I like to think that all of the batboys are, in some way, scholars in one particular field*. So I've compiled a list of the areas the batboys are the most knowledgeable about:

Richard: math, musical history, anatomy

Jason: classics, ancient history, theology

Tim: anthropology, photography, textiles

Duke: physical sciences, architecture

Damian: art history, zoology, black-smithing

*For clarification, all my knowledge of the DCU is from the Young Justice TV series, the CW Flash, wikis, and other DC fans. Please correct me if I'm wrong about something.

Studying (reading) my tomes (comic books) to expand my esoteric knowledge of the universe (Batman lore) so that I can form my own ideology (put my blorbos in situations)

I saw fanfic in which Jon,damien,billy are friends (damien stalked captain Marcel and found out billy,3 months of hanging out damien brings Jon in the loop) and then I saw a headcon about y/n being Jonh constantein daughter so imagine damien,Jon,billy are fed up by overly strict laws of the JLA and for reason they quite then we have Ginny(Jonh's daughter's name by me)who loves annoying Damian,cause why not?join the trio from another secret group many other OC's Jion later on,so this grip basically steals,scam 's bad guys while pretending to be bad guy 's and use the money either for good cause or to grown their Little Blaze they also help refugees aliens by saving them from bad guy and taking them to far way parts of space(which are still undiscovered by other),the point is JLA and LOV dont know who they Are like some people defeat bad guys not only on earth in space too,like how and worst superman can't see the face even with x-ray vision due to a little manic genius mechanic kid in their group. Meanwhile Ginny & group think They are bad guy 's cause. Which heroes loot people (bad ones)?

This is actually a very interesting idea especially if they end up at the same school

i've said before that i love the english teacher jason todd headcanon but a similar one i think is very much overlooked is art teacher damian. in fact, i don't think i've ever seen it before. but i think it would be AWESOME hahaha

damian: *peering over jason's shoudler at grading jason is doing* what is all this? the red marker? jason: *chugging coffee like its a shot* mistakes i have to correct for them damian: *frowns* that is a lot of mistakes. jason: how 'bout you? how'd your students do on their assignment? damian: well, jenn forgot that we'd moved on from abstracts, so her landscape appears as if it has stepped foot out of a picasso rather than the monet it should have been, but i have graded her with the abstract scale rather than the realism given that it was a simple mistake. her usage of tones and textures impressed me, and while the expressionism and irrealism is slightly off-putting in a landscape, i have found it quite pleasing to the eye. jason: i have no fucking clue what you just said but okay

Imagine them using their civilian personas to do so because atp they honestly dc, and the batfam not knowing till they like go to a restaurant and the manager sees them and welcomes them like "If it isn't our dearests Tim and Damian, why didn't you tell us you were coming? Please come over here, we have an area for special guests we'll make sure nobody disturbs you"

And it's way funnier because f'ing Bruce Wayne is there but the manager doesn't care abt him and everyone is like ???

And the manager remembers smth and is like "Oh right! I forgot to welcome you to T&D's dinner, the best food stablishment in the area" and she seems apologetic to Tim and Damian and is like "I'm sorry we haven't been able to change our name yet, you know how this procedures are blah blah blah" and everyone gets even more confused.

Mind you, Tim and Damian don't even bother to clarify.

And everyone wonders abt that till months later Duke finds an add from them, smth like "T&D professional detectives, you are frightened? We are enlightened"

And there's a photo of Tim and Damian (& Titus with one of Bruce's ties obv to make him look sophisticated) with those horrible glittery frames and a set of all of their successful jobs (obv everything is written with Comic sans because it started as a joke till it wasn't) which include some like...

-Uncovering the Loch Ness Monster

-Beating Dracula in a Chess Game

-Giving Free therapy to Frankenstein

-Making the best sandwich ever created (For Jesus)

-Professional Exorcism

-Preventing a war from happening

And the list goes on and on, with some very questionable ones (like that's not even being a detective anymore) but I mean their job works so...

Bonus points if Bernard was actually included, he not only was the driver but also as Damian puts it a very "Competent" detective, and so when everyone questions them keeping it a secret they're like "But it wasn't a secret? Bernard was also there..." (the only reason he's not in the add being they had already finished it when Bernard became part of the team, hence they were lazy enough no to make another and Bernard is a really chill guy so he didn't mind, he was just happy to be with Tim.)

I AM NOW OBSESSED WITH THE IDEA OF TIM AND DAMIAN DRIVING FROM CITY TO CITY WITH TITUS AND GETTING INTO SHENANIGANS LIKE THE SCOOBY GANG AND HAVING TO SOLVE STUPID MYSTERIES IN EACH NEW CITY

PLEASE IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES

IT WOULD BE GLORIOUS

Tim would be tryna set all sorts of dumb traps and Damian is like “it’s so obvious it’s the underpaid teacher” and they keep a tally of who’s right and whoever is right gets to pick the next city

Also just imagine Damian being called a “meddling kid” Tim would have to hold him back from punching someone

Somehow their adventures lead to them becoming honorary mayors in several towns, getting several keys to cities, and having 5 restaurants and diners named after them, and on one honorable occasion a town made a statue of Titus to commemorate him

That moment when you realize Bruce Wayne’s canon “favorites” aren’t his favorites… their his ideal selfs.

Bruce isn’t a ‘girl dad’ or ‘loves Dick because he’s his eldest’ no. That’s not it. He likes Cassandra because she’s has his exact moral code with little to no differences, she follows it to a tee. He likes Dick because Dick is his perfect version, his ‘success’ the best version of his exact situation. He loves them sure, but he doesn’t favor them because of love. It’s to further his own ego.

This is proved with Jay, to take care of Jay he had to push his own feelings onto Jay. To ‘fix’ him. Jay didn’t need ‘fixing’ or an outlet, he needed compassion, GENUINE compassion. Not self imposed compassion or understanding by grafting his experiences over Jason’s and making it more about himself then Jay.

He needs to keep making others ‘better’, that’s why he keeps Jay around. But shuns him too. Bruce needs to fix Jay, but Jay is imperfect, a stain on his legacy. So he can’t.

If you think about it from this perspective, Gotham War starts to actually sound completely in character. He succeeded, he ‘fixed’ Jay in his mind.

Same with Damian, not exactly, but close. He just couldn’t be the one to ‘fix’ him. Yeah he values Damian because he’s his son, but paying attention to him regularly? Nope. Damian’s been ‘fixed’.

Tim doesn’t need to be fixed, he fixed Bruce so Bruce ignores him. Any attempt at fixing would be met with a wall.

As for Stephanie he couldn’t twist her story to fit his narrative, so he just completely rejects her. 

Cass and Dick are his legacy. They were ‘fixed’. That’s why he values them.

Some food for thought, I personally don’t like this, I like good dad Bruce Wayne that values all his kids equally and tries to reach out to Jay because he genuinely wants to help his son but won’t put Gotham in danger because of himself. He pays attention to Damian, praises Tim, wants the best for Steph even if she isn’t his daughter.

But, when you think of the wider scale of Bruce’s actions in the comics (without thinking of the hand of the author) this pattern is a thing. I REALLY want to be wrong.

PLEASE COMICS LET BRUCE BE A OKAY DAD! NOT EVEN GOOD JUST OKAY IS FINE! JUST LET HIM LOVE HIS KIDS EQUALLY AND WITHOUT ANY STRINGS ATTACHED!

I am unsure why, but this reminded me of my mother. I wonder how she has been.

Jason's time in the league except he knew Damian.

Like yeah I know Damian is a test tube baby and got aged a bit faster or something but imagine this.

Talia, no matter how mischaracterised, develops a soft spot for Jason while he is catatonic. She is also a mother and has been/is undeniably in love with Bruce. No matter how much it sounds like she only loved Bruce to produce the perfect heir, they were in love, even if it was just once. She, mother of Bruce's child, raising him to be strong, the way she know how, ready to let him be free and meet his father, shall he desire. That same mother finds Jason, the dead son, of his grave, wandering, his mind never fully there, and decides to heal his injuries and help him heal.

Maybe that wasn't the plan, at first, maybe she never expect to be mother of a child not biologically related to her. Maybe by the way she was raised or by the standards that surrounded her. But now? As she watches her child, because Jason is her son, murder is professors because he finds them unworthy of breathing. Maybe then she realises that motherhood was something she wished for, maybe living peacefully. She wouldn't, though. Maybe in another time, but now? She had her father to manipulate while watching her children thrive.

Maybe they could've been in a life without blood, but the doubts it. The kids are attracted to danger, most likely, they love saving. Albeit their methods bloody, she knows it won't last long, with her beloved so close.

Maybe she lets Jason go back to Gotham, followed by a couple Shadows under her and her sons command only. She calls every week, checks in, asks what his plans are, how the bat is doing. Maybe she lets him yell at her, his frustrations wild, that she knows can only be pleased with blood, that she knows makes his opinion of his family twisted. Never of Talia, no, maybe he never called her mother, but she is sure he would never let her see him this way otherwise. Maybe it's because she saw him at his worst, once, but maybe, maybe she can dwell on maybes, for once, and hope that Jason does consider her his mother. Even if she could never replace his late mother, at least letting her help him with his plans is the most she can ask for.

With that, she understands Gotham, instead of being through reports, news, old tales from her beloved, it's from her son. Soon, it would be from both of them.

For now, until Jason creates his big reveal, finishes his plans, deals with whatever issues he wants to deal with, she will let him have Gotham to himself. She will keep her father away. She will continue doting on Damian, as she will tell him stories of her beloved, The Bat, and let his eyes shine. As she could not preserve her sons innocence, but she could try to ignite their hopes.

hi, i'm kind of a newbie in comics and can you elaborate why pit madness is not real? thank you (i haven't got to the modern comics yet)

I’m pretty sure Pit Madness just… isn’t really a thing. There isn’t anything in Canon that outright says ‘the pit makes you crazy’

If anyone wants to correct me on anything, feel free to, because I’ve only read major comic book storylines

I think Pit Madness was made up in Fanon to justify Jason’s ‘insane’ actions— like eight heads in a duffle bag, or the attack on Titans Tower, or his whole pill helmet era— but they’re forgetting that Jason came back to life after being brutally murdered and I think he has a right to lose his mind a little bit after that, especially since he also had some major brain damage. It’s probably more likely that Jason has a chemical imbalance and has CPTSD, from his early life on the streets to the things that have happened to him during his time as Robin.

It’s also a way the fandom reinforce racist stereotypes about the Al-Ghuls. ‘But Talia threw Jason into the pit and pointed the pit madness towards Bruce’ that did not happen. Jason did most of his world tour on his own free will. He planned his return to Gotham all by himself.

In fact, Talia loves Bruce and she was finding Jason’s world tour, so she was probably guiding him away from killing Bruce.

Also, something something ‘Ras is a crazy creepy old man’ he wouldn’t be over 600 years old if the pit waters drive you insane.

I think there is a brief period of time RIGHT AFTER you emerge from the pit where you lose your mind, but it eventually wears off and it wouldn’t last for as long as the fandom makes it out to be, and it wouldn’t be flashes of Rage. It would probably be more akin to insanity, because it’s a cursed fountain of youth.

Hi! So answering first question, Danny is Damian since birth, he just got his memories back after a month of being in the Wayne manor. To the second Q, In my au, Damian/Danny is biological a female but is Ganderfluid but leans more to male! Yes he will give birth normally not ghost normal since his body is still human. For the third, Sam is Maps and Tucker is Jon, Damian will be uncomfortable to tell them anything, But Ra's and Talia was told the moment Damian/Danny got their memories back because he is panicking about the giving birth thing. Hope this clear things up!

Thankfully thanks to clockwork that didn't happen but it almost killed me, Sam and Tucker since we were with each other that time, while Dani and Dan were also together at the time unlike me, Sam and Tucker, they were much more closer to where the explosion happened so their core got damaged and Clockwork sent us five to another dimension to heal away from the GIW, and Dani and Dan needed a strong and capable someone to incubate in and that someone is me, so.. Here we are.. Let's just find where Tucker and Sam are so we can regroup..

And also help me deal with this, since... I DON'T WANNA EXPERIENCE LABOR PAIN WTF!!! TT-TT

And Danny is just being himself and then forgetting that his still very much known as Damian went to a WAYNE gala with Vlad -Maddie asked then to go so they could acompany Sam and it's just a one-sided awkwardness when the batfam see Danny being himself and blue screening because.. That's Damian, that's definitely Damian but his acting so differently, he quips, he jokes, he laughs and he smiles.. And they just see that Damian, their little stabby brother.. Is well acting like teenager but with other people that's not them.... And I can just imagine the heartbreaking realization of the batfam being told that they were just a mission for Danny/Damian.

Danny is reborn as Damian Wayne except he has zero plans of staying as Damien

There was an incident when Danny was 16 that caused him major injuries. in a deal with Clockwork as a way to technically rejuvenate him with no repercussions and as a way to still watch over Amity with full power. he needed to be reborn.

He is reborn back in time as Damian Wayne. Danny has to do certain things as canon events but by the time he reaches 16, he can leave and go back to Amity. which will not have even realized he has been gone.

Danny goes through all the normal plot points like being raised by the League of Assassins and going to train with his father as Robin but instead of treating it as his entire life's purpose he is treating it like a Clockwork mission. Danny has done a lot of missions where no time has changed at all between his leaving and coming back to the present so he is not very concerned.

Unfortunately for Danny he did not think of the loose ends he would leave. The bat family wakes up one morning expecting for Damien to be at breakfast only for him to not show up. They check rooms, Friends and trackers but they cannot find him. 

While Danny is reuniting with his friends and about to start his senior year, the entire hero community is trying to figure out where Damian has gone.

So people really liked this one so I added abit more detail and tried to make some things stand out more and actually blended Damians one, only issue is that I still can’t figure out time colouring because for some reason I can’t work with lighter ish colours. And Damians still looking at the sky xxxx❤️❤️.

Okay so this is about the extent of my ability to draw, but I couldn’t help myself I like eyes.... especially the batboys eyes ❤️❤️❤️ (they don’t actually completely look like this in canon just little ideas I have on their appearance(also limited eye shapes cause I can literally just draw one .. ))

I am pleased to say that by the end of this month I will have published three (3) fics on ao3 that I have been hard at work on for the past few months.

'How did we get here?' Is one of my most asked for fics. A Dp×DC cross over in which Danny goes to Gotham, meets the ghosts of Thomas and Martha Wayne and gets questioned by Batman is in the works! It's supposed to be a one-shot maybe 3 chapters at the max. (50/50 it'll be longer than that tho-) This is supposed to be updated every Friday (don't hold me to it.)

'Slight Changes' is mainly based on parts of the Batfam and may extend to other DC characters but is based entirely on them. Multi-chapter fic, don't know how long it'll be though. The only hint I'll give is that it's set in a mirror dimension. This is supposed to be updated every Saturday (again, don't hold me to it.)

'The Knights daughter' is a long Multi-chapter fic set mainly on the Batfam. (This has some (alot-) of my OC's in it.) A short synopsis is that Bruce has a daughter he didn't know about, he goes to find said daughter and she is more than he expected her to be in more than one way. This is supposed to be updated every other Wednesday (say it with me, don't hold me to it.)

I just thought of a au where all the Batkids are kind of like mob bosses but more in a “Red hood/kill the bad people in the city but leave the not so horrible ones to reform” way. But Bruce is good dad Bruce that love his kids and is a normal civilian that still has training form ether Alfred or still when on the travel the world training thing. But did not become Batman and is like the Batfamily webtoon Bruce. In which he is sweet and calls his kids nicknames just being a good dad/person.

Wether Bruce knows what his kids are doing is up to anyone to interpret but I think it is funny either way because the Batkids are in the living room talking about some plan then Bruce comes in and is like: Hello Jason, Dick, Damian, Tim, Cass, Steph, Duke (did I forget any base kids?) while giving them a kiss on their head. Goes and gets something and while he is leaving he hears “Thank goodness we switch to a different topic before he can in” and Bruce just smiles because he knows but does not want to put them out there.

I love when Bruce calls his kids sweetheart. Because Bruce in all his English influenced life would go to his sad kid and say, “ How are you doing sweetheart?” Then the bat kid would most likely not want to talk so he would say something like, “Ok, sweetheart how about we go get you a choccy?”

Because Bruce is not good at talking about feeling or thoughts but he will try for his kids and he is a good father dang it. Plus Alfred has raised that man like an old English baby and you can tell.

So the fix is that Bruce got hit with a truth serum that kind of just makes Bruce say the first thing that come to mind. So Jason still convinced that Bruce hates him asks Bruce what he thinks of him. Bruce answers like this: (be warned I do not remember how it went exactly)

Jason: What do you think of me?!

Bruce: Baby

Jason convinced that Bruce that some how found a way around the serum: What about Dick?!?!

Bruce: Acrobat Baby

Jason: Tim

Bruce: Tech Baby ( or smart baby)

Jason: Steph
