I just realized this dude was studying Mega-evolution the entire time in Black/White, and Black/White 2. It explains his hair for starters, and also his constant talk about trying to achieve a Pokemon’s greatest power, and in the end realizing that through bonding with them is what makes them stronger, and only seeing that through a scientific pov, and not an emotional pov shows how he truly sticks to his own IDEALS, and TRUTHS.
