Trix headcanon of the day #35
What do they think of the nickname "the trix"?
Icy: Icy loves it. She is proud that she and her sisters are so intimidating they were given a name that strikes fear into the hearts of others. Definitely one of her proudest achievements. Also her only real achievement
Darcy: She thinks it is an incredibly stupid name and is low key embarrassed that no one could think of anything better. And that was before she found out it was the name of a cereal. That was a depressing day for her
Stormy: Doesn't really think about it. She probably doesn't know that other people made it up. She just assumed that Icy made it up to seem cool (because she would)

Pain!
(That's every headcanon) More specifically pain sensitivity and pain tolerance. This is physical pain for clarification. I also included what they do for pain vaguely.
Icy: She's not that sensitive to pain. I like to think that with her ice powers she is somewhat numb to pain, like how you ice an injury and it lessens the pain but doesn't completely get rid of it. She also has a very high pain tolerance. She would probably need to have lost a limb before she would even consider getting any kind of medical attention
Darcy: She is pretty sensitive to pain, but has a high pain tolerance and can hide it very well. She is more likely to try to handle any pain herself instead of seeking a medical proffesional.
Stormy: Also pretty sensitive to pain, however she has a much lower pain tolerance. You know she is in pain because she is complaining. When she is in pain she goes to Icy and Icy is the one who decides if she should just suck it up, go to an actual doctor, or if the sisters should try to find something out on their own. They usually try to have Stormy suck it up, but after twenty minutes of complaining Icy and Darcy try to find a solution.

Sleep schedules
Icy: probably the most consistent. Maybe 11:30am to 7:00am. She seems like an early riser. She thinks her sister's sleep schedules are ridiculous and looks down on them.
Darcy: The reason I made this post in the first place. A few people argued that Darcy doesn't sleep, which I do agree with. If she is lucky Darcy will get maybe three 45min-1 hour long sleeps throughout the day at random times. Typically one around 4:00am, One at 1:00pm, and one around 7:30 pm. Her sleep schedule varies that most with the time and length of these naps. (yes, it depends on Liliss lol)
Stormy: She sleeps from whenever her body gives out (around 2:30) to whenever Icy wakes her up (7:30 am usually). She has no control over her sleep schedule, she is at the mercy of those around her and her own body's limits.

Stormy drools in her sleep, Icy sleeps on top of the covers, and Darcy sleeps like a normal person.

Favorite sister
Icy: Probably Darcy. She is much easier to get along with and more relaxed than Stormy. They are also more similar personality wise. However, she spends more time with Stormy and spends more time worrying thinking about her. Stormy is more reliant on her than Darcy is, and it is nice to feel needed. The both hold a special place in her cold twisted heart.
Darcy: Icy, hands down. Icy is reliable and isn't a complete Driven hater. She has a lot of faith in Icy. Meanwhile, Stormy is an overstimulating mess that she has to live with.
Stormy: Icy mostly because Darcy is always annoyed at her. She can tell Icy really cares about her and Stormy has a lot of trust in her because of this. She would be terrified to live without Icy, but life without Darcy would be manageable. She worries that without Icy, Darcy would have abandoned her a long time ago. Icy is the mediator between Darcy and Stormy

Crying
Icy: Doesn't cry. How dare you assume that. That's...ridiculous
Darcy: We actually see her cry in the show, and I believe that she would be a full blown ugly cryer. Hot mess. Completely smudging her makeup, mascara running down her face. Think that one picture of Kim Kardashian. She doesn't cry that often or that easily though.
Stormy: She tries to cover her face, with her hands or by turning away from her sisters. She is embarrassed that she is crying and as the youngest it worried she will be seen as less than or a crybaby. She also kicks thinks and hits things.
So anyway, I accidentally wrote a fanfic. It's some of my okay-ist work. I needed to combine as many of my headcanons as I could into a fic and this is it. Anyway, enjoy!
Where did Beatrix go?
Chapter 1: The baby unicorn
Beatrix sat on the floor of the room that she shared with her sisters, as she played with her toys. The three baby unicorns and their mother were crossing the river ( a blue blanket) one by one. She was grabbing the last baby unicorn to make it cross too when she felt a sharp tug on her arm. She looked up and saw her older sister Darcy.
“Come on Beatrix. It’s time for dinner. Mom’s been calling you for like five minutes.” Beatrix set the last baby unicorn down and followed her sister down the stairs, trying to avoid the spots that always gave splinters.
As soon as Beatrix saw her mother, ran up to give her a hug, pushing past Darcy in the process. “Well there you are, Storm. I almost thought you ran away.” Beatrix just giggled in response before sitting down at the table between her Mother and oldest sister.
Beatrix had two big sisters named Icobel and Darcella, but Beatrix usually just called her Darcy. They could be mean sometimes, but mostly they were fine. Beatrix didn’t have a dad, but her mother said that wasn’t important. Sometimes when her mother wasn’t listening Icobel would tell her that they did have a father, but he went away. She also told Beatrix not to talk about it around their mom. There were a lot of things they couldn’t say around their mom. She could get scary. It was hard for Beatrix to remember them all sometimes.
Beatrix played with her food as she ate. She knew she shouldn’t, but she just couldn’t help herself.
“Ew! Mom! Make her stop!” Darcy exclaimed. Beatrix glared at her sister with as much intimidation a five year old with potatoes dripping down her chin could muster. Her mother sighed as she brushed her hand through Beatrix’s dark, curly, hair.
“Beatrix, you know not to play with your food,” her mother said gently. Beatrix looked in her mother’s big cyan eyes.
“Mmkay Mommy” Beatrix responded. She scooched her chair closer to her mother’s. Beatrix loved to be near her mother. Her mom made potions and other stuff in the kitchen and then sold it to other people, so she always smelled like pretty plants.
Beatrix didn’t pay much attention to what was being said for the rest of dinner. She was like this often. Her mother said that it was like she was in another world. However, the next thing she knew her mothers had sharply stood up, knocking a glass cup off the table. Beatrix heard the glass break and turned to help her mom clean it up, when Icobel grabbed her by the back of her shirt and aggressively pulled her away from her mother. She was about to turn and tell her mother to punish Icobel, when Darcy tightly grabbed her arm and led her to the backyard. Once they were outside and Beatrix felt Darcy’s grip loosen she yelled “Ow! Why did you do that!?”
“Shut up” Darcy whispered sharply as she sat on the ground. Beatrix knew better to ignore the order her sister had given her, but just because she couldn’t verbally communicate her dismay didn’t mean she couldn’t show it in other ways.
Beatrix stomped her foot and sat down across from her sister in a big huff, crossing her arms. She looked up to see if her sister looked sorry, but Darcy just rolled her eyes. She did that a lot at Beatrix.
The two sisters sat apart from each other for what felt like a long time to Beatrix. She could tell Darcy was getting more upset with every passing minute. Darcy sharply got up and stood in front of Beatrix when she heard the door open. Beatrix was about to kick her for blocking her view, when Darcy started running towards the door. It was just Icobel. Beatrix didn’t understand what was so exciting. The two older sisters walked to the middle of the yard where Beatrix was sitting. They kept whispering back and forth. Beatrix tried to hear what they were talking about, but they stopped talking once they got close to her.
Icobel and Darcy sat down across from her. Suddenly, Icobel’s entire posture shifted and she excitedly said “Hey Beatrix! We’re going to be camping tonight. Doesn’t that sound fun?” She sounded way too peppy. Beatrix hated when her sisters talked to her like this. It was like she was a baby. She was only one grade younger than Darcy. She wasn’t a baby anymore.
Beatrix put on her best angry face. “Not really,” she mumbled. Her sisters completely ignored her obvious objection. “Oh, don’t be so stormy,” Darcy said, tussling her hair. Stormy batted her hand away. Stormy was Beatrix’s nickname that her mother called her sometimes. But, sometimes Icobel and Darcy called her that whenever they thought she was being too angry. She didn’t like it as much then.
Beatrix’s sisters had told her that they would be sleeping in the garden, because the ground was the softest. Beatrix liked looking at her mother’s plants. They were all so pretty.
Icobel started giving orders to her sisters. She always liked doing that. “Beatrix you can sleep by the thyme.”
“When?” Beatrix responded. Icobel looked annoyed at her, but worse was Darcy who had started laughing. Beatrix didn’t understand what was so funny, which made her angry. Her sisters always left her out of jokes.
“Just ignore what I said, okay? Sleep here,” Icobel said, pointing to a section of the garden. “Now try to go to sleep, okay?” Beatrix grumbled in response. They let her body sink into the dirt and tried to fall asleep.
When Beatrix woke up the next morning, she was back in her own bed. She looked around and saw her sisters were asleep in their bunk beds too. It was like she never fell asleep outside at all. Beatrix wasn’t sure if Icobel and Darcy knew she remembered camping nights. None of them ever mentioned them and Beatrix was a bit scared about what Icobel would do to her if she did.
As Beatrix got out of bed she looked down at where she had left her toys from before dinner. The last baby unicorn was still on the other side of the river.

Greatest fears (or one of them)
Icy: Her greatest fear is loss of power. She can deal with failure and rejection (she is used to it by now), but she would not be able to cope with loss of power. Not only her magic powers, but the power she has over others. She needs her sisters to be looking up to her. She needs to be the leader.
Darcy: Darcy would be most scared of loss of control. Darcy is a strategist and plans everything out beforehand. She is very conscious of everything she does and not having control would be stressful and demeaning for her
Stormy: Stormy would be most scared of getting left behind. She is scared of her sisters abandoning her because they see her as stupid and impulsive. She is scared to do things by herself and figure out how to live independently. She has major FOMO

How they would react to april fools jokes. Because today is april fools day.
Icy: Murder
Darcy: Darcy would be able to tell as Stormy someone is walking up to her that they are going to be trying to trick her just by the look on their face. After they do their most convincing joke she would just stare at them until they assume it was a bad idea and go away
Stormy: Would be wholeheartedly tricked they first time and then she would be super paranoid for the rest of the day

Real names/ how they got their nicknames
Icy: Her real name is Icobel, pronounced Isobel (her mother was quirky) She essentially one day at around 13 or something was like "I am going to go as Icy now" and everyone around her was like "yeah sure whatever"
Darcy: Her real name was Darcella, and it was shortened to Darcy pretty immediately. She never really went by her real name
Stormy: Her real name is Beatrix, just because I think it is really funny. The only good thing about Fate was that it proved what some of us already knew: the trix are the best part of winx club. As a child she was nicknamed Stormy whenever she was angry as a joke, but over time it just sort of became her name.
(Can I even call these headcanons anymore? At this point it basically is it's own AU)

Icy and Stormy's opinions on Riven
Icy: really just sees him as a waste of time. Yes, he brought the trix valuable information, but Icy thinks they easily could have figured it out on their own. She didn't like that Darcy was distracted and was also probably a little jealous that Darcy was creating a life outside of her sisters
Stormy: Stormy HATES Riven. She thinks he is obnoxious, loud, and aggressive (All things she is). She also didn't like him taking her big sister away. There would be five minute stretches when Stormy and Riven would get along really well because they have similar personalities and senses of humors, but then Stormy would suddenly remember she hates him and go back to glaring at him while Darcy rolls her eyes.

Broken bones because I also realized I have opinions on this
Icy: Has never broken a bone in her life. She is terrified that one day she will, but would never admit this out loud. She doesn't admit any of her fears out loud and makes you feel inferior if you do.
Darcy: In the cinelume dub (I think) she breaks her nose when the trix are trying to summon the power from Stella's ring. It gets fixed immediately when they do that reverse spell. Maybe she would have also broken a finger at some point. I can't really picture it breaking any major limbs. (In the comics she breaks her leg, but I don't feel like counting that today)
Stormy: She has probably broken her arm as a kid at some point and it was probably Icy and/or Darcy's fault, but they would deny it

Which winx girl each of them is most jealous of
Icy: Aisha or Stella: has always wanted to be royalty, hence why she makes Knut refers to the Trix as highnesses. She's more jealous of all royals getting power, status, and nice things without having to work for it. I did not include Bloom because let's face it: Icy would rather die than live without magic
Darcy: Musa: Yes, because of Riven. She would lie and say she is most jealous of Stella if asked.
Stormy: Bloom: Bloom is the beloved leader of the Winx and Stormy is very much the punching bag of the Trix. She would kill for people to treat her like they treat Bloom
Trix headcanon of the day #22
Icy won't acknowledge this but she is the mom of the group. She is the one Darcy and Stormy come to with their problems for her to fix.
She is also the healer of the group and uses her ice to treat injuries. I recently watched the 4kids dub for the first time and in the "crappy pixies beating the trix via the power of having the same proportions as a funko pop" episode, Stormy calls the ice put on her eyes "the soothing ice," which I am choosing to interpret as this is something that Icy does often for her sisters

Favorite colors
Icy: A soft pastel blue. Her civilian outfit was light blue and I always associated her with light blue, even though her witch form is darker. This is the closest I could find
Darcy: This purple. It had to be purple and this one wasn't do dark or too bright. Her favorite wouldn't be light purple
Stormy: A medium hot pink. Some people see her outfits as red, but I don't. I didn't want to do a dark color like her outfits, because I don't think her outfits represent who she is the way Icy's and Darcy's do. I wanted her favorite color to be a pink that wasn't too fairy-like, but also something she may not be comfortable wearing around cloud tower. I wanted to find pink that didn't seem to bright or neon, and I was pretty happy with this one.
The Trix as...
Scents
This is what scent the trix would be, not their favorite. That is a different post. This one is more unhinged
Icy: One of those candles that says it smells like a beach, but doesn't actually smell like a beach. She would be the smell of imitation beach
Darcy: A candle that is supposed to smell nice, but when you sniff it, it just smells like wax and you get sad. Like you can get a little bit of the intended scent scent, but it is overpowered by the scent of wax. Not that I think Darcy smells like wax, but she is deceptive enough to be this candle
Stormy: The smell of a Bath and Bodyworks store, when you walk in and realize that you can in fact be overstimulated by smell. It's chaotic enough to be Stormy

Each girl's favorite scents
Icy: One of those perfumes that "smells" like bamboo, when it really smells like flowers. I can see. her liking a soft, delicate scent
Darcy: Lavender. It's a nice relaxing scent. Also purple. The plant being purple definitely played a part in making it her favorite
Stormy: The smell it makes when it's raining outside. (I'm low on creativity today, sue me) It is actually called petrichor, but Stormy would not know that

The trix do NOT share clothes with each other. For one, their styles are different enough that they don't really have any desire to. They actually respect each others belongings and don't go through each others things. They do really trust each other. If they did want to borrow something they would ask the other sister first and let them be the one to grab it. They may be evil and competitive, but they respect each other's space (side eye to my sister)
Trix headcanon of the day #18
How their goals/lives would have changed without each other. Like if the other two never existed
Icy: For Icy not much would be different. She would still try to get the dragon flame and take over the dimension. I can see her being much more ruthless and bloodthirsty without her sisters. She would be more risky too, since she is only putting herself at risk. I don't think her story would really change until season 3, since Icy would not be competing for attention the same way.
Darcy: I don't think Darcy would be ambitious enough to try to take the dragon flame. I still think she would be manipulative, but she doesn't have any real motivation. She would still go after Riven, but eventually one of them would break it off and she would move on to the next man. This would create a cycle for her where she can't tell if she actually likes someone or if she just wants to manipulate them. Anyway. Angst.
Stormy: Without her sisters to guide her, I just imagine Stormy becoming a background character. She would still have anger issues, but I think without two strong personalities guiding her she would have a normal witch life. She wouldn't do anything remarkable, she would just be ordinary. She would be happier being normal.

Hair:
Icy: She has really thin hair (the ponytail is not helping) The ponytail also pulled her hairline back. However she will never get rid of the ponytail because she thinks it looks cool (pun intended)
Darcy: The best taken care of hair out of the group. Uses hair oils and other fancy stuff. However her hair does lose volume because of the length. She thinks Icy's hair looks ridiculous
Stormy: Her hair is not very well taken care of since as the only person with curly hair in their family she has never learned to take care of it. It's always a struggle with her.

Their mother would always be very open about who was her favorite child at any point in time. It was usually Darcy (because she was a suck up) or Stormy (by default). It was almost never Icy because she was more likely to be blamed for her sister's behavior.
This led to them being so vulnerable to Valtor pinning them against each other later on.
Trix headcanon of the day #14
Dancing skills:
Icy: No one will ever know. She is too self conscious to try. She will act like she is too cool for it (pun intended) but in reality she doesn't want people watching her.
Darcy: Also will not dance, but she does know she is bad. I just think it would be really funny if she is completely in control emotionally and is a skilled manipulator, but if you put her on the dance floor she is an uncoordinated mess.
Stormy: Like in season 8 I think she is just a randomly good dancer. Like normal people I don't really consider seasons 5-8 cannon, but I just think this is really funny. Her being good at dance us really random, but it fits her well. She can destroy anyone at just dance.

None of the trix know how to cook. Not even Darcy. They are all terrible and will burn the house down. Stormy would do it on purpose if you make her try

My explanation/ headcanon of Stormy wears skirts much more often than Icy and Darcy (and the winx actually) in the seasons that count anyway
I always liked to imagine that both Icy and Darcy are just completely gorgeous. Meanwhile Stormy is more average. As the trix got older she started feeling self conscious about her looks and started wearing more skirts to try to appear more feminine and more beautiful. It didn't really matter to anyone but her, but it made her feel better even if it didn't really make her happy.
As opposed to Icy and Darcy who are very comfortable in their pastel preppy and dark hippie styles, Stormy never really got a chance to discover her style and her clothes more reflect wanting to fit in vs. reflecting who she is
Of course due to evil shenanigans the trix end up wearing potato sacks forever

Darcy reads classic books just to say she did. She ends up just skimming but doesn't really absorb the plot. This isn't really a problem because no one she hangs out with (Icy and Stormy) would A. read a classic book or B. want to have an intellectual conversation about the plot points in detail
Trix headcanon of the day #9
Handwriting:
Icy: I just see her handwriting as being almost deceptively cute. Like lots of curves and swirls and that kind of thing
Darcy: very uniform, very neat. Everything is the same height. Her handwriting is so neat it looks fake. Her handwriting looks like Arial font. Five pages later and it is still neat.
Stormy: Just a hot mess. She writes like she was in a rush and it just gets worse as the page goes on. Even she can't decipher what she wrote sometimes.
