The reason I drew this (exactly a year ago today) was a nightmare I had back then. Everyone Koujaku even remotely cared about had died in this dream, and he blamed it all on himself.
He felt so empty inside, he couldn’t do a thing anymore, he could barely get out of bed, kept the curtains and windows closed at all times. The only reason he was still alive, was because he couldn’t even care enough to die anymore. And, because somewhere in all this mess, Mink was there. I don’t know why, he didn’t say a word in the whole dream, but he took Koujaku with him, to someplace far from Midorijima and he held onto him.
For Koujaku, it was all that was left.

i didn't even ship minkou back then
i only started a while after this dream
it was so bad it felt so real
literally everyone was dead
everyone from benishigure
clear and noiz too
as if koujaku didn't have enough guilt on him already
i don't know what happened so i have no other choice than to actually believe it really was koujakus fault
or rather my fault it was first person perspective too
i'm still not really sure where the dream came from ...
then again that's a pretty typical nightmare for me
not being able to protect those i care for is my number 1 nightmare material
followed by hurting those same people
but usually i am myself in those dreams
poor koujaku he didn't deserve this
