"Hell’s Hounds"

“Hell Hounds,” Dazai said. “We’ll be the Hell Hounds."

He wrote it in bold, chalk letters across the top of the blackboard.

Then, he paused. "Well, you’re the Hell Hounds. I’m just...”

“Hell,” Ron supplied unhelpfully.

Instead of pulling a face, like Ron probably expected, Dazai beamed. “You’re right! It’s more like ‘Hell’s Hounds’ then, isn’t it? With an apostrophe.”

In the small space between the word Hell and Hounds, Dazai drew in a tiny 's. He had to write it crooked to make it fit.

Hell's Hounds, it read proudly.

“Hell’s Hounds gang...” Hermione tasted the name on her tongue. “It’s a bit dark, though?”

“It has a nice ring to it,” the twins cheered, “Hell’s Hounds!”

Hell’s Hounds... Dazai could agree it had a certain charm to it. A little threatening, a little rebellious. Just the right name for a mafioso’s gang of schoolchildren.

but, do you REALLY know what industrial music is about? do you REALLY know where it comes from? do you know why the black clothes and wrenches and grimy factories and medical imagery? do you understand where that actually comes from? do you know who (and what) "breyer p-orridge" was? do you understand why coil were singing "bury me in Ostia?" why douglas p. started wearing wehrmacht camo and called his album "brown book?" were you aware that it was started by a bunch of gay and trans people, who started plumbing the absolute depths, embracing literal evil and death because that's all that was left for them? because they were getting beaten in the streets and their friends were dying of aids? have you ever gone deeper than a rivethead playlist on youtube?

imagine being an adoring fan of a groundbreaking experimental artist and seeing a picture of him on the record and getting the innate sense that somehow, you two would spend your life together. and you turn out to be right. and you two create Coil together
