Day 20: Sick
@octogoblinoctober
Sick
"Come on, Otto. Ill people shouldn't go to work." Norman said and followed his husband through their apartment. "It's just a cold, I'll be fine."
The former Green Goblin sighed and considered clinging on the scientist to keep him from leaving but then a better thought crossed his mind.
"What if I'd say I need you here, with me." he asked and looked up at the taller man. "What for, Darling?" Otto seemed interested which made Norman happy but he hid his smile.
"Not that the Goblin shows up and threatens me again, I-I really didn't sleep well the night, and, and..." he explained, sounding like he was in distress.
Otto eyed him with a soft smile and put his suitcase down. "Fine, fine, Dear, you got me." Norman's smile widened and he clung onto his husband. "I'll go and cook you some herbal tea then." he said cheerfully and went into the kitchen. The taller man's eyes followed him and he shook his head smiling. //This man will be my end one day...// he thought and took his coat and shoes off again.
When he entered their little kitchen that was directly leading into the huger living room, he saw Norman, waiting for the water to cook. On the kitchen island there already was a huge cup with a bag of tea in it. Otto just smiled again and watched him for a while until his husband recognized him.
"Ill people belong in a bed or on a sofa. Would you be so kind and go there?" Norman ordered resolute. The taller man almost grinned but followed the friendly meant order.
On the couch he took one of the soft blankets and threw it over his body. He placed his head on a pillow but his actuators chirped and freed themselves from the fabric, watching Norman with quiet whirring.
The former CEO came to them and their owner just a few minutes later, the huge, steaming cup in his hands. "You have to drink it when it's hot. Only then it'll have any effect." he lectured his husband and sat down opposite of him in an arm chair. Otto sat up and carefully took the cup into his hands.
"Thanks, my Love. It's really kind of you to take care of me. I love you so much."
Norman flushed at the statement and smiled his lovely smile, showing his crooked teeth, knowing Otto would never judge him for that.
"I love you too, Honey. But please, stay with me the next time you are ill, without me doing anything to make you stay." he answered, not able to stop smiling.
Day 18+19:
Good/Bad Ending
@octogoblinoctober
Good/Bad Ending
His whole body hurt, he had trouble seeing straight and all he knew that he terribly missed someone. Otto Octavius to be exact.
He just had wanted to apologize for his mistakes toward his former head scientist but now he lay here, in a lonely alleyway.
But let's start this from the very beginning, Norman Osborn's regrets after the fight he had had with Otto.
And another glass of whiskey down his burning throat. He knew it wouldn't help his situation, he knew it wouldn't change the fact that he had lost a friendship today. Actually he was sure that he had lost his only friendship today. Otto Octavius had always liked him through all his mistakes but when Norman tried to steal his credit, he'd stepped over an imaginary line.
//It can't just be over... I, I have to apologize... Fuck!// he suddenly thought, stormed to the wardrobe, took one of his expensive coats and ran out in the dark, like a maniac just to find Otto and to apologize for his mistake.
Otto had a lovely apartment in a loveless area. Everything was grey, lonely and kinda sad. Right now he was going through several side streets, hoping he would be out of this in a few minutes.
Suddenly a group of black clothed men came up to him. There were five, tall guys, non of them looked friendly. One came up to Norman.
"If you wanna pass, you have to pay." he said with a russian accent. The CEO looked around, knowing Otto's apartment wasn't far from here. "What if I don't want to pay for your drugs, idiot, mh?" This had been a mistake, the shorter man felt that a few seconds later when a fist hit him in the stomach. Two other guys grabbed a hold of his shoulders and held him up. "You'll pay for that, Schnoz." the russian guy said and punched him another time.
Only after about 20/30 punches they let go of him and left.
Norman didn't know how long he laid there already when a shadow came up to him. The CEO blinked heavily and tried to look up. His face felt absolutely swollen and he himself felt sick. "Osborn ...?" the shadow asked and kneeled down. "Damn .... Osborn... What happened to you?" he added, revealing that he was Otto Octavius. Norman turned his face and looked up as good as he could. "I-I wan'ed o (to) apologiesch (apologize)...." Otto obviously tried to keep the anger out of his features, as he gently tried to help his former friend up.
For the first few steps that actually worked but then Norman suddenly stumbled and fell. "I-I don't f-feel so-o good..." "Okay, okay... Relax... We'll just take a little break here and when you feel better I'll bring you in my apartment, yeah?" Otto suggested and squatted down next to him.
Good Ending:
Norman nodded and leaned back a little. "M-my stomac'.... hurtsz (hurts)..." he whimpered and tried to find a position in which his head wouldn't throb so badly. "May I look at it? Just to pay safe."
The CEO looked up and nodded again. Otto smiled and opened his dirtied dress shirt to examine his stomach. Huge, blue, violet, red bruises were revealed under the silky fabric. The scientist gulped and gently touched them. They were hardened and Norman flinched as he touched them. "Do you feel dizzy or lightheaded?" "Jus' (Just) a lil'..." he answered slurring and made eye contact. Otto swallowed again and searched for the other's pulse, which was rapid. //Damn... Not good. I have to do something.// The taller man took a deep breath and squatted next to him. "You won't like that much but I'll lift you up now and drive with you in a hospital." Norman lifted a brow. "C'mon... I don' need a doctor..." he slurred but was to weak to fight back when Otto actually lifted him up and sat him into his small car.
"Please try to stay awake." Without closer explanation he drove to the closest hospital and made a call on his way there.
>Hello? My name is Otto Octavius and I'm currently on the way to the hospital. I have someone with me who has internal bleedings. It's really important.<
>Ok. Thank you, we'll be there in a few minutes.<
Otto hung up and drove faster until he arrived in front of the ER.
There, two nurses were already waiting for them. One had a wheelchair with her. Otto didn't waste much time, lifting Norman who only protested quietly, out of the car and put him in the wheelchair. One nurse immediately took him to the emergency room, while the other stayed with Otto.
"It's good that someone like Norman Osborn has such good friends. If your suspicions are confirmed, you probably saved his life..." she said and turned to leave. Otto smiled and drove home to his Rosie.
In the end Norman survived the internal bleedings but never came to thank Otto because his former head scientist avoided him as much as possible.
Bad Ending:
Norman nodded and leaned back a little. "M-my stomac'.... hurtsz (hurts)..." he whimpered and tried to find a position in which his head wouldn't throb so badly. "May I look at it? Just to pay safe." The shorter man just nodded again, more slightly this time. Otto carefully opened Osborn's shirt and froze. Most of the other man's stomach was violet, blue or red. Everything of the bruise indicated internal bleedings besides the fact that his counter part was short of breath, with a rapid heartbeat and as pale as a wall. //This is bad...// Otto thought and grabbed his phone. Norman looked at him with confused, anxious eyes. "No, no. Don't worry, you'll be fine. I just have to make a call, ok?" The CEO nodded and tried to catch his breath. He felt dizzy and lightheaded, hardly overhearing the call Otto made.
>Yeah hello, my name is Otto Octavius. I need an ambulance.<
>I found a friend of mine in the ...avenue... I think he has internal bleedings. He has a rapid heartbeat, is pale, has bad bruises around his stomach area. Everything is hardened there. He is very short of breath.<
>We are in a back alley.<
Norman looked at the taller man, watching him how he put his phone away. "I feel tired... Do you think... we coul' wait a lil' longa...?" he asked slurring a few words. Otto looked at him with sympathy and sat down next to him. "Sure. Help will be here in a few minutes. Just stay awake ok?" The CEO tried to nod and blinked to stay awake. He felt incredibly tired. "I-I'm sorry, Otto... For every...thin'..." he suddenly whispered and made eye contact with Otto. "What is that supposed to mean, Norman? It's fine, you'll be fine, ok?!" The dark-honey-blond haired man heard the desperation in his former friend's voice. "For you it'll be fine ... Thank you... For staying... By my side..." he stammered, his voice breaking and faltering all the time. Octavius stared at him with huge, blown eyes. He heard how Norman's breath weakened. "No, no! Stay awake, come on. Help will be there in a minute... Come on!" Norman looked deep into those dark, chocolate brown eyes and lost himself in them as he breathed out shallowly. Everything was swimming, slowly turning white than black. It felt like falling asleep and then it was over.
"Norman? Hey! Don't kid with me! Would you please blink. Come on! Wake up!" Otto grabbed his shoulders and shook him gently. "Norman?! NORMAN!" In the background he could hear the sirens of the ambulance but it started to blur softly when he understood that Norman was gone.
