Howleen Wolf's hair controversy and my thoughts:

I always figured that Howleen's redesign was some kind of character development that was being shown physically. The last time I saw her she was acting childish and her outfit was messy, in a way that made her look like she was on Nickelodeon or Disney (she was so me). It made her look like she wasn't on par with the others, which would make sense because she's a side character that pops up every now and then, but there are minor characters whose designs have been given that Monster High runway fashion, and we don't see that with Howleen.

The new design was like a sign that she was ready to embrace maturity, and wear her style in a way that didn't look like it was all over the place. Ready to step out of her sister's shadow and make a name for herself. You can see that she's still an artist, she's just ready to grow up (she gave me graffiti vibes even though I never saw her with a spray can). We can see that she's still Howleen with the fish net tights, the paw prints, and her head being covered. She also gives me 'Rihanna' vibes, and I see that with both designs. I can't explain, but if you get it then you get it.

The new hairstyle suited her, and I honestly thought it was weave/a wig. I'm not sure if this is common with African American families since I'm British, but in my family it's expected that your hair must always be well taken care of and nicely done once you're old enough to take care of it yourself. That includes wearing weave, since it's much easier instead of constantly braiding or doing something other with your natural curls. I never understood why people had a problem with the hair change, since weave is very common within the black community. Her skin was also made darker for some reason, so it's not like they completely white washed her either.

did monster high ever use Lake Eerie as a name for Lake Erie?? that is such a missed opportunity

Valentine would be TERRIFIED. He would go all out to prepare and would spend hours planning his outfit (and a back-up outfit), he’d make his best recipes, and would do everything he possibly could to make a perfect impression.

They would meet right after sunset, right when Helios gets off-duty so that they can talk for as long as possible before he needs to leave again.

Helios would gab and go on and on about Spelldon growing up (he’d definitely be the kind of person to show off baby pictures). He’d tell story after story and Kieran is just sitting there stiffly, hands folded in his lap, smiling awkwardly while he listens.

By the time sunrise comes around, Valentine would have said a total of 10 words, and Helios would love him.

Torelai wasn’t attacked by the witches in France because she’s a monster it was because she’s British

Valentine is actually really good at painting. He loves oil paints and he paints delicate, calm landscapes. He hides them in a room in his house where his mother doesn’t go.

Spelldon’s hands shake too much to hold the brush. But he is a sketcher through and through and makes thick, messy graphite lines look sharp and elegant. He can’t draw anything but people, and Valentine is his favorite muse

Since casta seems to be the competent cauldronello sibling in the movie I really want to see them call back to her stage name from g1

Like if after her fight with deuce and Heath they tell clawdeen like “oh while you’re looking around be careful for the witch girl; casta’s fierce” or something like that

Okay so I think casta is the one fighting Heath and deuce, and Spelldon is the one dealing with Torelai SO

i think it’s super funny that Spelldon is getting absolutely destroyed by Torelai, while casta is winning against a gorgon and a guy throwing fireballs

So I know they’ve released a few real names for the second live action movie characters BUT

Ellis is the only one who doesn’t have a last name. He’s just referred to as Ellis.

I know Draculaura doesn’t either but we know Zamara is his mother and Zamara has a last name so why wouldn’t he?

I think it’s a fake name he uses IN the movie and how he’s introduced and everything but I don’t think it’s his real name
