fairly and that caring for the poor and oppressed was the most important thing. While the priests and the rest of the aristocracy and fundamentalists were convinced it was primarily about perfect obedience and worshipping God correctly and within their religion and justice, kindness, and mercy were secondary.

It was not until the priests and aristocracy had their power and wealth stripped from them and were exiled into Babylon that they began to question their understandings without their “promised” land or temple or sacrifices.

When several generations later they were returned to the land their ancestors had lived in, they were a different kind of people. The priests and other aristocrats had lost so much of their wealth and power and pride and were a new people with a better understanding of God. And they wrote a new creation story that focused, not on sin, but on Creation and God’s goodness and generosity. That they lived in a good creation. And that the things other people thought controlled everything were lights and calendars to help them. That the world was full of order and beauty. Even if it wasn’t safe, it was good.

And humans were no longer sinners. They were very good.

And they put this new piece of scripture, not in its own book as you or I might have, but instead they put it at the very beginning of their most important scripture to change the way they read and understood all of their scriptures.

That argument between the Priests/Aristocrats/Fundamentalists vs the Prophets was still going on at the time of Jesus and is still going on today.

I think that if we can let go of our fundamentalist reading and interpretation of the first few chapters of Genesis, and reinterpret things in light of Genesis One as being it’s own little section from a different place/time/context, we will have a much truer understanding of God and, more importantly, God’s heart and the purpose of Jesus and the meaning of Jesus’ death and resurrection. And furthermore we will have a better relationship with God and our neighbors and God’s good Creation.

Sorry not sorry to write so much. But it is a complicated question and a complicated answer and I still only gave you a barebones outline.

To start off, I really appreciate you not being aggressive or trying to find a fault in my words. However, getting an abortion doesn’t really help a woman heal mentally at all. Nearly half of all women who get an abortion regret it later, and a lot of them become seriously depressed. I get how carrying the baby and giving birth to them can cause a lot of stress and pain, but so can an abortion. It’s not very uncommon for a woman to start hemorrhaging from the abortion pill, and don’t even get me started on the other option for an abortion. It’s so sad and horrible for a woman who was raped, though, because it’s a lose-lose situation for her. But, her loss doesn’t have to be severe; there are many places that offer help to women who are thinking about aborting her baby. They can offer mental and physical help, most of them give baby diapers and other needs out for free. Just because you were put in a horrible situation doesn’t mean there’s no one to help you. If you seek help, help will come, and you will be okay again.

Whether a man or woman is transgender, lesbian, bisexual, a satanist, an abortionist, feminist, conservative, republican, billionaire, destitute, agnostic, OnlyFans pornstar, purist, sexist, misogynistic, racist, a witch, a warlock, narcissist, schizophrenic, jewish, muslim, hedonistic, or simply lives by the philosophy of trying to be a good person - their souls were died for on the cross too.

Let our own bitterness and grief be set aside for this fact, that once repentant, they are free of blood guilt. While not all sin is equal, we are all equally wicked and sinful.

And if any man and woman shall lay down their sins and confess them in sorrow and weeping to their recognized Lord and Savior, then their heart confesses itself to belong to Christ. Their soul, Spirit, and body is now His. He forgives them, and they are anew. They are reborn from spiritual death, and live to sin no more.

The old is gone. Their wickedness, their sins, their evils are cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb. Who are we to deny their faith and withhold lovingness and forgiveness for our new brothers and sisters? Heaven declares a joyous celebration for one sheep that was lost, is now found! Should we not revel and shout in praise to God, for one more life has laid down to the salvation of the Cross! Praise be to God, and to the Son of the Almighty who has made it possible for such!

I’m sorry if I came off as malicious, all that I’ve been trying to say is that if you want a baby, go make one and give birth to it. If you don’t want a baby then don’t risk the chance of making one. People cause their own problems and then kill them because they don’t like it, and I think that’s horrific. (Also, what did I say so terribly that you think I should kill myself??? And that someone who wants babies to live is stupid or gonna go attack someone bc they aborted a baby??? Like chill out lol bro)

if you kill a baby inside a pregnant woman just because there’s a small chance that it could be painful, the population would decrease substantially. And, no, you shouldn’t be forced to give organs and blood regularly, because you shouldn’t be having sex and taking a chance at having a baby regularly if you don’t want the baby itself. If you wanna go get pregnant then you should face the consequences and have your baby.

and that’s so horrible that you can KILL that BABY? Because self control was lost, it’s ok to go shed a human being like it’s a piece of trash? After about 5 weeks it’s heart is beating just like yours and mine. That baby could have been the the president of the United States one day, but because you don’t like it being in you until it can exist outside the womb, you kill it. just for existing. that’s sadistic.

Honestly I loved this season of Élite, to me it was better than the first one and, in my opinion, the change in the cast had a big part in that (Valerio!!!). HOWEVER the departure of Christian brought Samuel and Carla together and that was THE low point of the season: it didn't make freaking sense. It was out of nowhere, out of character and incomprehensible: as much as I try, I don't understand their relationship and what made them fall for each other.

What’s something known in Warriors is the buckeye and hate of the clans towards one another and had put me to think. What does God want me to say through my WarriorCat sona in the little stories?

I want to show through my Warriorcat sona that sometimes we are going to face different people in our life. We maybe don’t like that much or even argued before and we feel like people are against us. But our battle is not against the people we are surrounded by, we fight against the enemy and evil spirits we do not see. The moment we understand what our true fight stands for, we can let God help us see the people around us differently, they need help to hear about the Good news, just like we did. But even if they continue to not listen or ridicule you, call you names or we even get beaten up because of our faith in Jesus, remember: Jesus had been in our place, taking our the sins on the cross and had overcome the world. So take heart! Forgive and pray for those who hurt you even if it is hard! And don’t give up!!

I shamefully have to say that I wasn't really able to do a whole lot of artworks for Art Fight even if I wanted to 😐 Its really a shame and I really do want revenge so so many of you guys!! So many talented artists and blessed siblings in Christ!! Was truly a blessing this year and surely didn't deserve so many encouraging words.

What I've learnt however is sometimes we enter these kinds of events even if it is for fun, sometimes we go in with the mentality of gaining something either because we think we deserve it (because of the artwork we did) or because we think it is fair. The thing is, it doesn't matter if we do or not. What is important is what we give, and most importantly if the people around us could see Christ through us.

Is the same with God. We didn't get salvation because we earned it or because we did something, but it is a gift that God has given us through Jesus who died for us. Humble yourself and understand that whatever we achieve or do is all because of God’s goodness.

Anyway, this was such a fun time to draw my ocs once again since this year of college had literally stopped me from doing any kind of personal art, however, I was finally able to rest with God’s help and finish the first year of art school torture 🥲🫡

Maybe some of you might wonder and realize that some of my ocs look… slightly different or the word “slightly” is a bit said*ahem* Let’s just SAY my ocs had gone through a second puberty this year or I did overall with my style too 💀👌🏼✨

I’m just so happy with how much God helped me improve and surely I didn’t realize until I drew my ocs again and saw God’s hand over me, not just through art but maturity as well. Sometimes we need to go through fire and pain to see the mistakes or things that harm us in life and let go in order to get closer to the Lord! Who knows? In what way God can use me and you as well to spread the word of God even in this yearly art challenge?

During a small break in March after a gallon of stress and barely crawling through burnout, for some reason one evening, nostalgia struck me again. I remembered about my love for dinosaurs so I ended up taking some rest from all the stress. I put on some worship and Dino music and got to work. Is quite funny when you like something so much but then you remember that… you’re an artist and can draw it 👁👁

I really don't know why I haven't drawn more dinosaurs growing up but my mom said that surely the passion for these incredible creatures made by God never left me! And thinking about them, how amazing God is. The fact that He even took the time to create me and you after His image. We are wonderful and beautifully made! 🔥🔥🔥

Yep! Is Romania once again, however, these artworks were made somewhat at the beginning of September. I was trying some facial expressions study but to also have some fun!

Despite being sad at times, God allowed things to happen in our history for a reason. If these difficulties didn’t happen, Romania wouldn’t be the way it is today because of the maturity and God’s plan in the process. He would be a completely different person/ country!

I Tennesse more square-like since Tennesse is not as round but rather more like a rectangular form so I wanted to convey that into him while- *ahem* Romania is more rounded but don’t be fooled by his soft look 👁👁💦

Poor boy he’s beyond confused and rather scared for his life…. And then there’s just Romania- 💀🔥✨

As always, it seems I can never stick just to a small doodle and simple render- NO I have to go on FULL-ON ARTWORK Because I always have to do things over the top at least it looks awesome UvU✨

I wanted to represents Romania being mad at America for not giving his people health insurance.

My best friend kept on telling me how bad health insurance is in America and I couldn’t help not to feel awful and mad for What was happening there so I could see Romania being like this towards Americ. Romania would surely try his best to keep the people healthy 🫠🥲

Commission for @spiritualclaymore

About the commission: It's been one of my longest projects so far. However, I can't tell you guys how many times I had to erase and redo the whole rendering :’) It was a true pain I had to go through, but not without a beautiful piece and achieving important things.

Despite learning to render rocks, bricks, grass and fur, God has taught me and still does teach me patience with myself and perseverance/ dedication. It's been so many times when I would try to serve God without flaw and every time I failed I felt disgusted with myself. Despite the insecurities and doubts, God reminded me every time that change takes time and dedication to remain in Him. It's a process that might be disliked or even hated because of the pain and discipline. However, His test of my faith not only showed the areas where God wants to work in my heart, but the more I realized how much I needed Him and how wonderful my Father is.

I still struggle and go through a time of testing and resisting distractions. I know it is a test and God wants me to continue praising Him, and seek Him even when I don't feel Him. So, if you guys can, please pray for me to continue to grow my fire and love for Christ and resist distractions and temptations. I know in Jesus I can do it!

If you guys know Cloumello, maybe you remember that now YEARS ago when I was just a tiny tinNy Lad- (I know im still SMALL DONT MENTION IT👁👁 ) she drew Romania, but as a GuRl and- umm ofc based on stereotypes a vampire too-

I really wanted to see how Romania would look into her new style so this was a lot of fun and tell ya what!!! This is INSANE!! I know I was the one doing this challenge but dang- ARGHHHH!!! He looks so so cool! 🔥🥹✨

2nd slide @germany_f.m : WELL-

This was so interesting to work with, sadly I didn't really have all the brushes needed to give a good watercolour look to it but I really tried my best to give that look with the brushes that I already had!! This was a big shift in style but was great to try it! The lines have a slight squiggly to them almost giving the vibe that the line art is not well made!! Is a fun stylet do I really liked working on this!! JUST THE STYLE MAKES ROMANIA LOOK SO GOOFY!!🇷🇴🔥✨ xD

3rd style @btanimator : WOO MAN!! This was so so interesting and oh man I had so much fun doing this style!! Tho I kinda had a hard time deciding what kind of shading to go on… like a very simple one?? Or just go full on from 0 to 100 🫡 Well I kinda went with one from in between and MAN I didn't expect Romania to look so cool in this style!! Idk if BTanimator ever drew Romania but HEY if Not IM VERY CURIOUS TO SEE HER REACTION TO THE TRUE REPRESENTATION 👁👁⚡️🔥✨

So, this post was supposed to be up on 29 June, my 19th birthday, but you know what- the party never truly ends! 🥳

And yet, here I am, embracing the official title of being a 19-year-old! 🙌

It's mind really mind blowing how fast time fliesby , isn't it? I still cannot comprehend the fact that I am- ME?! 19?! It just felt like yesterday I was 16… feel old yet? Haha!

Now, let put the joking aside as looking back to all the incredible memories, I want to thank all the people in Christ that have shaped me teach me Gods word, to thank my friends who have filled my life with laughter and love, and most importantly, a huge thank you to My Father for He guiding me through it all! He's such a wonderful Father and dad to me and all I can say is sit here and cry with Joy to know that even if I went through so much pain he never turned his back on me!! 🙏 Without these amazing people and God by my side, life wouldn't be as meaningful!!

Even though good and bad, I want to cherish every second of this brand new year in my life and make it a chapter together hand in hand with God, my two best, the Freakin Nugget and Peanutbutter, family, friends, that will be remembereda years pass by! But just to see how God is working even in the things that you do not expect is so amazing!! What I mean is that God worked in such a way that the design I made for Romania will be the official design and representation of my country!! Is that so crazy!!? GOD IS SO GOOD AND AMAZING!! For those who do not know the design I did for Romania was chosen as an official representation and mascot of my country for the Erasmus meeting!! I'm So grateful for it! I was inspired by my Bff(@artsymapleleaf), Luna, and even seeing other wonderful artists (such as @louixie ) doing a warrior cat self insert and in the end, I decided like- WHY NoT! SO HERE IS ME AS A CAT IN THE WARRIOR CAT UNIVERSE!

I really Can't believe I have finally finished it! EHHHH I’M SO SO HAPPY WITH THE RESULT!! Bless the Lord for giving me the opportunity to make this! 😱✨

As a Cat, I would be called PatternWing because of my unnatural markings and of course the wings! Even tho the books are not Christian, as a cat I would still be a warrior for the Lord! Tho maybe now you're wondering, how in the world do you even have wings?! Well- by receiving the Holy Spirit I was given wings to fly ( to also stay true to how I am as a hybrid xD) - Tho for anyone who would like to draw me the wings can be optional! ✨🌸🔥

This is still a concept design! Is not done yet but when I have time and God allows me I'll surely make an official design!

Well, long time no see guys! Truly I haven't posted in a long LONG time but- what can you do when you get so busy with school and you have the last exam before college :’D But God is still faithful and will help me get through this!

For a while, I had this idea to try again and see if I could draw myself in an anime style! This time I kinda went with the flow of combining my own style with anime and well- 👀…👁️👁️✨I impressed myself!

I was always pretty bad at drawing anime in the past to my surprise but learning and growing more in the blessing that God had put in me + even having fun by trying new things had let me see how different God had created us and yet we have the best artist! Which is the Lord! 🤍✨

For now, I guess- THIS IS A FACE REVEAL(this is the first try at actually creating my own anime style) but is very similar to how I look irl! Now with this anime style, I didn't try to look too cartoony yet also true to my character and add that spark every artist has in their own art style! Hope you guys like it >v<

So no matter what art style you have, don't be afraid to use it sister or brother in Christ for what God is calling you to do! I've been meaning to do this for so long and God has helped me to finally finish the true representation of my dear Country Romania!! There was digging and lots of studying working into this while also learning my Country's history for the final exam which helped me in making this design!!

Glory to the Lord!! I've been able to show my respect and love for the country that God had placed me in!! There is no coincidence and I'm glad that God keeps my country to continue on being a Christian country where we are still able to bless and Praise Him!! Before making this decision on drawing my Country there have been talking with others from my country and decided it is best to show the true representation of our country!! There have been a lot of disgusting and unbelievable lies about who we are and we are not the only ones who have been ridiculed by the fandom called “Country Humans”!

We do understand that it is somewhat shown love towards us and others… but it really went over the line! We've been spat on by so many “fan arts”, called vampires or thieves… Now is the time to stop this stereotype and immense lies upon us and other countries!!
