Taemi Mori's execution

(I finally managed to write this! :D My first time actually writing so I hope everyone that was waiting for this is satisfied, have a good time reading!)

"IT'SSSS PUNISHMENT TIMEEE!!!!"

How many times had Taemi heard this? 2? 3? 4? She didn't remember but it didn't really matter, she wouldn't have to hear it any longer so counting was no concern now, how lucky!..Well, maybe lucky was not the best word, but after killing [REDACTED] she was getting a lot more than she believed she deserved.

That was one of the various thoughts on her head as she felt the metal collar lock around her neck, stealing the air from her lungs as it dragged her away from the court room and classmates to whatever was waiting for her.

Long hallways were all that was visible for a while, followed by complete darkness and eventual light, and before she knew it Taemi found herself in a..stage? It was like her own stage but..different. Most was similar, red, yellow and white curtains, bright lights pointing to the stage she fell into, big decorations and details everywhere. She stood up, a bit wobbly from being dropped so carelessly, only to be met with countless gazes...well, sort of.

Countless figures with scribbled faces, of all ages and genders, both in the audience and in the stage as other performers, were looking at them, the closer ones even having puppet joints.

Taemi felt a bit uneasy at the 'realism' but still kept on her smile, not like she was happy, of course not, but if she was going to die in front of everyone she didn't want her last performance to be some kind of pity party, she wanted to honor her talent, to spare one big show and make it remarkable..to make it worth what she had done.

As the execution music started playing, a more circus themed version of it, she noticed a big vertical counter on the curtain, from 0 to 100, the 0 with sad face and the 100 with a laughing one instead, it was quite obvious what she was supposed to do, make the audience laugh, she could do that..

So she did!

She didn't know how but she didn't care, she just did it all, speaking and presenting each and every act with more and more effort, speaking louder and non-stop gesturing as the figures on stage moved and performed. Smiles, shouts, jokes, dancing, anything that made the people entertained she did, and it worked perfectly - The scribbled on their faces turned into happy smiles, the cheerful sounds coming from the crowd making her feel the adrenaline on her body, the counter going up nonstop.

..20..45..65..80..and eventually 100!

Taemi was glad that it reached the top, she actually did it! She made the incredible final show she desired!!..

..Yet..strangely nothing happened, the cheerings continued and so did the performers, not stopping once, which confused her but she went along with it, so much agitation she almost forgot it was only leading to her inevitable death..

As she kept the show going, suddenly a monokuma dressed as a clown came up with a giant circus hammer and banged the counter on the curtain, making it spin a lot until it went still again, but this time turned upside down, the top saying the same 0 as before and the bottom with a -100 and a angry face, and when Taemi saw it? She was shocked, and a bit scared but she tried to keep it up, please tell her that it was not going on what she thought of..

Taemi continued the show, keeping on her theatrical smile and composure, trying to ignore the sweat in her hands and the fast beating of her heart, performing just as greatly as before..but the results weren't as great.

In one moment everything was 'perfect', the counter was on 0, people cheering and laughing, perfect music playing, various performers on stage with the focus on them. In the other moment everything had gone south, no matter what Taemi did the counter went down and reached -100, smiles had turned into frowns and cries, booing instead of cheering, the music getting more and more distorted and performers disappearing or breaking apart, one by one..until eventually Taemi was the only one on stage.

She wanted to keep going even with no more people for acts, the lights focusing on her in the stage's center. Taemi tried to think of something, she really did, but while she was silently panicking and doing her best to figure it out the people got more agitated, their voices getting louder and louder in the crowd.

"Why is this show so mediocre?"

"How boring!"

"I thought this would be better.."

"This is a waste of time."

Usually Taemi would have a polite thing to say back, a laugh to put on, a shrug to leave it be, but right now? The constant reminder of death and fear of every next second was eating her up, especially when the people didn't stop and their words got harsher..

"Is that girl even trying?"

"Does she think she's good or something?"

"Ha! What a stupid joke!"

"Just leave the stage already!"

"Such a disappointment.."

Those were only examples of the thousands of insults and comments she could hear, her chest tightening and her smile wavering. She wanted to continue the show and improve it but before she could even begin to try she felt a sudden pressure in her chest and saw a red stain in her suit..what the..

It confused Taemi for a few seconds but when she saw another one in her leg she understood what it was, tomatoes.

Tomatoes were being thrown at her along with shouts and booing, and of course it was not only that that was being thrown - Eggs, shoes, trash, cans, rocks, knifes, etc.. it all hurt, the sharper things leaving bruises and cuts all over her body, leaving cuts and stains in her clothes.

As it went on and on it only got worse, Taemi's breath getting shaky, her smile no longer on her face, the pain getting stronger, her unblinking eyes getting watery and her body almost shaking as she panicked, no longer being able to hear coherent phrases between the distorted music tunes as she became overwhelmed.

"Murderer"

"Weak"

"Heartless"

"Lost soul"

"Ordinary"

It was all swirling in Taemi's head as she tried to shut the noise off, trying to ignore the words and pain she felt all at once, both in her skin and in her heart..yet, despite all of that, a different sound rang out in her ears between all the noise, a sound coming from above, almost as if something opening..

"Huh..?"

She barely choked out between breaths as she turned her head to look up at the ceiling above the stage, her vision blurred for a second by her watery gaze, and in the red curtain she saw a bunch of confetti coming out from a hole, followed by the sight of a huge blade just above.

Taemi's eyes widened as she saw the shiny mouton over her, giant, sharp and unmoving, the music reaching its peak, the instruments pausing and the lights fully focusing on her, everything else going dark..and, as a finale, the weapon suddenly dropping on top of her.

She barely had time to react as the last thing her crying eyes saw were confetti, angry faces and the blade that cut her throat open in one go, splashing her pink blood everywhere on stage, the music ending cheerfully and confetti flying everywhere, her pityful body being dropped on the wooden floor and ending her perfomance and execution..and her life as well..

Taemi kinda reminds me of Chevreuse from Genshin Impact!! :D

I remember seeing you comment that in one of her first posts, and honestly? She kinda does!

The color pallete, hair shape and hat really help with that, and funny enough I think she'd use a polearm and be either a Pyro or Electro character, a big yet nice coincidence ^^

Gonna probably write a execution for my OC as I have a pretty fair idea of how it'd be, so if I suddenly post a giant post depicting how she'd die don't be surprised :D

That seems like a fun trio, maybe a bit of chaos but still fun, I like it!

Update!

For the dangan OC video thing (I have no idea of how to call it-) I'll be allowing for people to request more than 1 OC, including the ones who've already submitted theirs! Both because I think it'd be more fun like that and cause it's been some time, I've reached the celebration mile and there's still 10 spaces available.

Made some Taemi And Gureguru, @sammylbir 's OC, doodles cause I've been wanting to draw these 2 for a while. It's also Gureguru's birthday (at least in my timezone), so I'll consider this a birthday present for him.

I've never seen this man in my life, he looks like a bastard and I like it, it only makes the comparison better! Naturally I had to make a shitty doodle at 2 AM of it.

It's also kinda funny cause Taemi's planned outfit was pretty similar to his, having more gold chains and the gold chest details.

Following @/mistyghostzzz's ask about Taemi's role in Class 77-B and the Remnants of Despair, how did she fall into despair anyways? Was she manipulated and corrupted by having any weaknesses of hers exploited and taken advantage of by Junko or was she hypnotized/mind controlled into it via the despair video and if the latter's the case, in what method was that done in: watching the student council murder each other, being lobotomized like Chisa, or watching Chiaki die from her execution alongside the rest of Class 77)?

I haven't watched the anime nor played SDR2 but I can still say that she would be mind controled into it all by the despair video, more specifically Chiaki's execution alongside Class 77-B, simple but pratical. (I actually plan on drawing some anime screenshots with her so I might as well try to draw that scene.)

Just two words - Electro Swing

Sure, she might like other songs and find other genres nice like Jazz or even Pop, nothing too sad or agressive, probably more upbeat or calm stuff, but you put Electro Swing on for her? She'll be listening to that all day or more, any occasion, any time, you'll take out her earphones and you'll hear something that looks like it came straight out of Cuphead-

She'd be either a survivor or a culprit because it'd be quite difficult to kill her without a elaborate plan, she's fairly strong and not that vulnerable after all.

As a survivor there's not much to say but as a killer? Well, she'd not be able to bring herself to kill someone even for her own benefit and saving, only killing someone if it was to save everyone in a urgent situation and only after a long time into the game, kinda like Sakura or Gundham, in fact I've thought of an execution for her, not sure who she'd kill tho.

Since Taemi is apart of the SDR2 cast, does she catch Despair Disease? If she does, what kind of disease does she get?

Oh boy my girl would be a mess-

Due to her attention to detail Taemi would be a good unit during trials, but with the Despair Disease it would be harder for her to help in Chapter 3, therefore why she'd definitely get it.

She'd get a variant of disease called 'Memory Disease', where aside of the usual effects such as fever, sweating, dizziness, weakness and headaches, she'd totally forget everyone, who they are, how they are as people and a bit of the situation too, not totally but details such as where places are and how she got there.

She'd also have a personality change from her usual polite and calm nature to a more hostile and nervous one, not recognizing anyone and only trusting a person or two depending on the situation.

Her interactions would go from, for example, "Oh! Hello Hinata, do you need my help for something?" in her normal polite way to "...!- Don't touch me!..who..who are you again?"

Considering everyone altogether I think the only people she'd be somewhat ok with interacting would be Mikan, Gundham and Akane (with the disease).

I intended her to be part of the danganronpa 2 cast, I think the dynamics would be very interesting, especially with people like Ibuki or Hiyoko, it'd be chaotic as hell.

She got two more sprites, nothing big but not bad either, I hope it's nice.

Finally made Taemi's first sprite, it's just the default one but I'm happy with how it came out.
